I have the following class
public class MyClass {
private int myAttr;
public void setAttr(int a) {
myAttr = a;
Thread.dumpStack();
}
}
That way I can detect any attempt to modify myAttr. Well, almost any. It does not work when someone modifies myAttr using Field.set() method. How can I trap Java reflection usage?
Dear all,
first thing to note is the serialVersionUID of a class implementing Interface Serializable
is not in question. What if we create a class that for example extends HttpServlet? It also should have a serialVersionUID. If someone knows that this object will never be serialized should he define it or add an annotation to suppress those warnings?
What would you do and why?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I have a Java applet, which is a form that draw shapes into it (Rect, Oval, Line).
Each shape is represented by 2 points and can draw itself to the form.
When the JApplet form resizes, I need to resize the shapes also while keeping the aspect ratio.
I didn't find an high quality solution for doing this that solves this problem.
Tried to write a solution from this, but it came up as lousy when tested, Can someone publish an example code for doing that please?
I have a msi with a public property CUSTOMERID. This is the base MSI. When customer logs in to download the MSI, downloaded MSI should have the CUSROMERID set based on the login. Basically I want to create a custom MSI with public property set from a base MSI so that the customer can redistribute it to his users.
Can someone help with this.
Given this HTML:
<div class="OpenIDSelector">some text</div>
Why does this JQuery selector match it on some browsers and some pages, but not on others?
$('.OpenIdSelector)
NOTE: I ran into this problem and solved it myself, but it was annoying and I didn't find it on StackOverflow already, so I'm posting it as a Q&A pair so someone else won't waste an hour like I did.
Hello,
Consider the URL www.something.com/HereWeGo. When someone enters the url, the site shows a 404 error since the directory does not exists. I can parse the URL to get the query and HereWeGo, but cannot stop it from going to a 404 error.
How can I achieve it by PHP, if it is possible to avoid .htaccess now
Thanks
Jean
In interview someone ask me @ Abstract class. I told him @ abstract class and i also told that we can not create object of this class. his next question is why? because it may or may not include abstract methods.
Hi, I am designing a wordpress template, and I would like to use jQuery ui to display each of the calendar links in a dialog box, when they are clicked.
What I want, is when someone clicks on a link in the wordpress calendar, the content will load in the dialog box, and display over the calendar.
I would appreciate any help on this, thanx in advance!

There are a lot of good interview questions (even "puzzles") for software developers here on SO, but I was wondering if anyone had some good questions for a front-end developer position. We're looking for someone who knows HTML+CSS+JS.
Some of the obvious questions:
Have you worked with javascript libraries (which?)
Are you following the development of HTML5 and CSS3
Do you know any good "puzzles" for a front-end developer? Maybe a JS fizz-buzz?
I am not quite clear as to why or when to use Interfaces. Can someone post a complete, simple and small example of an Interface using VB.NET in a Console Application. How is it extensible?
I'm attempting to create an NSArray with a grouping of string literals, however I get the compile error "Initializer element is not constant".
NSArray *currencies = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:@"Dollar", @"Euro", @"Pound", nil];
Could someone point out what I'm doing wrong, and possibly explain the error message?
I'm having a problem trying to wrap my head around how to query the database to retrieve the foreign keys in my Nav table and then using those to find the id's in the NavItem table. Can someone point me in the right direction or give me some pointers? i'm not even sure if this should be done in the model or the controller!
Thanks in advance
Hi there I'm use to SQL, but I need to read data from a HBase table. Any help on this would be great. A book or maybe just some sample code to read from the table. Someone said using a scanner would do the trick, but I do not know how to use it.
I'm interested in learning about what additional features and APIs an app has access to when an iPhone is jailbroken. Can someone provide me with some basic resources to learn about this? I would be most interested in:
documentation on the private APIs
filesystem layout
app configuration, e.g. how did WinterBoard replace SpringBoard? Apps that replace the lockscreen?
tools needed
Suggestions appreciated.
Hi
IF someone has to develop the same application for Android and iPhone, is it more difficult to develop in one platform than on the other? Does it take more time?
Lets think about the average app. Lists, text , buttons, fetch information from the internet.
Thanks
From what I gather, there are two major methods to perform alignment on point clouds, Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and Particle Filtering. What are the advantages of each method? And can someone point me some good tutorials.
For what I am currently doing, I think ICP would be easier, I can't seem to find any simple reference implementations online for 2d point sets. Has anyone seen (psuedo)code for ICP with details on the transformation step?
Thanks in advance.
I have a select form. After a user selects option A, B, or C I need to use Ajax to load another form based on the users decision.
I'm not asking for someone to program this for me. I am just wondering, does anyone know of any good resources to help me accomplish this?
Thanks for your time.
Hi all, I'm trying to write a bit of jquery which finds all h2 tags inside a div (.content), then appends each one into another div (.intro).
So far I have this:
var h2 = $(".content").find("h2");
$(h2).each(function() {
$(this).append(".intro");
});
But it's not working.. if someone could help me out, that'd be great :)

Hi,
I understand that it's not a programming question, but still maybe someone here knows how comes that www.ipage.com is offering $115.00 to affiliates for every new customer ( that would buy, say, a $36 hosting plan ) ? Where's the catch?
