    Did a quick search but could not find anything about this. I guess all of you know that the Visual Studio Code Analysis is quite nitpicking and gives warnings about a lot of things. Does anybody know how well Microsoft follow this themselves..? That is, if I were to run a code analysis on their assemblies, would the warnings be none or very few (perhaps surpress warning with a justification..?).

However I want the body of the email to be a table (HTML- formatted table), I can do it in an Excel first and then copy and paste (but how?), or directly edit the corresponding Pandas data frame. newMail.body = my_table which is a Pandas data frame didn't work.   • Error opening crystal report in excel format

    We have an application written in VB.NET 2003 which has built in Crystal reports. When we install the application on Windows 2008 server we get the following error while trying to open crystal report in excel format Error is : Error in File :"....rpt" Error detected by export DLL. The report opens up fine in PDF on server Opeing report in Excel works fine on my local(development) machine...But this error is thrown on server... Kindly help me resolve this issue and how to fix it?..

    When using Excel (2003) to provide data for my unit tests it seems to think that when a cell has TRUE / FALSE value that it is null when there has been no preceding cell values e.g. if (TestContext.DataRow["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"] != DBNull.Value) model.SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied = (bool)TestContext.DataRow ["SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied"]; Sample Excel Data DataRow SatisfactionExtremelySatisfied 0 1 2 TRUE 3 TRUE When reading the test data using OLEDB the cells with TRUE hold no value but when the preceding cells have the value FALSE entered it correctly gets the values TRUE. Am I missing something?

  • Metro apps crash on startup, driver or permissions issue?

    After installing Win8 x64 RC, Metro apps worked correctly, but desktop OpenGL apps were slow and unresponsive. I installed the latest Win8 nVidia drivers, and the OpenGL apps started working correctly. At the same time, because of annoying permission messages, I changed the C:\ drive and all its files ownerships to my user, and gave it full permission. I restarted my pc after installing the drivers, and now Metro apps only show the splash screen, then crash. I tried installing other versions of the nVidia drivers, with the same result. My GPU is a GeForce GTX275. Is this a known problem with nVidia drivers? Or maybe changing the ownership of C:\ is the real problem? Thank you. More information (after looking in the event viewer) I've managed to find the problem and the error in the Event Viewer. I still cannot solve it.   • Program shortcuts disappearing in Windows Mobile 2003, any way to get them back?

    I have a WM2003 device with some programs installed on it and a full backup created and saved to a SD card. If the device runs out of charge for some time (or the battery removed) everything is reseted back to defaults, so the custom programs and configs are gone. When this happens I used to restore the full backup to put everything back to normal again. But I've recently installed TomTom Navigator 7 and for some reason, its shortcut in the "Programs" section is not saved when creating a full backup (with the eBackup app provided) and the installation doesn't create a shortcut in the main screen (as version 6 used to do). Is there any way to make this shortcut persistent? Is there any way to create custom shortcuts in the programs section or in the main screen (preferably)?   • Why is my mail stuck in the queue with the status "retry" in Exchange 2003?

    I have been having a problem recently where some of our mail is not getting to clients. I looked into the Message queue on my SBS2k3 server and noticed that several recipients are showing up in the queue with a state of "Retry". When I highlight the recipient, the additional queue information says "An SMTP protocol error occured". How can I find out more specifically what error occured, and how could I then go about correcting it? Thanks, Mike

  • Microsoft Arc Mouse OS X

    I recently bought a new Mac Book Pro with Mountain Lion 10.8 on it. The only portable mouse I have is my Microsoft Arc Mouse. I wanted to use it with the laptop so I installed the IntelliPoint 8.2 for Mac from Microsofts website. According to their website, this driver is for OS X 10.4-10.7. Now I thought that wouldnt be too much of an issue but unfortunately for me, the driver installs fine and the mouse is detected but I get no movement and when I click the buttons nothing happens. I took the mouse with me on a business trip to EU and before I left I checked if the mouse worked with my desktop which is running Windows 7 and it worked without any hiccups. I'm not too sure where the OS differs from 10.7 to 10.8. I found an article online but it doesn't pertain to my mouse, although it could be of assistance.   • 503 Error After Microsoft Request Routing Is Installed - 32 bit 64 bit madness

    I have a requirement to install the Microsoft Request Routing component for IIS 7.5 running on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64Bit machine. After installing Microsoft Request Routing via the Web Platform installer our ASP.NET 4.0 application gets a "HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable." The Windows event log error details says: The Module DLL 'C:\Program Files\IIS\Application Request Routing\requestRouter.dll' could not be loaded due to a configuration problem. The current configuration only supports loading images built for a AMD64 processor architecture. The data field contains the error number. To learn more about this issue, including how to troubleshooting this kind of processor architecture mismatch error, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=29349. I can make this error go away by changing the application pool to run in 32 bit mode by changing the "Enable 32-Bit Applications" setting to true. However I would prefer not to have to do that to resolve the issue. My questions are: Why is the Microsoft Request Routing feature trying to load a 32 bit version, isn't there a 64 bit version for it? How do I resolve this issue without having to change my application pool to a 32 bit mode?

  • Is 40+ Logons on Exchange 2003 per user normal?

    Hello! We've had a problem at work where users sometimes randomly can't connect to exchange. I've found out that it's because they reached the limit of 32 concurrent logons. I increased the maximum allowed connections by adding the key "Maximum Allowed Sessions Per User" in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem. But I'm not sure if this is a real good fix. Looking at the logons some users has as many as 15 logons with the exact same logon time. I know for sure that Outlook 2007 does this, as I was watching them while a user connected with Outlook after a restart on the Exchange service. Every user also has an iPhone connected to exchange, I don't know if these cause the same thing. Is this normal? Could there be a bug in the software? (The Outlook 2007 has nothing configured, except added the user, pure vanilla installs). The users are mobile, and when Outlook generates up to 15 connection every time it connects, and I've read (no sources, sorry) that Outlook doesn't time out connections before 2 hours. I might have to set this number real high to prevent it from being a problem.

    Let's say I have a web-server on my internal network which is behind a NAT router. I have my external DNS for the “xyz.com” domain configured with an A record for “foo” that points to my router's public address. I want my internal network clients to resolve foo.xyz.com to the internal address. However, this is the only xyz.com record that should point to an internal address. Do I need to create a primary zone for xyz.com and mirror all the records from my external zone with the exception of “foo” (this is what I am doing now), or is there a better way?

I had to change our unnamed crappy ADSL router to a crappy Comtrend CT-5361 WiFi router, now every WiFi connection to the domain doesn't work correctly: Joining the domain is impossible (see related question) Logging into the domain takes ages Authentication usually fails Question: How to debug this and pinpoint the exact problem? I have no enough knowledge on either WiFi networks or on Active Directory to know which connections are made at which stages nor how to check what's happening at the wireless level to compare what should happen to what is happening. I'm looking for resources to learn what should be happening and tools to detect what is actually happening (I expect a sniffer should be enough, but if there are better, more specialized tools, that'd be great).
