  • Java ME bundle Microlog jars with my midlet jar.

    - by Nimrod Shory
Hello, I'm pretty new to Java ME and i'm trying to use Microlog to handle logging in my midlet. In eclipse i can reference Microlog jars and it's all good in dev time, but when i try to launch the application the jars aren't found on the device. How can i bundle those referenced libs into my midlet? Thanks.

  • try-catch in JavaScript : how to get stack trace or line number of the original error

    - by Greg Bala
When using TRY-CATCH in JavaScript, how to get the line number of the line that caused the error? On many browsers, the below code will work great and I will get the stack trace that points to the actual line that throw the exception. However, some browsers do not have "e.stack". Iphone's safari is one example. Is there someway to get the line number that will work for all browsers? try { // lots of code here var i = v.WillGenerateError; // how to get this line number in catch?? // lots of code here } catch (e) { alert (e.stack) // this will not work on iPhone, for example } Many thanks!

  • Will NKDbgPrintfW be compiled to nop in release build?

    - by Johann Gerell
I know about and have used the macros DEBUGMSG, RETAILMSG, ERRORMSG, that all take a condition parameter. For general formatted debug output, though, I want to use ::NKDbgPrintfW directly and wonder if someone knows if it compiles to a nop in optimised release builds or if my own macro wrapper around it with #ifdef DEBUG is still needed?

  • Android Admob is not Showing Up

    - by Brandon
Admob is not showing up on my emulator or on the device it self. I tried with testing mode on and off. Relevant Manifest data: permissions: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_INTERNAL_STORAGE" /> meta data: <meta-data android:value="true" android:name="AD_REQUEST" /> The x's are actually my ID. My whole main.xml: <com.admob.android.ads.AdView android:id="@+id/ad" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:visibility="visible" android:layout_alignParentTop="true"/> Hopefully I can get this solved soon...

  • How to register mouse_down on backpanel?

    - by ikky
Hi. Here is an image to illustrate what i mean: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/497/windowsmobilee.png I have one backpanel that listens to mouse_down event. Infront of that backpanel i have another panel(Overlaying panel), and a label in top. If i push the mousebutton on the label or the "Overlaying panel", nothing is registered. Is it possible to just make the backpanel listen for mouse actions, or do i have to create listeners for the other panel and label to? Thanks in advance

  • Scroll Gestures not Passed to IScrollInfo implementing panel in Windows Phone 7 CTP

    - by user50088
I am using a custom panel as a ItemsPanel for a ItemsControl in a with a custom template that provides for a scroll viewer. (See Xaml below.) So long as my panel does not implement IScrollInfo, scrolling works in this scenerio. I implement IScrollInfo and update my viewport and extent sizes in measure override. The scroll bar shows the correct relative size, and if I call the IScrollInfo methods directly, scrolling works as expected. However, the drag and flick gestures no longer scroll the content. Putting a breakpoint on the input of every IScrollInfo method shows that drag and pick are not calling the interface. Removing the IScrollInfo interface declaration restores the scroll on drag and flick behavior. Is there a simple way to restore the flick and pan gestures to ItemControls with panels that implement IScrollInfo?

  • Formulae for U and V buffer offset

    - by Abhi
Hi all ! What should be the buffer offset value for U & V in YUV444 format type? Like for an example if i am using YV12 format the value is as follows: ppData.inputIDMAChannel.UBufOffset = iInputHeight * iInputWidth + (iInputHeight * iInputWidth)/4; ppData.inputIDMAChannel.VBufOffset = iInputHeight * iInputWidth; iInputHeight = 160 & iInputWidth = 112 ppdata is an object for the following structure: typedef struct ppConfigDataStruct { //--------------------------------------------------------------- // General controls //--------------------------------------------------------------- UINT8 IntType; // FIRSTMODULE_INTERRUPT: the interrupt will be // rised once the first sub-module finished its job. // FRAME_INTERRUPT: the interrput will be rised // after all sub-modules finished their jobs. //--------------------------------------------------------------- // Format controls //--------------------------------------------------------------- // For input idmaChannel inputIDMAChannel; BOOL bCombineEnable; idmaChannel inputcombIDMAChannel; UINT8 inputcombAlpha; UINT32 inputcombColorkey; icAlphaType alphaType; // For output idmaChannel outputIDMAChannel; CSCEQUATION CSCEquation; // Selects R2Y or Y2R CSC Equation icCSCCoeffs CSCCoeffs; // Selects R2Y or Y2R CSC Equation icFlipRot FlipRot; // Flip/Rotate controls for VF BOOL allowNopPP; // flag to indicate we need a NOP PP processing }*pPpConfigData, ppConfigData; and idmaChannel structure is as follows: typedef struct idmaChannelStruct { icFormat FrameFormat; // YUV or RGB icFrameSize FrameSize; // frame size UINT32 LineStride;// stride in bytes icPixelFormat PixelFormat;// Input frame RGB format, set NULL // to use standard settings. icDataWidth DataWidth;// Bits per pixel for RGB format UINT32 UBufOffset;// offset of U buffer from Y buffer start address // ignored if non-planar image format UINT32 VBufOffset;// offset of U buffer from Y buffer start address // ignored if non-planar image format } idmaChannel, *pIdmaChannel; I want the formulae for ppData.inputIDMAChannel.UBufOffset & ppData.inputIDMAChannel.VBufOffset for YUV444 Thanks in advance

  • Datagrid CurrentRowIndex returns -1??

    - by runxc1 Bret Ferrier
    This seems quite odd. I have a Datagrid (.net 3.5 cf) that I bind to either a List or Inventory[]. When I click on a row and then hit a button to perform an action when I bind to a List CurrentRowIndex is -1. When I bind to Inventory[] and perform the same action CurrentRowIndex comes back with the selected row why is that?? grdBatch.DataSource = InventoryItems.ToArray(); vs grdBatch.DataSource = InventoryItems;

  • JavaMe Bluetooth service registration

    - by NoGlue
Hello, I am trying to develope an application that offers a service via bluetooth. Everything works fine in the emulator but as soon I install it on a real device (6120/X6 Nokia) the service cannot be found. If I search for already registered services such as OBEX they are found. So I think it has something to do with the registration. This is how I register the service, all of this happens in its own thread. try { LocalDevice.getLocalDevice().setDiscoverable(DiscoveryAgent.GIAC); } catch (BluetoothStateException e) { } try { notifier = (StreamConnectionNotifier) Connector.open(m_url); ServiceRecord sr = local.getRecord(notifier); StreamConnection conn = notifier.acceptAndOpen(); } catch (IOException e) { } And this is what m_url looks like: "btspp://localhost:" + 0x1116 + ";name=BlueMatch"; Thanks for your time. Best regards

  • Using too much memory in C/NDK?

    - by rebeccamaher
I've recently found out there is no hard limit to how much memory you can allocate in C/NDK on Android. This is in contrast to Java where the limit is ~24Mb. I'm working on a few apps that could greatly benefit from using about ~50Mb total. Is this far too much memory to use? Does anyone have any experience with developing apps that go above the Java limit and what impact this has across devices? Obviously, I don't want to kill all background apps by consuming too much memory and I know the Android devs suggest not using too much memory but limiting all apps to ~24Mb is very limiting to certain kinds of apps. I've seen a few Android games recently that say they use ~256Mb. I'm planning to use about 50Mb total for my app. Does this sound reasonable in terms of stability across devices that have a limit of 24Mb?

  • How to implement thread timeout in J2ME?

    - by lilo
I am using Connector in J2ME and found that sometimes it take a very long time to send a request, and sometime it may halt the whole process. So I try to put code related to Connector in a thread and try to set timeout to the thread. But I found out that it's very difficult to do this in J2ME because there's no join(long) in J2ME. Is there any way to do this? Or any better way to deal with network connection in J2ME? Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Android Development Device

    - by jamesaharvey
I'm looking to get a device (phone, tablet, etc.) for developing Android applications. I know I can use the emulator to get me started, but I feel like that will only get me so far along. I'm looking for something reasonably priced, and I don't want a phone contract, data plan, etc. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Are QR codes guaranteed to work?

    - by Kiz
Not sure if this will get closed as "not a real question" but I asked this on Superuser and it was closed for that very reason. We are thinking of implementing a QR code which will be sent to a number of users via an email which links through to a webpage. Now I'm aware that you can just Google 'QR codes' and there are a plethora of options that allow you to make a QR code. My question is thus; if we do go with this solution can we guarantee that it would work cross platform? I.e. on Android, iOS, Symbian etc? Once a QR code is generated will it work on ANY app on ANY platform? Thanks and apologies if this is not really a 'programming question' Thanks Kiran

  • Slow Javascript touch events on Android

    - by oneself
    I'm trying to write a simple html based drawing application (standalone simplified code attached bellow). I've tested this on the following devices: iPad 1 and 2: Works great ASUS T101 running Windows: Works great Samsung Galaxy Tab: Extremely slow and patchy -- unusable. Lenovo IdeaPad K1: Extremely slow and patchy -- unusable. Asus Transformer Prime: Noticeable lag compare with the iPad -- close to usable. The Asus tablet is running ICS, the other android tablets are running 3.1 and 3.2. I tested using the stock Android browser. I also tried the Android Chrome Beta, but that was even worse. My questions is why are the Android tablets so slow? Am I doing something wrong or is it an inherit problem with Android OS or browser, or is there anything I can do about it in my code? multi.html: <html> <body> <style media="screen"> canvas { border: 1px solid #CCC; } </style> <canvas style="" id="draw" height="450" width="922"></canvas> <script class="jsbin" src="jquery.js"></script> <script src="multi.js"></script> </body> </html> multi.js: var CanvasDrawr = function(options) { // grab canvas element var canvas = document.getElementById(options.id), ctxt = canvas.getContext("2d"); canvas.style.width = '100%' canvas.width = canvas.offsetWidth; canvas.style.width = ''; // set props from options, but the defaults are for the cool kids ctxt.lineWidth = options.size || Math.ceil(Math.random() * 35); ctxt.lineCap = options.lineCap || "round"; ctxt.pX = undefined; ctxt.pY = undefined; var lines = [,,]; var offset = $(canvas).offset(); var eventCount = 0; var self = { // Bind click events init: function() { // Set pX and pY from first click canvas.addEventListener('touchstart', self.preDraw, false); canvas.addEventListener('touchmove', self.draw, false); }, preDraw: function(event) { $.each(event.touches, function(i, touch) { var id = touch.identifier; lines[id] = { x : this.pageX - offset.left, y : this.pageY - offset.top, color : 'black' }; }); event.preventDefault(); }, draw: function(event) { var e = event, hmm = {}; eventCount += 1; $.each(event.touches, function(i, touch) { var id = touch.identifier, moveX = this.pageX - offset.left - lines[id].x, moveY = this.pageY - offset.top - lines[id].y; var ret = self.move(id, moveX, moveY); lines[id].x = ret.x; lines[id].y = ret.y; }); event.preventDefault(); }, move: function(i, changeX, changeY) { ctxt.strokeStyle = lines[i].color; ctxt.beginPath(); ctxt.moveTo(lines[i].x, lines[i].y); ctxt.lineTo(lines[i].x + changeX, lines[i].y + changeY); ctxt.stroke(); ctxt.closePath(); return { x: lines[i].x + changeX, y: lines[i].y + changeY }; }, }; return self.init(); }; $(function(){ var drawr = new CanvasDrawr({ id: "draw", size: 5 }); });

  • How to get the measures of an object from far away?

    - by Luis Armando
I am working on an App that intends to give an accurate measure of any object (building, desk, chair, people, etc.) Using the camera (either phone's or laptop) but I'm unsure as to how to do this without using a lot of resources, would someone mind giving me some options? I'm looking for a lightweight one that can be quickly processed by the computer/phone to give back the measures.

  • How to get the form active control?

    - by PabloG
Is there a way to get the form active control? I was checking in the help for the "Support.GetActiveControl" method but it isn't supported :) for the Compact Framework. I suppose that I can track the focus by adding a custom GotFocus event handler to all the form controls, but I'm looking for a more generic way that can be implemented for any form.
