• Change the colour of ablines on ggplot

  Using this data I am fitting a plot: p <- ggplot(dat, aes(x=log(Explan), y=Response)) + geom_point(aes(group=Area, colour=Area))+ geom_abline(slope=-0.062712, intercept=0.165886)+ geom_abline(slope= -0.052300, intercept=-0.038691)+ scale_x_continuous("log(Mass) (g)")+ theme(axis.title.y=element_text(size=rel(1.2),vjust=0.2), axis.title.x=element_text(size=rel(1.2),vjust=0.2), axis.text.x=element_text(size=rel(1.3)), axis.text.y=element_text(size=rel(1.3)), text = element_text(size=13)) + scale_colour_brewer(palette="Set1") The two ablines represent the phylogenetically adjusted relationships for each Area trend. I am wondering, is it possible to get the ablines in the same colour palette as their appropriate area data? The first specified is for Area A, the second for Area B. I used: g <- ggplot_build(p) to find out that the first colour is #E41A1C and the second is #377EB8, however when I try to use aes within the +geom_abline command to specify these colours i.e. p <- ggplot(dat, aes(x=log(Explan), y=Response)) + geom_point(aes(group=Area, colour=Area))+ geom_abline(slope=-0.062712, intercept=0.165886,aes(colour='#E41A1C'))+ geom_abline(slope= -0.052300, intercept=-0.038691,aes(colour=#377EB8))+ scale_x_continuous("log(Mass) (g)")+ theme(axis.title.y=element_text(size=rel(1.2),vjust=0.2), axis.title.x=element_text(size=rel(1.2),vjust=0.2), axis.text.x=element_text(size=rel(1.3)), axis.text.y=element_text(size=rel(1.3)), text = element_text(size=13)) + scale_colour_brewer(palette="Set1") It changes the colour of the points and adds to the legend, which I don't want to do. • Cross compiling from MinGW on Fedora 12 to Windows - console window?

  After reading this article http://lukast.mediablog.sk/log/?p=155 I decided to use mingw on linux to compile windows applications. This means I can compile, test, debug and release directly from Linux. I hacked this build script which will cross compile the application and even package it in a ZIP file. Note that I am using out of source builds for QMake (did you even know this is supported? wow...). Also note that the script will pull the needed DLLs automagically. Now to the questions: When I execute the application on Windows, the theme is not the Windows7 theme. I assume I am missing a style module, I am not really sure yet. The application gets a console window for some reason. The second point (the console window) is critical. How can I remove this background window? Please note that the extra config lines are not working for me, what am I missing there?

• Should onSaveInstanceState save the "enabledness" of the views?

  Hi there, I have a preferences activity where I can change the language and the theme of my application. From there I return to the previous activity via the Back key, and I want to recreate the activity. I've managed to do that by reinitializing the layout in onResume and also calling onRestoreInstanceState from there. All the views are restored properly, with checkboxes checked if needed, edittexts filled with texts I left there previously. But I also have a button which is initially disabled, and becomes enabled only when a radiobutton is checked. The problem with it is the following: I check the radiobutton, the button becomes enabled. Then I go to settings, change the theme there, and return to the first activity. When I arrive there, the radiobutton is still checked, but the button is disabled. So it seems that the enabled/disabled state isn't being saved into the bundle, which seems counterintuitive. And I haven't found any code in the Android source that does this, too. Am I missing something, or do I have to write my own code for that?

  Hi everyone, I'm wondering why the Motorola Milestone with 2.1-update1 behaves differently from the Emulator or e.g. the Nexus One. I am trying to exit my app with: @Override protected void onPause() { if(mayDestroyActivity) this.finish(); super.onPause(); } This works well on either Emulator or Nexus One. onDestroy() gets called immediatly after onPause() and onStop. But not for the Milestone. Instead, onDestroy() gets called when another Activity is started. • Passing data between Drupal module callback, preprocess and template

  I've create a module called finder that I want to take parameters from a url, crunch them and then display results via a tpl file. here's the relevant functions... function finder_menu() { $items = array(); $items['finder'] = array( 'page callback' => 'finder_view', 'access callback' => TRUE, ); return $items; } function finder_theme($existing, $type, $theme, $path) { return array( 'finder_view' => array( 'variables' => array('providers' => null), 'template' => 'results', ), ); } function finder_preprocess_finder_view(&$variables) { // put my data into $variables } function finder_view($zipcode = null) { // Get Providers from Zipcode return theme('finder_view', $providers); } Now I know finder_view is being called. I also know finder_preprocess_finder_view is being called. Finally, I know that result.tpl.php is being used to output. But I cannot wrap my head around how to do meaningful work in the callback, somehow make that data available in the preprocessor to add to "variables" so that i can access in the tpl file. in a situation where you are using a tpl file is the callback even useful for anything? I've done this in the past where the callback does all the work and passes to a theming function, but i want to use a file for output instead this time. Thanks...

• Paging not working in my wordpress installation

  I recently started a blog site and wanted to give it a magazine look. I used Wordpress for my blog and used the Arthemia theme with it. I also changed the permalink structure to point to /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ structure. Now the problem that i have is that the paging has stopped working on my home page. When i click on the next page link i get a 404 error. My /page/2 url does not show the next page. I check on google and found out that it was due to the redirection that is being performed due to the permalink change. The solution given was that i need to skip the url rewriting for the /page/* urls. This is the link to an article which said this http://www.yoursearchadvisor.com/blog/wordpress-next_posts_link-broken/ . I was not able to follow this article and solve my problem, as i could not find the permanent redirect manager under the settings section as said in this article. Can somebody please guide me how to solve this problem. I am using the latest Wordpress version and Arthemia theme with it. Thanks.

• Core-Plot crash only in Release Configuration

  Hey everyone, I really don't know a solution or even an idea to get around the following failure. It only happens in Release Configuration on the Device - Simulator and Debug Configuration work fine. It also only appears on the second launch. So if I have the phone connected to my mac, build the application and run it, everything works fine. If I then close the app and restart, it crashes. • Child Activity in Android

  So I have two Activities. The main is called Main, and the child one is called Child. When a button is clicked in the main activity it triggers the following piece of code: Intent i = new Intent(Main.this, Child.class); Main.this.startActivity(i); That opens the Child activity. As soon as I call finish() or press the back button within the child activity instead of going back to the main one, the app just closes. Can you give me a hint where the problem might be :( P.S. By trial and error I found out that if edit AndroidManifest.xml and add android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog" within the declaration of Child the back button and calling finish() behaves as expected: closes the child activity and brings the main into focus. The problem is that when I start typing in an EditText the screen starts flickering (rather bizzare). So I can't use it as a dialog. My main activity uses the camera, so that might be making problems. Although when the child activity is started, the onPause event is fired and it stops the camera until onResume is called.

Diarise is an event planner theme with calendar blah, blah... and uses custom fields to store the event start and end dates in WP custom fields in the *wp_postmeta* table, which implements a key-value store. So for each post in the "event" category, there are 2 records in *wp_postmeta*, named *event_start_date* and *event_end_date* that I'm interested in. The task is to compare a tourist's arrival and departure dates with the start and end dates of events, yielding a what's on list of events available. We thought we'd killed it with a grand flash of logic, that goes like this: Disregard any event that ends before the tourist arrives, and any that begin after the departure date. • Prestashop - quick development questions

  Sorry to post here about this but no one at the prestashop forum seems active enough to help. I thought maybe someone here on stackoverflow might have worked with prestashop. I started using Prestashop yesterday so I’m a total beginner, but I’m very experienced in web development, I do have some quick questions though. I’ve googled around but it causes me great frustration since I don’t really know what I’m looking for or what’s avaiable. Is there absolutely no API for this? I mean I found the wiki but it holds no good information. I want to edit my theme completely, as I wish. Edit html, add/remove js, just being able to do what I want, but when I edit the tpl files in my active theme, NOTHING happens. The site remains exactly the same. Why is this, or where do I change it without hacking the core? Do I have to recompile these .tpl files in some way for the changes to take affect? I also want to edit alot of the modules to match my demands, but same here, if I edit their tpl files nothing seems to happen or rather I don’t want to hack the core, since I suppose these will be affected if I update the platform. Where do I find my products page, I want to create a menu with a link to a page called products or something with an overview of the products avaiable in my store. I’m very confused, but I guess you just have to get through this, I’m used to developing in wordpress or without any cms for that matter. Sorry if my questions are very basic and probably have been answered before. :<

• Wordpress paths issue

  I have set a crawler up in wordpress which grabs stocks data and writes to file which when a user enters a symbol/ticker the variable is read and if it matches the data of a previous crawl for that particular companies data will echo the text file on page, if no data is found the crawler then sets off grabs it and writes to file to save for the next time that symbol is used. The problem im having is that everything works groovey apart from one thing, when the content is written to file it saves it in the WP root and not inside a subfolder of the theme, basicaly this means that root becomes untidy very quickly and also should the theme be used on another site then its not practical as some important info is missing. I have tried bloginfo and absolute both return the same failure. • Tiny MCE (jquery plugin version) not showing toolbar in IE (works fine in other browsers)

  I had an implementation working well but for some reason IE decided it was tired of playing nice. I have an advanced implementation of TinyMCE (the jquery plugin version - see http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/example_23.php for details). It still works great in all browsers but IE. In IE it shows the drop-down options for Format, Font family, and Font size, but only as text.. not as a drop down normally looks. All other buttons on the toolbar are missing. (I've tried IE8 and IE8 Compatibility Mode) I get a javascript error: Syntax error Line 36 Char 1. Unfortunately the javascript is being loaded dynamically so this doesn't help me. Putting in the following attribute has no effect: cssStyle="width:115px!important;" What can I do?

• JQuery event that triggers after CSS is loaded?

  (I posted this on the jquery forums but it's still awaiting moderation, so I thought I'd try my luck here since stackoverflow is so awesome. If I get an answer I'll post it here.) Maybe someone can help me with this, I have a couple of links on my page (inside a <div id="theme-selector">) which allow you to change the CSS stylesheets: $('#theme-selector a').click(function(){ var path = $(this).attr('href'); $('head link').remove(); $('head').append('<link type="text/css" href="'+path+'" rel="stylesheet" />'); return false; }); Now, after I've changed the style on the page, I want to get the new background color, using the following code (which I put after the $('head').append call): var bgcolor = $('body').css('background-color'); alert(bgcolor); The problem is, I think, that it takes some time for the browser to download the new stylesheet and I sometimes get the old background color in my alert message. Is there some event I can bind that will only alert me after all the stylesheets are loaded on the page? At the moment, all I can think of is using a setTimeout(function(){}, 5000); which isn't great, because what if it takes longer/shorter to load all the CSS on the page. Let me know if I need to clarify anything and I can provide more code. Thanks in advance.

• What CSS do I need to make my site more responsive?

  My site is: http://library.skybundle.com I feel like I almost have a responsive site. I did all the CSS styling myself. It is a Wordpress site but I completely edited the CSS of the original theme, so it is night-and-day different than it used to be. The original theme was mostly just for a canvas for me to work with, since I am not an expert in PHP and we wanted a Wordpress site for easy editing later on. Thanks to stackoverflow, I now have a footer that sticks to the bottom of every page and everything mostly looks good -- the way we want it anyway. The only thing missing now is the we want browser windows on MOBILE devices, such as on an iPhone, to automatically adjust the layout of the content in the body (wrapper). For example, on the main page (library.skybundle.com), I would like those two big icons two become vertically aligned as soon as the browser window sizes to a small, mostly vertical size, like that of a mobile phone. Take this site, for example: http://freedomsoundproductions.securesb.net/ This is what we would like it to do. So one a page with a sidebar, the content to the right of the sidebar should basically jump into the same "column" as the left sidebar and form one single long column. Just like in the example site above. This should all be possible via CSS. People in other forums seem to want me to use jQuery and stuff, but I can only use CSS, and I know that this must be possible without having to resort to jQuery, HTML, or other code.

• Jquery - Dialogue not displaying correctly on IE6

  I am trying to use bgiform but it seems to have no effect. The text in IE is pushed off of the screen of the dialogue box when its displayed. It works fine in FF. • WordPress > Cannot get custom meta settings to change once set...

  The script below adds a custom meta box to the WordPress page editor interface. It lists two specific categories, "noindex" and "nofollow", which my custom theme automatically installs when the theme is activated. It works fine for selecting and assigning the categories to the page. However, if the user unchecks either of them, the settings do not stick. • resultCode is always 0

  I'm trying to get the resultCode to be OK inside my onActivityResult function. However, it keeps coming back as 0. I have spent several days on this, and can't figure out why it doesn't work. • 12.04 upgrade broke grub? (not wubi related)

  I just updated from 11.10 to 12.04, with no major problems (it took a while to get past a request to restart ssh, mysql and some other services, but I did no fiddling by myself, everything was done by the installer). However, after restarting, grub can't do anything. Picking the new linux installation (first entry), I just get error: no such partition error: no such partition error: no such partition and picking the recovery-version just gives 5 lines instead of 3. I have windows 7 installed on a different drive, and can run it by booting from that drive instead. Picking it from the grub menu gives the same error as above (can't remember how many lines, though). I'll be honest and say that I don't remember if win 7 could be booted from grub before the update, though. In short, nothing on the grub menu works. any solutions? The grub menu changed appearance - before it was on a purple background, small letters, now it's white-on-black, big letters, looking very basic. The original installation was from a usb-drive, and I hadn't heard about wubi until I started googling this problem, so I doubt there's any connection. I really hope there are some grub-savvy people out there :) EDIT: ok. so, I made a bootable usb, and am running from that right now. when I ran the bootinfoscript, it warned me that "gawk" could not be found, using "busybox awk" instead. This may lead to unreliable results. just so you know.
