  • Visual studio winform designer shows design errors as text rather than html

    All of the sudden, visual studio displays designer errors as plain html text, for example: <DIV id="div1" class="ErrorStyle" width="100%"><span style="font-weight: 600"><br>Object reference not set to an instance of an object. </span><br><a href="" instead of displaying the usual html formatted. I haven't been able to find anything similar to it on google. Before getting this problem, when I tried opening the winform designer, I would get the run/save/cancel dialog of internet explorer for a .tmp file, instead of the designer window. That went away when I found out that I had notepad assigned to the .tmp file type and removed that. Any ideas how to fix this?

  • String to array or Array to string tips on formats, etc

    hi, first of all thanks for taking your time! I'm a junior Dev, working with PHP + mysql. My issue: I'm saving data from a form to my database. From this form, there's only need to save the contacts: Name, phone number, address. But, it would be nice to have a small reference to the user answers. Let's say for each question we've got a value betwee 1 and 4. Since there's no need to create a table just for it, because what's needed is just the personal contacts. I'm thinking of recording each question/answer, as a letter and its correspondent value. Example (A2, B1, C5, D3, etc). My question is: Is there a format I could afterwards, handle easily ? Convert to array (string to array) in case the client change ideas, and ask this data, placed in table columns ? Just to prevent this situation! Example, From (A2, B1, C5 ) to array( "A" = "1", "B" = "1", "C" = "5" ) For now I guess, Regex is the answer, but it's allways hard to figure it out and I'm allways getting in troubles =) Thanks!

    Hi, I have used just Windows for programming so far. Now, I have an internship starting in two weeks and I will be using just Linux environment with Python programming language. I've installed Ubuntu on my system but have no exposure to shell scripting. I need some advice on how I can quickly learn to use the Linux terminal quickly. Any books or web resources that you can suggest? Also, is there a particular IDE that is generally preferred for Python programming on Linux, or is Vim preferred? My problem is that the script takes up monster amounts of memory, and since I'm running this on my MAMP install on my iBook G4, my computer freezes up.   • HTML Form Upload PDF with other form contents using PHP

    I have a HTML form with fields such as name, address, notes, etc. I also have a field to upload a PDF. The uploaded PDF get's stored on the file system. How can I accomplish this if possibly the PDF files are larger than 2 MBs? Also, for some reason, the uploading of the PDF (< 2 MBs) works fine in Chrome, but not in IE. In IE, the upload doesn't even begin, but in Chrome, it completes fine.     I'm working on a large computer science school project using java and SQlite. After finding out that the zentus.org wrapper errors on databases with ON DELETE and ON UPDATE clauses set, I have changed to the other wrapper found at http://www.ch-werner.de/javasqlite. However, I find the documentation lacking somewhat when trying to get an overview on how it works and how to use it, and the function descriptions are very very short, and you have to scan through every function and somewhat guess how they work and what they do. I wasn't able to find any guides on google on how to use it. My question: Does anyone know a link for a guide or tutorial for the ch-werner.de/javasqlite wrapper, or else can give me a basic code example, or give a quick overview of querying the database and the most used functions, and how to use them?

(NB: I have MicrosoftAjax.js and MicrosoftMvcAjax.js in my head tags of the master page Should JsonResult be ActionResult? (I have seen both used in samples on web) Do I need to register route Controller/UpdateDropDown in Global.asax? Any further guidance would be appreciated.

But it has a performance limitation during the generation of bulk pages (like more than 1000) in the pdf. The limitation comes when we use bigger images in the html content. From last 4 months i've been working on the winnovative control and found plenty of major bugs in it. For a small application and usage. winnovative is good but not for the level where application will be used by thousands of clients. Please suggest.

    Hello im a newbie at using Drupal, and have come across a block in my progress. I have been using CCK to add new content types to my forms. I was wondering if there was any way to add to the form that is generated so that i may contain the elements and also insert visual html code like head rules etc. I have dabbled with the hook_form_alter() and it does not seem to help me in my efforts. Ive been through adjusting tpl.php files and such and have made no progress. Please if there is any one there in the inter-webs who is knowledgeable on this matter your advice would be greatly appreciated. Here is just an example of what I would want to do within the form: 1. I want each title link to lead to the specific article with the parameters like I'm setting in the partial view. Thanks.

    I would like to allow my users to submit a subset of xhtml that will be displayed to other users (likely I'll build a schema for it) but I want the server to handle validation more gracefully then hard rejecting invalid submissions.... Instead I'd like the server to Html Encode invalid/harmful parts of the submissions.... (sanitize javascript and css etc.) Is there any library (maybe asp.net mvc 2 has such functionality?) or do I have to develop my own? or maybe there is a javascript library that html encodes invalid parts and I can just have the server only accept that subset?

    hi, I'm using a (modal) lightbox on a page of my website to display my nodes. I'm using some plugins such as an external jquery-plugin for tooltips and the drupal plugin jQuery Media (to load flash video player for some video file-fields). These plugins are loaded when the main page load and they parse the html content of the page. When I dynamically load the lightbox (and I use AJAX to update its content) the html inside the lightbox is not parse... so no tooltips, no videos. how can I solve this ? Should I trigger the plugins again from Lightbox callback function ? Or should I use something else instead of the lightbox ? Thanks
