  • double left MYSQL join?

    I've been trying left joins but as there are 2 joins, i think the problem is the 2nd join roots from table_B not table_A. i am not getting any results where there is the required data in the db.     I am searching in resumes weather the word is exist or not i am using the below query Case1: select top(10) c_resume_text from sntbl_candidates where contains(c_resume_text,'"a/dm"') in the above example only it is not working properly .It showing resumes even though there is no text like that. In Messages i am getting the following message. Informational: The full-text search condition contained noise word(s). if i try with Case 2: select top(10) c_resume_text from sntbl_candidates where contains(c_resume_text,'"a/d') i am getting proper results in case 2 can any one suggest me what to do.     EDIT: I'm going to put my code in here due to comments below. So sit tight for a few minutes ;-) Thanks! I'm an inexperienced php programmer and only found out about PDO a few days ago. I'm now trying to port my website code over to using PDO, but I am getting an error when I try to use the PDO object that I create. I'm using a CMS on my website, and it makes building page output kind of complicated, but I've tried to draw the structure of what is being called below: index.php -class myClass defined --method myFunction defined (it gets called on pageload & returns the page output) ---include file1.php ----require_once('mysql_connect.php') (creates pdo object) ----*I can use the pdo object here successfully* ----require_once('file2.php') -----require_once('mysql_connect.php') -----function myFunction2 defined ------*trying to use the pdo object here results in the error* The error I'm getting is: Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object in /home/rgcpanel/public_html/account/account_functions.php on line 147 Any idea what's going on?

  • Addressing "Access Denied" Exception with WMI Calls

    I'm getting an exception with a message of "Access Denied" when executing against a WMI request. Some WMI requests appear to require higher security privileges than others. Ultimately my goal is to monitor process launches within the system and log. Regardless if there is a better approach, its now become a vendetta in getting this WMI approach to work. I've attempted the code at Security Tools - WMI Programming Using C#.Net and still receive the exception. If you copy the code found in the blog entry you can reproduce my issue. Another post on a similar topic can be found at link text but again, try the code and you'll the see the same security exception. How do I permit my code to execute these WMI requests? I'm running on Windows 7 Pro and VS 2010 in a new C# command line project.

  • Permission denied - /tmp/.ruby_inline/Inline_ImageScience_cdab.c

    I have a Ruby on Rails app that I've recently deployed to a remote server (Ubuntu 9.10, nginx, passenger, ruby-enterprise) and I'm getting the error (works fine locally): Permission denied - /var/www/project_name/tmp/.ruby_inline/Inline_ImageScience_cdab.c First, the folder /tmp/.ruby_inline/ is empty - should it be? Is it trying to create Inline_ImageScience_cdab.c or read it? I think I have all the required gems installed: 'gem list' shows image_science and RubyInline installed. libfreeimage3 and libfreeimage-dev are also installed. I've run chmod 755 on /tmp/.ruby_inline/ to match the permissions on surrounding folders but I cannot go any higher than that, however, or I get another error: /var/www/project_name/tmp/.ruby_inline is insecure (40777). It may not be group or world writable. Exiting. And I guess second, why am I getting this error? :) Thanks

  • Xcode / Interface Builder - better workflow from designer to coder?

    Were dealing with some pretty custom UI elements while building our OSX / Cocoa and iPhone / IPad apps. I was wondering if anyone has good recommendations or tricks for getting a better workflow between UI designers and coders while using Xcode / Interface Builder? It seems that many things require programmatic settings with UI editing in Cocoa... if you stray from the pre-built UI elements then you can't really easily drag-drop build a UI... instead we end up handing off a design doc ( photoshop/illustrator ) and then the poor developer has to deal with recreating this masterpiece in code or by using interface builder - usually a combination of both. This work flow is leading us to not so great results and we have to re-iterate around the UI elements to get them to work better. We love CSS and / or Flash designer to developer workflow where the UI could look exactly as it should and the hand off to developer was more seamless. Is there anyone out there who has some tricks - or insights into getting better workflow when using tools like Xcode / Interface Builder and doing Cocoa apps?

  • LogCat acting patchy

    The LogCat output in eclipse suddenly started weird. It sometimes shows all the output as expected. Other times it just doesn't show anything - is completely blank. After some internet research, I thought Mylyn plugin might be responsible. So I tried de-selecting "Mylyn Tasks UI" & "Mylyn Team UI" on eclipse Window -- Preferences -- General -- Startup and Shutdown -- programs that are started at startup. No Luck. Has anyone else encountered & solved this problem?

    hello. im working on a online game. i got some problems with inserting new data to table. im getting 2010-4-8 2:14, *** 37000, 513, [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]A column insert or update conflicts with a rule imposed by a previous CREATE RULE statement. The statement was terminated. The conflict occurred in database 'KN_online', table 'ACCOUNT_CHAR', column 'strAccountID'., 261 NationSelect*** this error in logs. what does this means? how can i fix this? i've tried to delete RULE for my DB but I'm unable to delete RULE. im getting the rule 'dbo.unallowedchars' cannot be dropped because it is bounded to one or more clumn. I set all permissions right but its still not working.. thanks..

  • Android Market Publishing Issues

    I have an app which I have just updated to froyo to take advantage of the move to SD card feature. I am now trying to upload the update to the market but I keep getting the following error: "The file is invalid: W/ResourceType( 7193): Bad string block: last string is not 0- terminated ERROR getting 'android:label' attribute: attribute is not a string value". I changed the value in the manifest from "android:label="@string/app_name" " to "android:label="test" " and uploaded it, then it started complaining about the icon, saying that it wasn't a string. Anyone have any ideas? The application part of my manifest is shown below and I'm properly confused. The app compiles into an APK, it even installs and runs fine on my N1 (installing from SD card) it just won't upload to the market. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have absolutely no idea what's wrong, seems like I've tried everything I can think of including re-installing eclipse. Cheers Steve

  • Best build dir location to use in Xcode

    I'm consolidating my Xcode/TextMate setup and is interested in where you put your build dir. Some years ago I started out having the build dir in the same dir as my xcodeproj file. However it became a mess when my project became a multi project with a applications and frameworks and tests, so I started using ../build as the build dir, so that all the sub projects used the same dir. However Spotlight is indexing this build dir and TextMate's global find is unusable when there is a build dir in the project. I'm thinking either using ~/.build or /build as Xcode's build dir. What build dir do you use and why?

    Since someone here is a bit hot-headed and deleted my last question ill post a new one with a title to better please his ego...Hows this Michael? Anyways, im getting this error when i compile: Undefined symbols: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SortedItems", referenced from: __objc_classrefs__DATA@0 in SortedByNameTableDataSource.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Basically i followed apples "TheElements" sample app to create the singleton, tableview datasource and just changed some stuff around to suit my needs - ive triple checked all my code and cannot figure out why im getting this.. If anyone can help please do, it would be much appreciated. if more of my code is needed ill post.. let me know

    I have been loading an assembly via Assembly.LoadFrom(@"path"); and then doing Type t = asm.GetType("Test.Test"); test = Activator.CreateInstance(t, new Object[] { ... }); and it was working fine, but now I moved the dll I am getting the following System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. --- System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissons.SecurityPermission, etc .. For the sake of brevity it seems the demand was for an PermissionSet that allowed ControlAppDomain and it's not getting it. My question is how can I create this permissionset and pass it to the instance or assembly? I've been googling for hours to no avail.

    I am getting a conversion error every time I try to submit a date value to sql server. The column in sql server is a datetime and in vb I'm using Date.today to pass to my parameterized query.     Hi, I'm pretty new to C++ and have run into a problem which I have not been able to solve. I'm trying to convert a System::String to a wchar_t pointer that I can keep for longer than the scope of the function. Once I'm finished with it, I want to clean it up properly.   • Should I really be expected to work more than 40 hours a week just because I am 'salaried developer'

    My boss says that I shouldn't be counting hours, but I am only getting paid for a full time job 40 hours per week. I don't get it. I could be using the rest of the hours in my day to run a small side business and get more income. However I have noticed other people just working and working whatever hours to hit the deadline. How is this fair? Of course the argument was 'if you worked more and increased your value then you will get more money'. A friend I regard as one of the smartest people I know (engineered his own sonar system for example) said that you should never work beyond what you are getting paid for. Thoughts?
