  • convert full-disk RAID5 array to partition-based array?

    I have a RAID 5 array, md0, with three full-disk (non-partitioned) members, sdb, sdc, and sdd. My computer will hang during the AHCI BIOS if AHCI is enabled instead of IDE, if these drives are plugged in. I believe it may be because I'm using the whole disk, and the AHCI BIOS expects an MBR to be on the drive (I don't know why it would care). Is there a way to convert the array to use members sdb1, sdc1 and sdd1, partitioned MBR with 0xFD RAID partitions?

  • CPU running at full capacity when boot to DOS?

    Does the CPU is run at 100% or near full capacity when the computer is booted into MS-DOS? Will the CPU temperature become higher even though we are not running any program in DOS mode? In Windows, we can see the CPU usage in % of utilization in Task Manager. From what I heard, CPU is running at near 100% capacity in DOS OS or in the BIOS MAIN screen. Is this caused by lack of CPU optimization in DOS OS?

  • How do I show full names of folders that contain bookmarks in the Google Chrome Bookmark Bar?

    I have Google Chrome installed on Ubuntu and I have made a number of folders of bookmarks placed within my bookmark bar. The problem is that some of the folder's names are abbreviated like "Ru---" for "Ruby". This is kind of annoying when I have more than one folder that starts with "Ru". Also, my bookmark bar is not completely full, so there is plenty of space for these names to show. Anyone know how to fix this?

  • How do I apply multiple rotation transforms on a Raphael text object?

    I have a Raphael text object that I would like to rotate around an axis some distance away and also rotate the text accordingly so it stays horizontal. I know this is possible using SVG transformation matrices, but the author of Raphael has stated that they won't be a part of the toolkit anytime soon. Here's some code of what I'd like to do: txt_obj = paper.text(100, 0, "Hello!"); txt_obj.rotate(90, 100, 100); // rotate text so it is sideways at (200,100) txt_obj.rotate(-90); // rotate text back to horizontal Unfortunately, the second rotate command obliterates the translation and rotation accomplished by the first. Ideally I'd like to animate the operation, but I'll take it one step at a time for right now.

I am trying to setup reverse proxy for IIS6 using IIRF so content is accessible via http: //bamboo. It seems that I set it ip correctly, and I can retrieve Status page.     I'm looking for something a little more sophisticated than the alt="Newsletter Heading text" attribute of <img> tag. So if the Masthead.png image doesn't load for whatever reason, I want the display text, say Font: 60px Helvetica Neue Black, Helvetica, ..., Sans Serif text-align: center to appear in the middle of the table cell that is my masthead instead of just the alt text in some small default font in top right corner. One idea I had was to use to put the image on-top of the text display but I don't know if z-depth is something I can use in email HTML(?4)?

  • Get to know what HTML-button is clicked with PHP, no Name of value available

    I have a wizard with 4 steps and in one of the steps, you can add items. By default, there are 3 time 5 empty input-fields listed. When you click a button, there have to be added some more. The 3 times 5 fields are added by a loop. How can I determine where I have to add some fields (in the first 5 field of the second or the third). I can't use another name for every button, because sometimes there can be more then 3 groups of 5 fields. In my code (PHP), I use the name of the button to know what happened in the form, so the name can't be different for the button in every group ... Further, the whole step is 1 form, so the post can't go to another script ... The value of the button has to be the same for every group. I've been thinking on possible solutions and these came up: On click a javascript adds a value to the post (in a hidden field?) But is this posted with the form? Could it be possible to get the ID of the clicked button? This might be different :-) I need a refresh after the click, so pure javascript isn't a solution either ... It is a very specific question, but I hope someone can give me some direction.   • Structs, strtok, segmentation fault

    I'm trying to make a programme with structs and files.The following is just a part of my code(it;s not all). What i'm trying to do is: ask the user to write his command. eg. delete John eg. enter John James 5000 ipad purchase. The problem is that I want to split the command in order to save its 'args' for a struct element. That's why i used strtok.     I use everywhere NSLocalizedString(@"Text in deutsch",@"das Textfeld Text in deutsch") I have two Localizable.strings files. One for german and one for english. What I realized now is. If you have a german iPhone, you get the german text, if you have your iPhone set to english you get the english text. But if you have lets say french, then you would get the german text, too because I use german as the keys, right ? Is there a way to set english as fallback language instead of the german one used everywhere in my code ? (I have so many occurences of NSLocalizedString that it would be a pain to change the keys now everywhere (in code, in Localized.string.en and in Localized.string.de))
