  • Absolute positioning error in IE6 with dropdown list

    I have a div, that I'm using JavaScript to position, so that when someone hovers over an image, it displays a tooltip message that follows along with the pointer. (Using tooltip-0.2.js ) The problem is that when a user goes to the page in IE6, a disabled dropdown box on the page is showing through this absolutely positioned tooltip when it tries to hover over it. How can I get this dropdownlist to know its proper place? ;)

  • I know I can't say myView.frame.origin.x = val - But why ?

    I know that I can't use that myView.frame.origin.x = 25.0; that I have to use instead CGRect myFrame = myView.frame; myFrame.origin.x = 25.0; myView.frame = myFrame; And I'm doing it all the time (f.e. in animations), but I don't know why I must do it that way. I would like to fill that gap in my understanding. Can someone explain ?

  • draw is being constantly called in my android map overlay

    I'm trying to draw a route onto my MapView. I've extended Overlay and implemented the draw() method. The route is displayed properly, although while debugging, I added a breakpoint on draw(), and noticed it is being called constantly. I only want it to be re-drawn if someone moves the map or zooms (the draw take into account these changes when drawing the route) What can cause this ?

  • Eclipse with JSR 250 (annotation) yields "Access Restriction" errors.

    Hi, Hopefully someone has come across this before. I'm running Spring STS 2.3.0 and when attempting to use the @Resource annotation from javax.annotations.Resource I get "Access restriction: The type Resource is not accessible due to restriction on required library". I'm using the JDK 6u18. I've tried changing the JDK Compliance to 1.5 and 1.6 and both yield the same error. Cheers, -Ed

    What I would like to do is pretty simple. Given textboxes for ItemPrice, Tax and Total, I need the text value for Total to be bound to ItemPrice + Tax and the Tax value to display ItemPrice * taxRate. Could someone offer a brief explanation as to how this would be accomplished or point me to an appropriate example? I see property binding examples all over the place, but none that show binding to a calculation of the properties of two controls.

    Hi, I am just trying to understand the extends keyword in Java Generics. List<? extends Animal> means we can stuff any object in the List which IS A Animal then won't the following also mean the same thing: List<Animal> Can someone help me know the difference between the above two?     Do you know of a tutorial that demonstrates Public Private Key encryption(PPKE) in C++ or C? I am trying to learn how it works and eventually use Crypto++ to create my own encryptions using public private keys. Maybe theres a Crypto++ PPKE tutorial? Maybe someone can explain the relationship(if any) between the public and private keys? Could anyone suggest some very simple public and private key values I could use(like 'char*32','char/32') to create my simple PPKE program to understand the concept?
