  • adding jpanel into a jframe. netbeans

    i am particularly using netbeans gui editor and i am new to gui i have a jframe created and I added jtabbedpanel. inside the jtabbedpanel i have 2 panels that i call standard and compact i have set standardPanel = new ImagePanel(); which ImagePanel.java is located on different java file how am I suppose to put a panel on different file for reusability ? i obviously dont want all the codes in a single file. is this the right way to design a gui ? thanks

  • Most effective way to draw 4 lines on a screen?

    basic question, but I'm unsure: I want to draw 4 short lines 1px lines on a view. What is the best way to approach this task? Options:- Load an image of the line, can create 4 UIImageViews with it. Create my own subclass of a UIView that draws a line in the draw rect method. Draw elsewhere on another view, another UIImageView that has an UIImage inside it (is this possible?) Another way? Thanks Ross

  • Listings in Latex with UTF-8 (or at least german umlauts)

    Trying to include a source-file into my latex document using the listings package, i got problems with german umlauts inside of the comments in the code. Using \lstset{ extendedchars=\true, inputencoding=utf8x } Umlauts in the source files (encoded in UTF-8 without BOM) are processed, but they are somehow moved to the beginning of the word they are contained in. So // die Größe muss berücksichtigt werden in the input source file, becomes // die ößGre muss übercksichtigt werden in the output file.   • jQuery slider not visible after container div is toggled

    I have a page which contains a jQuery-UI horizontal slider, created using a little function, inside a div which can be displayed / hidden by clicking on it's title, using $.toggle(). Problem is, once the div is hidden, when it is expanded the slider is gone. A simplified demo of the problem can be seen here: http://arr.gr/jquery-issue.html (file contains all relevant source code) - when clicking the "Advanced Options" title to hide and then show the div, the slider is no longer there. Any suggestions on how to work around this?

  • doubleton pattern in C++

    I am aware of the singleton pattern in C++. but what is the logic to get two instances of the object? is there any such pattern where we could easily get 2 pattern. for the logic i could think of is that i can change the singleton pattern itself to have two objects created inside the class.this works. but if the requirement grows like if i need only 3 or only 4 what is the deswign pattern that i could think of to qualify such requirement?

    I'm using jQuery tools for an overlay. Inside the overlay I have an HTML5 video. However, when I close the overlay, the video keeps playing. Any idea how I might get the video to stop when I close the overlay? Here's the code I have: $("img[rel]").overlay({ onClose: function() { //stop the video somehow }, mask: { color: '#000', opacity: 0.7 }}); I tried using $('video').pause(); But this paused the overlay as well.

    I'm building a form validation script for one of my sites, and I thought I'd make the error messages international, meaning that depending on the users language I'd give such or such response. What would the best approach be, for loading a configuration file inside of my class? Right now I'm using the following structure for a single language: const config = { 'errorName' : 'error message', 'errorName2' : 'error message', 'errorName2' : 'error message' } And calling it like this of course: config['errorName']. But I don't know how to load those variables from a file, let's say 'lang/en.js'

In the workspace root, there is a .settings folder with many files and subfolders, and inside the project folder there are two files - .classpath and .project, and another .settings folder with a single file - org.eclipse.jdt.core.prefs.
