• Executing bat file and returning the prompt

  I have a problem with cruisecontrol where an ant scripts executes a bat file that doesn't give me the prompt back. As a result, the project in cruisecontrol keeps on bulding forever until I restart cruisecontrol. How can I resolve this?   I have a Java project that I build using an Ant script. I am trying to convert the project to Maven. • How to insert records in master/detail relationship

  I have two tables: OutputPackages (master) |PackageID| OutputItems (detail) |ItemID|PackageID| OutputItems has an index called 'idxPackage' set on the PackageID column. ItemID is set to auto increment. But once I set it, and run this code I get an error that says I've got a duplicate primary key 'ItemID'. I'm not sure what's going on - this is my first foray into master/detail, so something may be setup wrong. I'm using ComponentAce's Absolute Database for this project. How can I get this to insert properly? Update Ok, I removed the primary key restraint in my db, and I see that for some reason, the autoincrement feature of the OutputItems table isn't working like I expected. Here's how the OutputItems table looks after running the above code: ItemID|PackageID| 1 |1 | 1 |1 | 2 |2 | 2 |2 | I still don't see why all the ItemID values aren't unique.... Any ideas?

The relationships are required to be ManyToOne (Package to Content) and ManyToMany (Content to sub-Contents) but for the case I am currently testing each sub-Content only relates to one Package or Content. The problem is that when I delete a Package and flush the session, I get a Hibernate error stating that I'm violating a foreign key constraint on table subcontents, with a particular content_id still referenced from table subcontents. I've tried specifically (recursively) deleting the Contents before deleting the Package but I get the same error. Is there a reason why this entity tree is not being deleted properly?

  I've just created a package (RTIO) and a package repository (Q:/Integrated Planning/R), which is a company network drive. • Server 2008R2 Server Manager Roles and Features won't refresh or allow addition of new roles or features

  I have a standalone DC in an isolated lab. I have installed the SUR tool and found no errors. I ran SFC and found no errors. I have attempted to install Windows Backup feature using Powershell, but received the same error about the computer needing to be restarted. Powershell cmdlets will list all of the installed roles and features. The rest of Server Manager works without problems. What can I do to get Server Manager Roles and Features working properly again? • Entity Framework 4 relationship management in POCO Templates - More lazy than FixupCollection?

  I've been taking a look at EF4 POCO templates in beta 2. The FixupCollection looks fine for maintaining the model correctness after updating the relationship collection property (i.e. product.Orders it would set the order.Product reference ). But what about support for handling the scenario when some of those Order objects are removed from the context? The use-case of maintaining cascading deletes in the in-memory model. The old Typed DataSet model used to do this by performing the query through the container to derive the relationship results. Like the DataSet, this would require a reference to the ObjectContext inside the entity class so that it could query the top-level Order collection. Better support for Separation of Concerns in the ObjectContext would be required. It looks like EF is not suited to this use-case that DataSets did out of the box.... am I right?

I'm looking for a simple yet efficient way to do this. Here is some important background info: ( It might be a little confusing but hopefully by the end it will make sense. ) 1) This image shows the structure/location of the relevant dirs and files. 2) The packages.file located at ./config/default/config/packages is a space delimited file. field5 is the "package name" which i will call $a for explanations sake. field4 is the name of the dir containing the $a.dir i will call $b field1 shows if the package is selected or not, "X"(capital x) for selected and "O"(capital o as in orange) for not selected. Here is an example of what the packages.file might contain: ... If this is not clear let me know what need clarification. For those interested I'm playing around with T2 SDE. If you are into playing around with linux it might be worth taking a look.

Identify and use a difference highlighting tool that meets the following criteria: • can highlight areas that need to be reviewed • there is a place to enter comments • retains line numbering from code • preference for doing within IDE Issue addressed: Hard to see what was changed in code - changes not identified. Coders do not provide administrators diffs. No tool that does a nice job to identify differences. Daunting/time consuming to provide a good diff. When highlighting differences was provided, loss of line numbers was a substantial issue (was worse).
