    Hi, In my page ASP.net page I'm using a custom control like this: <MyNamespace:MyControl runat="server" ID="myControl"> <contenttemplate> This is the text I want to use </contenttemplate> </MyNamespace:MyControl> In the c# code of the control how can I obtain a string containing the text between the <contentemplate> tag (eg. "This is the text I want to use") ? Can you give me the code? Thank you!

    Hi All, I am developing an application in which I am trying to fetch Date, Time and Time Zone from single DateTimePicker control. Can anybody help to resolve this? Thanks in advance. EditV1: I am using .net framework 2.0. Now I am able to fetch Date and Time with Single DateTimepicker by setting its CustomFormat property as; dtpicker2.CustomFormat = "MM/dd/yyyy,hh:mm:ss" Now my problem is to fetch TimeZone. EditV2: Now here is one more issue, if I set DateTimePicker's format property to Time, it shows me something like 2:30:00 PM. I am storing this in a file and reasigning it to the DateTimePicker control. Can anybody help me out, how to achieve this?

    I have about 7500 (short) text lines in a table cell. The table looses its background image on about 1800th line. Is there a limit about the table's length? Text in the cell stays visible till end, but without background. Table is named #story. #story{ margin-top:15px; border:medium ridge #FFF; border-radius:9px; background-image:url(img/back01.jpg); } Also tried: background: url("img/back01.jpg") repeat; // without result background-color:#FFF; // this works along the whole table. }

    I'm testing a simple User Control in Visual Studio 2008: A Panel named Wrapper with some controls inside. Can Visual Studio handle this at design time? public partial class TestControl : System.Web.UI.UserControl { [Description("Css class of the div around the control.")] [CssClassProperty] public string CssClass { get { return Wrapper.CssClass; } set { Wrapper.CssClass = value; } } } When setting the CssClass property, it doesn't update the css of the Panel at design time. Am I hoping for too much?

  • Android SDK: Create image on touch

    Hello, I'm a bit stumped here, I'm trying to make it so an image (already in the drawable folder) gets created everytime you touch the screen and removed when the finger is lifted. I have the touch part coded already, overriding the onTouch method with a couple switch cases that handle each type of action (down, up, move, etc). But I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the image appear and then disappear with the coordinates (matrix?) of where the finger is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I've recently enabled CLR on my 64 bit SQL Server 2005 machine for usage of about 3 procs. When I run the following query to gather some info on memory usage... select single_pages_kb+ multi_pages_kb + virtual_memory_committed_kb as TotalMemoryUsage, virtual_memory_reserved_kb from sys.dm_os_memory_clerks where type = 'MEMORYCLERK_SQLCLR' I get 129 mb MemoryUsage and 6.3 gb Virtual Memory Reserved The total memory of the machine is 21 gig. What does reserved virtual memory mean exactly and how can I control the size that is allocated? 6 gig is overkill for what we're doing and the memory would be much better utilized by the sproc cache. I'm concerned this reserved memory will cause swapping to the page file. Please help me take back control of the memory! Thanks

    I'm very new to Version Control, and I was wondering if I could get some advice on how it can fit into website design. At the moment I'm working on a typical, simple website that includes images: A few .html files and a .css file One folder full of photographs Another folder with the corresponding thumbnails Can I just put the whole lot in a repository? Or is there a better way I could apply Version Control to it? How should I deal with the images? edit: How well will it work with changes to the images? What if I decide to try and optimise my photographs or resize them. I wont be able to see what exactly changed about the images, should comments be enough to keep track of that?

  • Asp.net control inside of fancybox modal is not "working"

    Your typical "It doesn't work" freak out going on over here. Any direction would help. I have a login control on my master page and I'm trying to only display it using jquery fancybox and then redirect the user once they are logged in. But any buttons or controls that should do "something" when pressed when I put inside the fancy box are not responding. If I keep the div visible and then use the control not using fancybox I get the expected result. What are my options?

    I have a form that contains this single input field, which is nothing more than a button to Print the current web page: <div align="center"> <input type="image" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> After the printing, the page re-submits itself (to itself). Why does it do this and can I stop it? If I just change the type to "input", this code does not re-submit itself after printing: <div align="center"> <input type="input" src="../Images/print.jpg" value="Print" onclick="printpage();" /></div> </div> Unfortunately, our style conventions require me to use that button image rather than the standard input button.

In Vista, Window7 main.bmp is showing just fine. Also in English XP its ok. But why the image is not showing fully in non-English XP? How would I use .ico file here instead of .bmp? This is to make the image transparent.

    I have a image map set up and each area in the image map has a href defined. the href on area contains urls to other pages in my application. i generate a have a small ul which lists down name attribute of the area tag. i want the dynamically generated ul/lis to imitate click behaviour of area tag. for this, i have the following jquery set up - $('li').click(function(e){ $('area[name='+$(this).html()+']').trigger('click'); }); but the above works well only in ie6+. ff does not fire the click event. i also tried the click() variant but to no avail. looking forward for some help.   • C#.NET : A graphical control makes my app freeze after workstation unlock

    Hi, I have a graphical control that is multithreaded. Until now it worked fine, but I just noticed that whenever I'm on my application showing this control the following happens: if I lock and unlock my workstation, it freezes, like if it were in some kind of infinite loop. Even stranger, this bug occurs only when I'm not lauching the app from Visual Studio, and not attached to it. Does anyone have a clue on what's happening? For instance, if I attach Visual Studio to the already freezed app, can I see which lines of code my threads are executing ? Any help will be appreciated!

  • Setting id to a panel control in gridview

    I have a panel control in gridview's template. I need to hide/unhide panel in javascript function, for that i need to pass panel's id to the javascript. The problem is that all panels have the same id in gridview, so I need to set unique id to each panel. I tried to do: <asp:Panel id= "Panel_<%# Eval("ID")%>" and some other variations but always get an error. The panel contains some other controls, I need it to be server side because I need to set at code-behind (after checking if user is authenticated) What can I do? p.s. It doesn't have to be Panel, any other control that I can find with Findcontrol and can hold other controls.

The square has to be a colour (specified dynamically) and contains a number as text inside it. I have looked at the CGContextRef documentation, but can't seem to work out how to get the image to fill with a specified certain colour.     Hi, I have this user control: <user:RatingStars runat="server" product="<%= getProductId() %>" category="<%= getCategoryId() %>"></user:RatingStars> You see that i fill the product and category by calling two methods: public string getProductId() { return productId.ToString(); } public string getCategoryId() { return categoryId.ToString(); } I do not understand why, in the user control, when i take the data received (product and category) it gives me "<%= getProductId() %" instead of giving the id received from that method... Any help would be kindly appreciated...

  • Creating Thumbnails with CFImage Aborting Because of Server Load?

    I am uploading in image via a form and I want to, in addition to saving the image, save a variety of thumbnails in both png and jpg format. To do this I am using the code below. The initial image uploads fine but then, after spinning for a moment I get an error of: "Request aborted due to heavy system load." (from my host crystaltech), and none of the thumbnails have made it through. I've tried it with even just one resize (and no converts) and it still fails. What am I doing wrong?
