  • Custom Display Form with Custom Workflow button

    I have created a new custom list form that will show 4 fields on the page from a Custom List called "Shipment". I have added Form Action button that I would like to run a custom action that is set inside of a Workflow. Currently, the form displays the fields for "Manifest Number", "Pickup Location", "Delivery Location", & "Scheduled Pickup Time". When the user clicks the Form Action button, what I want the Workflow to do is go to the ID field of the displayed content in the Form and change the value of the "Picked Up" column from No to Yes. The problem I am having is passing the ID of the displayed information from the Form to the Workflow as a variable. I can get the "Picked Up" column to update if I specify the value in the "Update List Item" window under the "Find the List Item" section, but I cannot figure out how to do this dynamically from the Form

    I have several categories that I use in my Grails plugin. e.g., class Foo { static foo(ClassA a,Object someArg) { ... } static bar(ClassB b,Object... someArgs) { ... } } I'm looking for the best way to add these methods to the meta-classes so that I don't have to use the category classes and can just invoke them as instance methods. e.g., aInstance.foo(someArg) bInstance.bar(someArgs) Is there a Groovy/Grails class or method that will help me do this or am I stuck iterating through the methods and adding them all myself?

  • Filemaker - Getting field values from related table

    I have the following setup in Filemaker Pro 10. Table1 with: id_table1, related_names Table2 with: id_table2, name, include and a joint-table with: id_table1, id_table2 Now I want either make related_names a calculated field or write a script that sets related_names to a comma separated list of all names which are connected through the joint-table and have Table2.include = True. So for example a data set could look like: Table1 id_table1, related_names 1, "foo,bar" 2, "foo" 3, "" joint-table id_table1, id_table2 1,1 1,2 1,3 2,1 Table2 id_table2, name, include 1, foo, True 2, bar, True 3, baz, False After searching the internet for a few hours the closest I came was a calculated field with list(join-table::id_table2) which gives me a list with a all the id_table2's. But now I would need to find the appropriate records in table2 and check the include field. I hope the problem is clear. any help is highly appreciated.

Q: What does emitting an exception from a constructor mean? A: It means that construction has failed, the object never existed, its lifetime never began. [source] My question is: Does the same hold true for Java? What happens, for example, if I hand this to another object, and then my constructor fails?   • Hide button on first of two UIViews, but have it visible on second...

    So I have a UIViewController (main application controller is a TabBarController). On this there is a UINavigationBar, and a UIBarButtonItem. I'm PRETTY sure I hooked up everything correctly in the Interface Builder and that the outlet in the code is connected to the button in the .xib. It should be because the method works correctly. Now I have another button on this view that brings up a second view, a UIWebView. I want this UIBarButtonItem, labeled "Back", to make the UIWebView dissapear, and bring back the first UIView, which it DOES DO correctly. However, when you are on the first UIView, there is no need to see the UIBarButtonItem, so how can I hide it but then bring it up for the UIWebView. By the way, both views use the same UINavigationBar, the UIWebView is brought up inside the tab bar and the nav bar.     I am testing Java classes with RSpec and JRuby. How can I stub out a call to super in an imported Java class in my RSpec test? For example: I have 2 Java classes: public class A{ public String foo() { return "bar"; } } public class B extends A public String foo() { // B code return super.foo(); } } I am just trying to test the code in B.foo and not the code in A.foo with JRuby. How can I stub out the call to the super class method in my RSpec test? rspec test: java_import Java::B describe B do it "should not call A.foo" do # some code to stub out A.foo b = B.new b.foo.should_not == "bar" end end I have tried including a module with a new foo method in B's class hoping that it would hit the module method first but B still makes a call to A. The inserting module technique works in Ruby but not with JRuby and imported Java classes. Any other ideas to stub out the superclass method to get my RSpec test to pass?

Are there any real differences beyond compile time checking for an argument specified as intent(inout) and an argument without a specified intent? Is there anything I should worry about if I'm retrofitting intents to older, intent free, code?

  • Embedding Facebook in an IFrame

    I have an app that has an IFrame with a page flash overly allowing you to draw on webpages. When I go to Facebook with the application, an overlay pops up covering everything at 50% opacity (Which is fine). The problem is that the overlay is all black in some installations of IE7. Can anyone advise on how to get around this?   • Continual crashing in MKMapView annotationContainer:viewForAnnotation

    I've looked at other reports on this, and none seems to apply. Our app is being crippled by frequent (but not reliably reproducible) crashes like this: Reports of this turn up a lot on the Web, but many seem to go unsolved. I'm not doing anything crazy, just showing the user position and one marker on the map. I followed the examples I could find, and I've looked at the code for goofs but can't find any. Here's how my MapView delegate handles viewForAnnotation: The crash appears to be associated with a change in the user's location, but once the user-location marker is added, I don't mess with it. When I need to refresh the one other map marker, I skip the user marker when removing the other one: The delegate is the controller for the whole screen, so it's not being deallocated; the crash occurs while the screen is up. Not that it matters, but the map display looks like this: Any guesses or insight would be much appreciated! This is on iOS 5.0.1.

  • iPhone: value of selectedIndex for tab should be consistent, but isn't

    This should be so simple... but something screwy is happening. My setup looks like this: MainViewController Tab Bar Controller 4 tabs, each of which loads WebViewController My AppDelegate contains an ivar, tabBarController, which is connected to the tab bar controller (this was all set up in Interface Builder). The leftmost tab is marked "selected" in IB. Within the viewWillAppear method in WebViewController, I need to know which tab was just selected so I can load the correct URL. I do this by switching on appDelegate.tabBarController.selectedIndex. When the app first runs and the leftmost tab is selected, selectedIndex is a large garbage value. After that, I get values from 0 to 3, which is as it should be, but they are in random order. Not only that, but each tab I touch reports a different value each time. This app is extremely simple right now and I can't imagine what I could have done to make things go this wrong. Has anyone seen (and hopefully solved) this behavior? Update: we have a request for code. There's not much to see. The tab bar controller gets loaded in applicationDidFinishLaunching: [self.mainViewController view]; //force nib to load [self.window addSubview:self.mainViewController.tabBarController.view] There is currently no code whatsoever in MainViewController.m other than the synthesize and release for tabBarController.     Hi All, If, as here at work, we have test, staging and production environments, such as: http://test.my-happy-work.com http://staging.my-happy-work.com http://www.my-happy-work.com I am writing some javascript that will redirect the browser to a url such as: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com/my-happy-video I need to be able to determine the current environment that we are in. There is the possibility that I will currently be at a url such as: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com/my-happy-path/my-happy-resource I want to be able to grab the window.location but strip it of everything but: http://[environment].my-happy-work.com And then append to that string + "/" + "my-happy-video". I am not skilled with regex, but I suppose there would be a way to parse the window.location up to the ".com" Thoughts? Thanks!

    As soon as I add "from django.contrib.gis.db import models" instead of "from django.db import models", Django stops recognizing the app and gives this error: Error: App with label location could not be found. Are you sure your INSTALLED_APPS setting is correct? The error goes away as soon as I comment out "from django.contrib.gis.db import models"... I have added "django.contrib.gis" and the "location" app to the INSTALLED_APPS setting correctly. Any clues why this is happening? I am running using Django v1.1.1 final, on my windows laptop.

    I am working with Open Id, just playing around making a class to interact / auth Open Id's on my site (in PHP). I know there are a few other Libraries (like RPX), but I want to use my own (its good to keep help better understand the protocol and whether its right for me). The question I have relates to the Open Id discovery sequence. Basically I have reached the point where I am looking at using the XRDS doc to get the local identity (openid.identity) from the claimed identity (openid.claimed_id). My question is, do I have to make a cURL request to get the XRDS Location (X-XRDS-location) and then make another cURL request to get the actual XRDS doc?? It seems like with a DUMB request I only make one cURL request and get the Open Id Server, but have to make two to use the XRDS Smart method. Just doesn't seem right, can anyone else give me some info.

  • Need an ASP.NET MVC long running process with user feedback

    I've been trying to create a controller in my project for delivering what could turn out to be quite complex reports. As a result they can take a relatively long time and a progress bar would certainly help users to know that things are progressing. The report will be kicked off via an AJAX request, with the idea being that periodic JSON requests will get the status and update the progress bar. I've been experimenting with the AsyncController as that seems to be a nice way of running long processes without tying up resources, but it doesn't appear to give me any way of checking on the progress (and seems to block further JSON requests and I haven't discovered why yet). After that I've tried resorting to storing progress in a static variable on the controller and reading the status from that - but to be honest that all seems a bit hacky! All suggestions gratefully accepted!

    I am struggling to find a good tutorial or best practices document for the use of memcache in app engine. I'm pretty happy with it on the level presented in the docs. Get an object by ID, checking memcache first, but I'm unclear on things like: If you cache a query, is there an accepted method for ensuring that the cache is cleared/updated when an object stored in that query is updated. What are the effects of using ReferenceProperties ? If a cache a Foo object with a Bar reference. Is my foo.bar in memcache too and in need of clearing down if it gets updated from some other part of my application. I don't expect answers to this here (unless you are feeling particularly generous!), but pointers to things I could read would be very gratefully received.

  • Tomcat - Redirect to Error Page when ServletContextListener fails

    When Tomcat starts it calls my ServletContextListener to obtain a database connection, which I will later use in other servlets with getServletContext(). It is called in my web.xml as: listener listener-class org.ppdc.database.DBCPoolingListener /listener-class /listener (I removed the < because they wouldn't display properly in this message. If I cannot connect to the database when Tomcat starts up I get a 404 error, because Tomcat cannot start the application. How can I redirect the user to a custom error page at this point? I tried the following in my web.xml (I have the < brackets in the original): (error-page) (error-code404/error-code) (location/file_not_found.html/location) (/error-page) Any ideas on how to redirect a user to one of my error pages when Tomcat tries to start the application?     Hello, I am trying to set up a PHP path to my Zend Framework. I am very confused on how to do this. My Zend Framework is located at the following location on my server: amazon/ZendFramework-1.10.3-minimal I am going to be creating a couple of php files in the amazon/ directory that will require the Zend Framework. My include path is: include("ZendFramework-1.10.3-minimal/library/Zend/Service/Amazon.php"); This works, however inside of Amazon.php is the line require_once 'Zend/Rest/Client.php'; ...and then Client.php has more dependencies set up like that, and so on. How can I set up my include path so that Amazon.php and Client.php (and so on) can correctly reference the location of the Zend Framework? Thanks
