    I'm using Xubuntu 13.10, although this problem was in 13.04 too. The thing is that Transmission window freezes sometimes and makes computer not response. This problem appears, when Transmission creates another window, e.g. for preferences, or for choosing files to be downloaded. What might be the reason for the problem? After reading similar questions, I think the reason might be that I download files to ntfs partition.

    On windows Server 2008 R2 I have recently added the windows server backup (WSB) feature. Opening WSB I get the message "Reading Data; please wait...". This message fails to go away, even after leaving the server for over 12 hours. I also notice in the task manager that svchost.exe (username: networkservice) is using all available processing power. So I terminated that process and then WSB comes on-line. However after restarting the server and WSB the issue reoccurs. WSB also fails to recognize my store-in-go flash drive (2gb). What is the underlying problem here?

  • Why did my RWA Computers gadget stop working?

    Our company has SBS 2011 and the "Computers" gadget in Remote Web Access has suddenly stopped working. The below error appears in place of the list of computers: "There was a problem loading a gadget. Contact the person who manages your server." There hasn't been any recent changes to the server that I know of. Also, when I go to SBS standard console and go to properties of a user to view the list of computers the user has access to it says "querying..." instead of a list of computers. Any troubleshooting tips? Can't seem to figure out what is going on. I've tried restarting the server and poking around in the event logs and I couldn't find anything wrong. Update 1: I came across another error when viewing properties for a user through the SBS standard console. "There is no such object on the server."

  • How to disable monitor auto detection in Windows 7?

    I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with a dual monitor setup with an NVIDIA 7950 GT graphics card. One monitor is dedicated to this machine and the other monitor is connected to a DVI KVM switch. When I switch to my other computer, Windows 7 disables the monitor. However, when I switch back it does not re-enable the monitor. The only circumstance that automatically re-enables the second monitor is when I switch back after Windows has put the monitors into power save mode. I am continually having to bring up the NVIDIA control panel to have it re-enable the monitor. Under Windows XP I would just disable the NVIDIA service to prevent it from auto-detecting the monitor (which doesn't solve the problem under Win7), and in Vista there was a registry hack that would prevent this. It looks as though that has been removed in Windows 7. I have found similar questions posted on this site, but nothing that matches my problem exactly.   • VAMT 3.0 Proxy Activate - No ‘Apply Confirmation ID’ option at all

    I tried to activate my windows box in isolated network zone, so I followed the process of 'Scenario 2: Proxy Activation' in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh825202.aspx using two VAMT 3.0 hosts. Everything went fine (actually I'm not sure what option to choose when exporting VAMT data to .cilx file, I tried 'Export products and product keys' and 'Export proxy activation data only' anyway, is this a cause of this problem, I have no idea), until I wanted to apply the CID and activate the isolated pc. In 'Activate', there is no 'Apply Confirmation ID' option!, its only options are 'Acquire and save confirmation ID only' and 'Acquire confirmation ID, apply to selected machine(s) and activate'. The error message is 'cannot resolve remote name 'go.microsoft.com'' when I chose any of them, looks like acquire confirmation id always need to go to this url. But I just want to apply cid... Has anyone run into this, please? I searched internet, seems no answer... Any suggestion would be appreciated, thank you!

Hp has only Vista drivers and no Windows 7 drivers yet : link and link The main issues after installing Windows 7 is that the graphics card (Nvidia GeForce Go 6150) and the coprocessor are not detected.The latest 191.07 GeForce/ION Driver installer says that it cannot find any compatible hardware by the way, i still haven't been able to get Xp running on this . The Nvidia GeForce Go 6150 driver seems to be customized by HP !! If you install the laptopvideo2go.com/ drivers on Xp(after MS nags that it can't verify the publisher of the driver) , it shows the blue screen of death. Is there a way to debug the BSOD ?
