  • can't get jquery livequery to with an update panel

    - by Jeremy
    I have some basic html inside an asp.net update panel. Using livequery, I set up autocomplete, blur and keydown events so that they all continue to be wired up after the update panel does a partial page load. When the page initially loads, all the events work fine but after the update panel does a partial page reload, none of the events wired up with livequery continue to work. Are there known issues with livequery and update panels? Html: <asp:UpdatePanel ID="upData" runat="server" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <ContentTemplate> <asp:DataList ID="dlData" runat="server" DataSource='<%# this.Data %>' DataKeyField="ID"> <ItemTemplate> <table> <tr> <th class="required">Location</th> <td><asp:TextBox ID="txtFromLocation" MaxLength="10" CssClass="searchlocation fromlocation required" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("FromLocation")%>'/><asp:RequiredFieldValidator ID="rvalFromLocation" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtFromLocation" ValidationGroup="leg">*</asp:RequiredFieldValidator></td> </tr> </table> </ItemTemplate> </asp:DataList> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> And then I have my javascript. Normally it has a bunch of other code, but I can reduce it down to this and still have the problem: $(document).ready(function() { $(".searchlocation").livequery(function() { $(this).keydown(function(event) {alert('test');}); }); });

  • able to get the events in fullcalender, but not able to sync these events with time

    - by Ubaid
    i just loved the fullcalendar and wanted to implement it in a small application, everythin worked OK. i am able to get the events from my database through json to the front end. but all events are being listed as "ALL-DAY" events itself. not able to figure out why.. here is the screenshot for the same. any ideas what is going wrong..? i am using asp.net and c#. i have already tried sending the start and end dates in the ToString(), ToShortDateString(), ToString("s"), ToLongDateString(), ToUniversalTime(). nothing seems to working for me at the moment. i tried hard coding and sendin the data too. sample json of my data [{ "id": "2", "title": "Event2", "start": "1274171700", "end": "1274175600" }, { "id": "1", "title": "Event1", "start": "5/18/2010 16:30:00", "end": "5/18/2010 19:30:00" }, { "id": "3", "title": "Event3", "start": "5/18/2010 2:05:00 PM", "end": "5/18/2010 3:10:00 PM" }, { "id": "4", "title": "Event4", "start": "5/18/2010", "end": "5/18/2010" }, { "id": "5", "title": "Event5", "start": "2010-05-18T14:05:00", "end": "2010-05-18T15:10:00" }] all data above has different formats of dates, and at the moment nothing seems to be working. fullcalender accepts the day part fine, but not the time part. not sure why. can anybody help?

  • ListView item won't extend width to fill_parent

    - by slybloty
    I have a custom ViewGroup that inflates a ListView from an xml layout. The list item layout is inflated from another xml file. All of the views are set to fill_parent. The ListView fills its parent, but the ListView items don't. I've tried putting the ListView in a LinearLayout and assigning weight to it. Tried RelativeLayout as well. Also, I've built the ListView programmaticaly, without using the xml layout. Even changed the LayoutParams before adding the view to the ViewGroup. I've also taken in consideration these posts as well: Width of clickable area in ListView w/ onListItemClick, In Android, how can I set a ListView item's height and width?, Android Listview width prob. Any ideas to why the items don't extend to fill width? And how to extend them? MyViewGroup class: public class MyViewGroup extends ViewGroup { public MyViewGroup(Context context, AttributeSet attrs) { super(context, attrs); generateMyViewGroup(); } private void generateMyViewGroup() { ListView main = (ListView) View.inflate(getContext(), R.layout.layout_main, null); main.setAdapter(new MyAdapter(getContext())); this.addView(main); } @Override protected void onLayout(boolean changed, int l, int t, int r, int b) { this.getChildAt(0).layout(l, t, r, b); } } ListView xml layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ListView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@android:id/list" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginRight="3dp" android:background="#77000000" android:cacheColorHint="#00000000" android:divider="#00000000" android:dividerHeight="0dp" android:drawSelectorOnTop="false" android:scrollbars="vertical" > </ListView> ListView item layout: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/layout_main_category" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:background="@color/mainBackground" android:gravity="fill_horizontal|center_vertical" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/main_category" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginLeft="8dp" android:layout_marginRight="8dp" android:paddingBottom="7dp" android:paddingLeft="20dp" android:paddingRight="5dp" android:paddingTop="20dp" android:text="test" android:textColor="@color/mainCategory" android:textSize="15sp" android:textStyle="bold" /> </LinearLayout>

  • Storage model for various user setting and attributes in database?

    - by dvd
    I'm currently trying to upgrade a user management system for one web application. This web application is used to provide remote access to various networking equipment for educational purposes. All equipment is assigned to various pods, which users can book for periods of time. The current system is very simple - just 2 user types: administrators and students. All their security and other attributes are mostly hardcoded. I want to change this to something like the following model: user <-- (1..n)profile <--- (1..n) attributes. I.e. user can be assigned several profiles and each profile can have multiple attributes. At runtime all profiles and attributes are merged into single active profile. Some examples of attributes i'm planning to implement: EXPIRATION_DATE - single value, value type: date, specifies when user account will expire; ACCESS_POD - single value, value type: ref to object of Pod class, specifies which pod the user is allowed to book, user profile can have multiple such attributes with different values; TIME_QUOTA - single value, value type: integer, specifies maximum length of time for which student can reserve equipment. CREDIT_CHARGING - multi valued, specifies how much credits will be assigned to user over period of time. (Reservation of devices will cost credits, which will regenerate over time); Security permissions and user preferences can end up as profile or user attributes too: i.e CAN_CREATE_USERS, CAN_POST_NEWS, CAN_EDIT_DEVICES, FONT_SIZE, etc.. This way i could have, for example: students of course A will have profiles STUDENT (with basic attributes) and PROFILE A (wich grants acces to pod A). Students of course B will have profiles: STUDENT, PROFILE B(wich grants to pod B and have increased time quotas). I'm using Spring and Hibernate frameworks for this application and MySQL for database. For this web application i would like to stay within boundaries of these tools. The problem is, that i can't figure out how to best represent all these attributes in database. I also want to create some kind of unified way of retrieveing these attributes and their values. Here is the model i've come up with. Base classes. public abstract class Attribute{ private Long id; Attribute() {} abstract public String getName(); public Long getId() {return id; } void setId(Long id) {this.id = id;} } public abstract class SimpleAttribute extends Attribute{ public abstract Serializable getValue(); abstract void setValue(Serializable s); @Override public boolean equals(Object obj) { ... } @Override public int hashCode() { ... } } Simple attributes can have only one value of any type (including object and enum). Here are more specific attributes: public abstract class IntAttribute extends SimpleAttribute { private Integer value; public Integer getValue() { return value; } void setValue(Integer value) { this.value = value;} void setValue(Serializable s) { setValue((Integer)s); } } public class MaxOrdersAttribute extends IntAttribute { public String getName() { return "Maximum outstanding orders"; } } public final class CreditRateAttribute extends IntAttribute { public String getName() { return "Credit Regeneration Rate"; } } All attributes stored stored using Hibenate variant "table per class hierarchy". Mapping: <class name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.Attribute" table="ATTRIBUTES" abstract="true" > <id name="id" column="id"> <generator class="increment" /> </id> <discriminator column="attributeType" type="string"/> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.SimpleAttribute" abstract="true"> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.IntAttribute" abstract="true" > <property name="value" column="intVal" type="integer"/> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.CreditRateAttribute" discriminator-value="CreditRate" /> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.MaxOrdersAttribute" discriminator-value="MaxOrders" /> </subclass> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.DateAttribute" abstract="true" > <property name="value" column="dateVal" type="timestamp"/> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.ExpirationDateAttribute" discriminator-value="ExpirationDate" /> </subclass> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.PodAttribute" abstract="true" > <many-to-one name="value" column="podVal" class="ru.mirea.rea.model.pods.Pod"/> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.PodAccessAttribute" discriminator-value="PodAccess" lazy="false"/> </subclass> <subclass name="ru.mirea.rea.model.abac.SecurityPermissionAttribute" discriminator-value="SecurityPermission" lazy="false"> <property name="value" column="spVal" type="ru.mirea.rea.db.hibernate.customTypes.SecurityPermissionType"/> </subclass> </subclass> </class> SecurityPermissionAttribute uses enumeration of various permissions as it's value. Several types of attributes imlement GrantedAuthority interface and can be used with Spring Security for authentication and authorization. Attributes can be created like this: public final class AttributeManager { public <T extends SimpleAttribute> T createSimpleAttribute(Class<T> c, Serializable value) { Session session = HibernateUtil.getCurrentSession(); T att = null; ... att = c.newInstance(); att.setValue(value); session.save(att); session.flush(); ... return att; } public <T extends SimpleAttribute> List<T> findSimpleAttributes(Class<T> c) { List<T> result = new ArrayList<T>(); Session session = HibernateUtil.getCurrentSession(); List<T> temp = session.createCriteria(c).list(); result.addAll(temp); return result; } } And retrieved through User Profiles to which they are assigned. I do not expect that there would be very large amount of rows in the ATTRIBUTES table, but are there any serious drawbacks of such design?

  • How to handle EntityExistsException properly?

    - by Ivan Yatskevich
    I have two entities: Question and FavoritesCounter. FavoritesCounter should be created when the question is added to favorites for the first time. Consider a use case when two users tries to add a question to favorites simultaneously - this will cause EntityExistsException when entityManager.persist(counter) is called for the second user. But the code below doesn't work, because when EntityExistsException is thrown, container marks transaction as rollback only and attempt to return getFavoritesCounter(question) fails with javax.resource.ResourceException: Transaction is not active @Stateless public class FavoritesServiceBean implements FavoritesService { ... public void addToFavorites(Question question) { FavoritesCounter counter = getCounter(question); if (counter == null) { counter = createCounter(question); } //increase counter } private FavoritesCounter createCounter(Question question) { try { FavoritesCounter counter = new FavoritesCounter(); counter.setQuestion(question); entityManager.persist(counter); entityManager.flush(); return counter; } catch (EntityExistsException e) { return getFavoritesCounter(question); } } private FavoritesCounter getFavoritesCounter(Question question) { Query counterQuery = entityManager.createQery("SELECT counter FROM FavoritesCounter counter WHERE counter.question = :question"); counterQuery.setParameter("question", question); List<FavoritesCounter> result = counterQuery.getResultList(); if (result.isEmpty()) return null; return result.get(0); } } Question @Entity public class Question implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private Long id; //getter and setter for id } FavoritesCounter @Entity public class FavoritesCounter implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) private Long id; @OneToOne @Column(unique = true) private Question question; //getter and setter } What is the best way to handle such a situation - return already created entity after EntityExistsException?

  • Does subTable support reRender?

    - by Tom
    Here is a minimal rich:dataTable with an a4j:commandLink inside. When clicked it sends an AJAX request to my bean and reRenders the dataTable. <rich:dataTable id="dataTable" value="#{carManager.all}" var="item"> <rich:column> <f:facet name="header">name</f:facet> <h:outputText value="#{item.name}" /> </rich:column> <rich:column> <f:facet name="header">action</f:facet> <a4j:commandLink reRender="dataTable" value="Delete" action="#{carForm.delete}"> <f:setPropertyActionListener value="#{item.id}" target="#{carForm.id}" /> <f:param name="from" value="list" /> </a4j:commandLink> </rich:column> </rich:dataTable> The exmaple obove works fine so far. But when I add a rich:subTable to the table, reRendering fails... <rich:dataTable id="dataTable" value="#{garageManager.all}" var="garage"> <f:facet name="header"> <rich:columnGroup> <rich:column>name</rich:column> <rich:column>action</rich:column> </rich:columnGroup> </f:facet> <rich:column colspan="2"> <h:outputText value="#{garage.name}" /> </rich:column> <rich:subTable value="#{garage.cars}" var="car"> <rich:column><h:ouputText value="#{car.name}" /></rich:column> <rich:column> <a4j:commandLink reRender="dataTable" value="Delete" action="#{carForm.delete}"> <f:setPropertyActionListener value="#{item.id}" target="#{carForm.id}" /> <f:param name="from" value="list" /> </a4j:commandLink> </rich:column> </rich:column> </rich:dataTable> Now the rich:dataTable is not rerendered but the item gets deleted since the item does not show up after a complete page refresh. Does subTable support reRender the way i'd like to use it here? Tanks Tom

  • jQuery Ajax (beforeSend and complete) working properly on FireFox but not on IE8 and Chrome

    - by Farhan Zia
    I am using jQuery ajax version 1.4.1 in my MVC application (though the issue I am discussing was same with the old jQuery version 3.2.1) as well, to check during customer registration if the username is already registered. As the user clicks on the "Check Availibility" button, I am showing a busy image in place of the check button (actually hiding the check button and showing the image) while checking the availibility on the server and then displaying a message. It is a Sync call (async: false) and I used beforeSend: and complete: to show and hide the busy image and the check button. This thing is working well on Firefox but in IE 8 and Chrome, neither the busy image appear nor the check button hides rather the check button remained pressed as the whole thing has hanged. The available and not available messages appear correctly though. Below is the code: HTML in a User Control (ascx): (i have replaced the angular braces with square below) [div id="available"]This Username is Available [div id="not_available"]This Username is not available [input id="txtUsername" name="txtUsername" type="text" size="50" /]  [button id="check" name="check" type="button"]Check Availability[/button] [img id="busy" src="/Content/Images/busy.gif" /] On the top of this user control, I am linking an external javascript file that has the following code: $(document).ready(function() { $('img#busy').hide(); $('div#available').hide(); $('div#not_available').hide(); $("button#check").click(function() { var available = checkUsername($("input#txtUsername").val()); if (available == "1") { $("div#available").show(); $("div#not_available").hide(); } else { $("div#available").hide(); $("div#not_available").show(); } }); }); function checkUsername(username) { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "/SomeController/SomeAction", data: { "id": username }, timeout: 3000, async: false, beforeSend: function() { $("button#check").hide(); $("img#busy").show(); }, complete: function() { $("button#check").show(); $("img#busy").hide(); }, cache: false, success: function(result) { return result; }, error: function(error) { $("img#busy").hide(); $("button#check").show(); alert("Some problems have occured. Please try again later: " + error); } }); }

  • Javassist annoations problem

    - by Ali
    I'm trying to generate my Entity class using javassist. Everything went well until I added the GeneratedValue annotation to the Id field. The @Id annotation works fine but when I add @GeneeratedValue I get an exception. This is my code: ClassPool cp = ClassPool.getDefault(); CtClass ctClass = cp.makeClass("test.Snake"); ClassFile classFile = ctClass.getClassFile(); classFile.setVersionToJava5(); AnnotationsAttribute attribute = new AnnotationsAttribute(classFile.getConstPool(), AnnotationsAttribute.visibleTag); Annotation idAnnotation = new Annotation(classFile.getConstPool(), ClassPool.getDefault().get("javax.persistence.Id")); attribute.addAnnotation(idAnnotation); Annotation gvAnnotation = new Annotation(classFile.getConstPool(), ClassPool.getDefault().get("javax.persistence.GeneratedValue")); attribute.addAnnotation(gvAnnotation); CtField idField = new CtField(ClassPool.getDefault().get("java.lang.Long"), "id", ctClass); idField.getFieldInfo().addAttribute(attribute); ctClass.addField(idField); CtField nameField = new CtField(ClassPool.getDefault().get("java.lang.String"), "name", ctClass); ctClass.addField(nameField); AnnotationsAttribute attr = new AnnotationsAttribute(classFile.getConstPool(), AnnotationsAttribute.visibleTag); Annotation annotation = new Annotation(classFile.getConstPool(), ClassPool.getDefault().get("javax.persistence.Entity")); attr.addAnnotation(annotation); classFile.addAttribute(attr); snakeClass = ctClass.toClass(); newInstance = snakeClass.newInstance(); And this is the exception I get: java.lang.NullPointerException at javassist.bytecode.ConstPool.getUtf8Info(ConstPool.java:565) at javassist.bytecode.annotation.EnumMemberValue.getValue(EnumMemberValue.java:98) at javassist.bytecode.annotation.EnumMemberValue.write(EnumMemberValue.java:116) at javassist.bytecode.annotation.Annotation.write(Annotation.java:316) at javassist.bytecode.AnnotationsAttribute.setAnnotations(AnnotationsAttribute.java:246) at javassist.bytecode.AnnotationsAttribute.addAnnotation(AnnotationsAttribute.java:211) at ClassLoadingTest.javassitTest(ClassLoadingTest.java:56) It seems to be a problem with @GeneratedValue. When I use it alone whithout id I get this exception either. When I use eclipse debugger to watch variable values, I get get this com.sun.jdi.InvocationException occurred invoking method. instead of the annotation value. but for Id annotation it shows a javassist annotation object. I'm new to javassist. Can anyone help me?

    I simply use the tabwidget : mTabHost = getTabHost(); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_1").setIndicator(getString(R.string.day0)).setContent(R.id.tab1_content)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_2").setIndicator(getString(R.string.day1)).setContent(R.id.tab2_content)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_3").setIndicator(getString(R.string.day2)).setContent(R.id.tab3_content)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_4").setIndicator(getString(R.string.day3)).setContent(R.id.tab4_content)); mTabHost.addTab(mTabHost.newTabSpec("tab_5").setIndicator(getString(R.string.about)).setContent(R.id.tab5_content)); mTabHost.setCurrentTab(0); Why are my tabs so uggly in 2.0 (no more rounded corners as in 1.5/1.6) ? ugly tabs here = this was better What should I do now to show "rounded corners" TABS to Nexus One (for exemple) users ;-) ? Is it because of the following manifest lines : <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> <supports-screens android:smallScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> I have to keep android:anyDensity="true" otherwise I've got a problem with re-sizing of the menus described here As a separate question, my users can change the Locale within my app itself, I then "redraw" the menus using onPrepareOptionsMenu (Menu menu) to refresh the strings within the menu with the new language choosen by the user. Is there an equivalent for TABS (I have local strings within the Title of the TABS) or do I have to delete all the tabs and re-create them from scratch ? Txs in advance for your help. Hub

  • Eclipselink read complex object model in an ordered way

    - by Raven
    Hi, I need to read a complex model in an ordered way with eclipselink. The order is mandantory because it is a huge database and I want to have an output of a small portion of the database in a jface tableview. Trying to reorder it in the loading/quering thread takes too long and ordering it in the LabelProvider blocks the UI thread too much time, so I thought if Eclipselink could be used that way, that the database will order it, it might give me the performance I need. Unfortunately the object model can not be changed :-( The model is something like: @SuppressWarnings("serial") @Entity public class Thing implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.TABLE) private int id; private String name; @OneToMany(cascade=CascadeType.ALL) @PrivateOwned private List<Property> properties = new ArrayList<Property>(); ... // getter and setter following here } public class Property implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.TABLE) private int id; @OneToOne private Item item; private String value; ... // getter and setter following here } public class Item implements Serializable { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.TABLE) private int id; private String name; .... // getter and setter following here } // Code end In the table view the y-axis is more or less created with the query Query q = em.createQuery("SELECT m FROM Thing m ORDER BY m.name ASC"); using the "name" attribute from the Thing objects as label. In the table view the x-axis is more or less created with the query Query q = em.createQuery("SELECT m FROM Item m ORDER BY m.name ASC"); using the "name" attribute from the Item objects as label. Each cell has the value Things.getProperties().get[x].getValue() Unfortunately the list "properties" is not ordered, so the combination of cell value and x-axis column number (x) is not necessarily correct. Therefore I need to order the list "properties" in the same way as I ordered the labeling of the x-axis. And exactly this is the thing I dont know how it is done. So querying for the Thing objects should return the list "properties" "ORDER BY name ASC" but of the "Item"s objects. My ideas are something like having a query with two JOINs. Joing Things with Property and with Item but somehow I was unable to get it to work yet. Thank you for your help and your ideas to solve this riddle.

  • DDD principlers and ASP.NET MVC project design

    - by kaivalya
    Two part questions I have a product aggregate that has; Prices PackagingOptions ProductDescriptions ProductImages etc I have modeled one product repository and did not create individual repositories for any of the child classes. All db operations are handled through product repository. Am I understanding the DDD concept correctly so far? Sometimes the question comes to my mind that having a repository for lets say packaging options could make my life easier by directly fetching a the packaging option from the DB by using its ID instead of asking the product repository to find it in its PackagingOptions collection and give it to me.. Second part is managing the edit create operations using ASP.MVC frame work I am currently trying to manage all add edit remove of these child collections of product through product controller(sound right?). One challenge I am now facing is; If I edit a specific packaging option of product through mydomain/product/editpackagingoption/10 I have access to the id of the packaging option But I don't have the ID of the product it self and this forces me to write a query to first find the product that has this specific packaging option then edit that product and the revelant packaging option. I can do this as all packaging option have their unique ID but this would fail if I have collections that don't have unique ID. That feels very wrong.. The next option I thought of is sending both the product and packaging option IDs on the url like; mydomain/product/editpackagingoption/3/10 But I am not sure if that is a good design either. So I am at a point that I am a bit confused. might be having fundamental misunderstandings around all of this... I would appreciate if you bear with the long question and help me put this together. thanks!

  • Jquery dependent dropdown doesn't work in IE

    - by earlyriser
    I have a 3 dropdowns: countries, states, and cities. States and cities are dependent of the previous form and loaded via AJAX. In Firefox and Chrome everything is ok, but in IE (8 in my case) when I select a state, the cities dropdown isn't loaded. It is like IE don't detect the change. It is not a load problem, because I have tested with a simple alert box. Any help will be really appreciated. The states loaded page is similar to: <div id="states"> <select id="woeid_state"> <option value="1">Alabama</option> <option value="2">Florida</option> </select> </div> The cities loaded page is similar to: <div id="towns"> <select id="woeid_town"> <option value="100">Miami</option> <option value="101">Orlando</option> </select> </div> The JS $(document).ready(function() { function loadStates( parent_woeid ) { $('#states').load("<?php echo $states_page?>"+parent_woeid); return false; } function loadCities( parent_woeid ) { $('#towns').load("<?php echo $cities_page;?>/admin1/"+parent_woeid); return false; } $("#woeid_country").change(function() { //alert("I am an alert box"); var country = $("select#woeid_country").val(); loadStates ( country); }); $("#states").change(function() { //alert("I am an alert box"); var admin1 = $("select#woeid_state").val(); loadCities ( admin1 ); }); }); The form: <form class="ordinary_form" method="post" action=""> <label>Country</label> <select name="woeid_country" id="woeid_country"> <option value="23424975">United Kingdom</option> <option value="23424977">United States</option> <option value="23424979">Uruguay</option> <option value="23424980">Uzbekistan</option> <option value="23424907">Vanuatu</option> <option value="23424982">Venezuela</option> <option value="23424984">Vietnam</option> </select> <label>State/Province</label> <div id="states"></div> <label>City</label> <div id="towns"></div> </form>

  • parse Linq To Xml with attribute nodes

    - by Manoj
    I am having xml with following structure <ruleDefinition appId="3" customerId = "acf"> <node alias="element1" id="1" name="department"> <node alias="element2" id="101" name="mike" /> <node alias="element2" id="102" name="ricky" /> <node alias="element2" id="103" name="jim" /> </node> </ruleDefinition> Here nodes are differentiated using alias and not with node tag. As you can see top level node element1 has same node name "node" as element2. I want to parse this XML based on attribute alias. What should be the Linq-To-Xml code (using C#)to acheive this?

  • complex sql which runs extremely slow when the query has order by clause

    - by basit.
    I have following complex query which I need to use. When I run it, it takes 30 to 40 seconds. But if I remove the order by clause, it takes 0.0317 sec to return the result, which is really fast compare to 30 sec or 40. select DISTINCT media.* , username from album as album , album_permission as permission , user as user, media as media where ((media.album_id = album.album_id and album.private = 'yes' and album.album_id = permission.album_id and (permission.email = '' or permission.user_id = '') ) or (media.album_id = album.album_id and album.private = 'no' ) or media.album_id = '0' ) and media.user_id = user.user_id and media.media_type = 'video' order by media.id DESC LIMIT 0,20 The id on order by is primary key which is indexed too. So I don't know what is the problem. I also have album and album permission table, just to check if media is public or private, if private then check if user has permission or not. I was thinking maybe that is causing the issue. What if I did this in sub query, would that work better? Also can someone help me write that sub query, if that is the solution? If you can't help write it, just at least tell me. I'm really going crazy with this issue.. SOLUTION MAYBE Yes, I think sub-query would be best solution for this, because the following query runs at 0.0022 seconds. But I'm not sure if validation of an album would be accurate or not, please check. select media.*, username from media as media , user as user where media.user_id = user.user_id and media.media_type = 'video' and media.id in (select media2.id from media as media2 , album as album , album_permission as permission where ((media2.album_id = album.album_id and album.private = 'yes' and album.album_id = permission.album_id and (permission.email = '' or permission.user_id = '')) or (media.album_id = album.album_id and album.private = 'no' ) or media.album_id = '0' ) and media.album_id = media2.album_id ) order by media.id DESC LIMIT 0,20

  • Relative Footer with Absolute DIV Elements

    - by Alex
    Hi, I'm creating a wordpress theme where the header and the nav bar are positioned absolutely, and the footer needs to be positioned relatively depending on the height of the content on each page. When I try to set the footer's positioning to relative, however, it appears at the top of the page underneath the content. All elements are in a relatively positioned container. Is there any way to fix this, or to dynamically get the height of the content plus the header and nav bar? The structure of the page is as follows: <div id="container"> <div id="header"> </div> <div id="navbar"> </div> <div id="content"> Dynamically generated and variable height content here. </div> <div id="footer"> </div> </div> And the relevant css is: #container { position: relative; margin:0px auto; width: 945px; text-align: left; } #header, #navbar{ background-color: #FFFFFF; position: absolute; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; width: 945px; float: left; } #footer { height: 35px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; width: 945px; position: relative; padding-top: 20px } Thanks for the help.

  • css sticky footer without scrolbar

    - by massinissa
    How to do to avoid having the scroller with a sticky footer to the bottom of the page (not bottom of window)? When I remove height=100% from content and sidebar, I'm no more getting the scroller. However, when doing so, my content and sidebar do not fill all the space down to the footer. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" /> <title>Untitled 13</title> <style media="all" type="text/css"> * { margin: 0; padding: 0; } html, body, #wrap, form { height: 100%; } #wrap, #footer { width: 750px; margin: 0 auto; } #wrap { background: #cff; } html, body { color: #000; background: #a7a09a; } body > #wrap { height: 100%; min-height: 100%; } form { /*height: auto;*/ min-height: 100%; } #main { background: #000; height:100%; min-height:100%; height: auto !important; */ } #content { height:100%; float: left; padding: 10px; float: left; width: 570px; background: #9c9; } #sidebar { height:100%; float: left; width: 140px; background: #c99; padding: 10px; } #footer { position: relative; margin-top: -100px; height: 100px; clear: both; background: #cc9; bottom: 0; } .clearfix:after { content: "."; display: block; height: 0; clear: both; visibility: hidden; } .clearfix { display: inline-block; } * html .clearfix { height: 1%; } .clearfix { display: block; } #header { /*padding: 5px 10px;*/ background: #ddd; } </style> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div id="wrap"> <div id="main" class="clearfix"> <div id="header"> <h1>header</h1> </div> <div id="sidebar"> <h2>sidebar</h2> </div> <div id="content"> <h2>main content</h2> </div> </div> </div> <div id="footer"> <h2>footer</h2> </div> </form> </body> </html>

  • Querying a Cassandra column family for rows that have not been updated in X days

    - by knorv
    I'm moving an existing MySQL based application over to Cassandra. So far finding the equivalent Cassandra data model has been quite easy, but I've stumbled on the following problem for which I'd appreciate some input: Consider a MySQL table holding millions of entities: CREATE TABLE entities ( id INT AUTO_INCREMENT NOT NULL, entity_information VARCHAR(...), entity_last_updated DATETIME, PRIMARY KEY (id), KEY (entity_last_updated) ); The table is regularly queried for entities that need to be updated: SELECT id FROM entities WHERE entity_last_updated IS NULL OR entity_last_updated < DATE_ADD(NOW(), INTERVAL -7*24 HOUR) ORDER BY entity_last_updated ASC; The entities returned by this queries are then updated using the following query: UPDATE entities SET entity_information = ?, entity_last_updated = NOW() WHERE id = ?; What would be the corresponding Cassandra data model that would allow me to store the given information and effectively query the entities table for entities that need to be updated (that is: entities that have not been updated in the last seven days)?

  • How can/could/might you bind WPF DataGrid to a List of objects each with some values in a Dictionary

    - by panamack
    major edit of a tumbleweed, may remain a tumbleweed... If I have a list of Customers and the data for each Customer is contained in a Dictionary how can I bind the list to the DataGrid so that each string key is a column? Edit: N.B. I know it's not a nice way to design a Customer class. e.g. public class Customer{ public int Id{get;set;} private Dictionary<string,string> values; public Dictionary<string,string> Values{get {return values;}} public Customer(int id){ this.Id = id; values["Name"] = "Peter"; values["Age"] = 129.ToString(); values["HairColour"] = "See through!"; } } ... later that day... var Customers = new List<Customer>(){ new Customer(1), new Customer(2), new Customer(3) }; ... and then... <DataGrid ItemsSource={Binding Path=Customers}/> ... desired result. Id | Name | Age | HairColour ________________________ 1 | Peter| 129 | See through! ________________________ 2 | Peter| 129 | See through! ________________________ 3 | Peter| 129 | See through! ________________________
