• ASP.NET MVC: Problem generating thumbnails...need help!

  Ok, so i'm new to asp.net mvc and i'm trying to make a web application photo gallery. I've posted once on here about this issue i am having of trying to generate thumbnails on-the-fly on the page instead of the actual full-size images. Basically, the functionality i am looking for is to be able to have thumbnails on the page and then be able to click the images to see the full-size version. I am pulling the images and images info from an XML file. So, i did this so i could display them dynamically and so it would be easier to make changes later. Later, i am going to add functionality to upload new images to specific galleries (when i figure out how to do that as well). • Inheritance Problem in Perl OOP

  Hello, I have a sub class that calls a method from a super class. and the method in the super class use a method that is defined in the super class as asbstract(not really abstract) but implemented in the sub class. for example: package BaseClass; sub new { } sub method1 { return someAbstractMethod(); } sub someAbtsractMethod { die "oops, this is an abstract method that should be implemented in a subclass" ; } 1; package SubClass; sub new { } sub someAbtsractMethod { print "now we implement the asbtract method"; } 1; now when I do: $sub = new SubClass(); $sub-method1(); It calls the abstract message and i get the specified error message. if I took off the abstractmethod from the super class and just leave the implementation in the subclass, It does not recognize the method and I get subroutine abstractmethod not found error.

In one test i'm trying to call a command to save a dirty editor. But an assertion after the call, tells me that the editor is still dirty. An the data in the dirty editor is not showing up in the database. On the other hand, i'm not getting an Exception when calling the command... new CommandFinder().findCommand(CoreMatchers.equalTo(COMMANDNAME_SAVE)).get(0).click(); Has anyone any insperation for me, where i made a mistake?

• Qt - problem appending to QList of QList

  I'm trying to append items to a QList at runtime, but I'm running on a error message. Basically what I'm trying to do is to make a QList of QLists and add a few customClass objects to each of the inner lists. What am I doing wrong?

  I'm having a hard time trying to get my stored procedure works with NHibernate. The data returned from the SP does not correspond to any database table. And later on in CheckNamedQueries function, it is not able to find the persistor for SomeClass. I've checked all the obvious things (e.g. make hbm as an embedded resource) and my code isn't too much different from other samples I found on the web, but somehow I just can't get it working. Any idea how I can resolve this issue?

• Rails Google Maps integration Javascript problem

  I'm working on Rails 3.0.0.beta2, following Advanced Rails Recipes "Recipe #32, Mark locations on a Google Map" and I hit a road block: I do not see a google map. My @adds view uses @adds.to_json to connect the google maps api with my model. My database contains "latitude" "longitude", as floating points. And the entire project can be accessed at github.   Hi, I am using Java Date and Hibernate which is then being saved in the database (Postgresql). I am not that good in hibernate Part of the Mapping File <property name="DateOfBirth" type="java.util.Date"> <column name="DATEOFBIRTH" /> </property> I am using GWT Date picker Short date format i.e. yyyy-MM-dd. I am getting the value from the date picker using View.getUserDateOfBirth().getValue() But when I am saving the date 2010-11-30 into the datebase it is saving it as 2010-11-30 00:00:00 instead of 2010-11-30 So, I want it to be saved in the database as in this format 2010-11-30?? I have many things such timestamp but i not being able to configure it. I think this part <property name="DateOfBirth" type="java.util.Date"> <column name="DATEOFBIRTH" /> </property> should be changed but I do not know what to change

Links have a class='lightwindow' and after clicking is rising up a LightWindow script with a window. So it work's vell on the First Page .. when i click Next Page on SortTable.Pager and clickin on my link 'Details' it's doesnt work correctly, it looks like my links lost their class='lightwindow'. Any suggestions?

• Visual Studio 2008 Web Project problem with PNG files

  I've added a PNG file to a directory in my VS2k8 webforms project, and when I run the app, it refuses to render my image - it even knows the dimensions but renders a box with a red X. Oddly enough, if I double click the PNG file within VS2k8, it opens up in the IDE and displays fine (but only within the IDE). Does anyone have any clues? The path is correct.. I just have a basic default.aspx page with this in the body <img src="img/logo.png" /> if i navigate to img/logo.png in the browser, it shows a box with the same dimensions as my image, but a red x. Its finding the image, just not rendering it. It's showing up in IE running under the vs2k8 web server (localhost:5512/default.aspx) I've dropped a JPG in the same directory, and it shows up just fine. I'm not sure what type of PNG it is, but here is the kicker.... If i make an HTML file that references that image, copy both this HTML file and PNG file to my webserver (or just double click on the HTML page), it comes up JUST FINE. Its leading me to believe that the Visual Studio web server may not recognize PNG files (at least this one) properly?

• Oauth callback problem

  I am using OAuth with google data api. We have a portal only for authorized users. So when users are logged in and if they are accessing calendar page, they will be asked if they want to sync their calendars with google calendar. If yes, they will be redirected for authentication. Once user has granted access, google appends OAuth_Token to the callback URL. the callback URL was that of the page of calendar in portal. This url has its query string options encrypted. But when the redirection happens , it takes back to login page of url. url is like http://aaa.xyz.com/(encrypted part of query string) and after oauth_token is authorized, this url becomes http://aaa.xyz.com/(encrypted part of query string)&oauth_token. So the user sees the login page after redirection instead of original page. How should I handle this in code.

  Hey there! I'm setting public fields of the Object 'this' via reflection. Both the field name and the value are given as String. I use several various field types: Boolean, Integer, Float, Double, an own enum, and a String. It works with all of them except with a String. The exception that gets thrown is that no method with the Signature String.valueOf(String) exists... • UIView, UIScrollView and UITextFields problem calling Method

  I have a view with several embedded UITextFields, this UIView is subordinated to a UIScrollView in IB. Each text field is supposed to invoke a method called updateText defined in the viewcontroller implementation file when the user is done editing the field. For some reason, the method updateText never gets invoked. Anyone have any ideas how to go about fixing this? The method fired off just fine when the UIScrollView was not present in the project but the keyboard would cover the text fields during input, which was annoying. Now my textfields move up above the keyboard when it appears, but won't fire off the method when done editing.
