  • How to get list of files which are currently being diffed in vim

    I am writing a vim plugin in which i need to determine all those files which are currently being diffed. That is the ones for which diff is set. I have been going through the manual but could not find much. Is it possible to do this. This question is actually related to question how-to-detect-the-position-of-window-in-vim. In that question i was trying to get the position of window, so as to detect which one of the diffs is the right one and which is left one. The solution i got was to use winnr() That solution can work only if there are only 2 windows(the ones being diffed). I want to make it generic so that even if multiple windows are open in vim, i can determine which one is on left and which one is right. This is what i was thinking to solve the problem Get a list of all listed buffers For each of this buffers determine if diff is 1 for that If diff is 1 use bufwinnr() to gets it window number. From the window numbers determine which one is left and which one is right. left one will have smaller window number And then determine if current buffer(in which alt-left`alt-right` is pressed) is left or right using winnr of current buffer. Now the pieces that are missing are 1 and 2. For 1 ls can be used but i need to parse its output. Is there a straightfwd way to get list of all listed buffers. And then is there a way to check if for that buffer diff is 1 or not. Any suggestions for a simpler solution are also appreciated.

  • WCF REST Question, Binding, Configuration

    I am working on a WCF rest interface using json. I have wrapped the service in a windows service to host the service but I am now having trouble getting the service to be callable. I am not sure exactly what is wrong. The basic idea is that I want to host the service on a remote server so I want the service mapped to port localhost:7600 so that it can be invoked by posting data to [server_ip]:7600. The problem is most likely in the configuration file, since I am new to WCF and Rest I wasn't really sure what to type for the configuration so sorry if it's a total mess. Use the XmlInclude or SoapInclude attribute to specify types that are not known statically. I know that adding a [XmlInclude(typeof(C))] attribute with [XmlRoot] would solve the problem. But I want to achieve it dynamically. Because in my project class C is not known prior to loading. Class C is being loaded as a plugin, so it is not possible for me to add XmlInclude attribute there. I tried also with TypeDescriptor.AddAttributes(typeof(AList), new[] { new XmlIncludeAttribute(c.GetType()) }); before var type = typeof (AList); but no use. It is still giving the same exception. Does any one have any idea on how to achieve it?

  • Creating a scm browser for an RCP application.

    I have an RCP app that saves its project as an xml file and currently the user just selections a directory to save that file and then uses the open file dialog to open the project. We are thinking about enhancing it to allow users to check in/out from a source code manager. This will make it easier for users to share their projects with each others with all the benefits of a scm. I need something similar to Subclipses, but i was thinking of using the maven svn plugin so that it is more flexible which on which scm is used. It would probably better to keep it simple because most users won't have a clue what a scm is. An ideal would be just having a Checkout menu option which opens a dialog similar to the Open File dialog. I was wondering if anyone had an example of how to use the maven scm. What calls to make to set the scm location and to get the file? Or if there is a better way of going about this. Thanks!

However, when I unmarshall the actual XML data into the generated classes the data in the wrapper class is not populated - yet JAXB does not throw an exception. My question is: Do I need to change the schema a different way to make this work? Or is there something I can add/change/delete to the generated code or annotations?   • How to get user input before saving a file in Sublime Text

    I'm making a plugin in Sublime Text that prompts the user for a password to encrypt a file before it's saved. There's a hook in the API that's executed before a save is executed, so my naïve implementation is: class TranscryptEventListener(sublime_plugin.EventListener): def on_pre_save(self, view): # If document is set to encode on save if view.settings().get('ON_SAVE'): self.view = view # Prompt user for password message = "Create a Password:" view.window().show_input_panel(message, "", self.on_done, None, None) def on_done(self, password): self.view.run_command("encode", {password": password}) The problem with this is, by the time the input panel appears for the user to enter their password, the document has already been saved (despite the trigger being 'on_pre_save'). Then once the user hits enter, the document is encrypted fine, but the situation is that there's a saved plaintext file, and a modified buffer filled with the encrypted text. So I need to make Sublime Text wait until the user's input the password before carrying out the save. Is there a way to do this? At the moment I'm just manually re-saving once the encryption has been done: def on_pre_save(self, view, encode=False): if view.settings().get('ON_SAVE') and not view.settings().get('ENCODED'): self.view = view message = "Create a Password:" view.window().show_input_panel(message, "", self.on_done, None, None) def on_done(self, password): self.view.run_command("encode", {password": password}) self.view.settings().set('ENCODED', True) self.view.run_command('save') self.view.settings().set('ENCODED', False) but this is messy and if the user cancels the encryption then the plaintext file gets saved, which isn't ideal. Any thoughts? Edit: I think I could do it cleanly by overriding the default save command. I hoped to do this by using the on_text_command or on_window_command triggers, but it seems that the save command doesn't trigger either of these (maybe it's an application command?   • PHP in Wordpress Posts - Is this okay?

    I've been working with some long lists of information and I've come up with a good way to post it in various formats on my wordpress blog posts. I installed the exec-PHP plugin, which allows you to run php in posts. I then created a new table (NEWTABLE) in my wordpress database and filled that table with names, scores, and other stuff. I was then able to use some pretty simple code to display the information in a wordpress post. Below is an example, but you could really do whatever you wanted. My question is - is there a problem with doing this? with security? or memory? I could just type out all the information in each post, but this is really much nicer.   • Debugging a Google Web Toolkit application that has an error when deployed on Google App Engine

    I have a Google Web Toolkit application that I am deploying to Google App Engine. In the deployed application, I am getting a JavaScript error Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'f' of null. This sounds like the JavaScript equivalent of a Java NullPointerException. The problem is that the GWT JavaScript is obfuscated, so it's impossible to debug in the browser and I can't reproduce the same problem in hosted mode where I could use the Java debugger. I think the reason I'm only seeing the error on the deployed application is that the database I'm using on the GAE server is triggering something differently than the test database I'm using during testing and development. So, any ideas about the best way to proceed? I've thought of the following things: Deploy a non-obsfucated version of my application. Despite a lot of Googling, I can't figure out how to do this using the automatic deploy script provided with the Google Eclipse Plugin. Does anyone know? Download and copy my GAE data to the local server Somehow point my development code to use the GAE server for data instead of the local test database. This seems like the best idea... Can anyone suggest how to proceed here? Finally, is there a way to catch these JavaScript errors on the production server and log them somewhere? Without logging, I won't have anyway to know if my users are having errors that don't occur on the server. The GWT.log() function is automatically stripped out of the production code...

    Hi there I have the following XML: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> I need to get the @id from the < page , where a certain value is present in one of the < value -tags. The id that need to be in the < value is kept in this: $itm/@id. This means that if my $itm/@id is equal to 1273, I need to get 1177 returned. I'm not quite sure how to achieve this. Actually I could have XML that looks like this as well: <data> <page id="1118"> <itms> <values> <value>1104</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1177"> <itms> <values> <value>1273</value> <value>1215</value> </values> </itms> </page> <page id="1352"> <itms> <values> <value>1242</value> <value>1273</value> </values> </itms> </page> </data> If that's the case, I need the latest id, so this means that if the $itm/@id matches values in more < page 's, then I need to grab the value from the latest page.     I am expecting output to be an array list filled with all items as "thought" but instead, every time i add a value into arraylist, the previous value in list also gets update with new, hence resulting in duplicates.   • How to design app to be modular / support plugins

    I'm currently in the process of refactoring my webplayer so that we'll be more easily able to run it on our other internet radio stations. Much of the setup between these players will be very similar, however, some will need to have different UI plugins / other plugins. Currently in the webplayer I do something like this in it's init(): _this.ui = new UI(); _this.ui.playlist = new Playlist(); _this.ui.channelDropdown = new ChannelDropdown(); _this.ui.timecode = ne Timecode(); etc etc This works fine but that blocks me into requiring those objects at run time. What I'd like to do is be able to add those based on the stations needs. Basically my question is, do I need to add some kind of "addPlugin()" functionality here? And if I do that, do I need to constantly check from my WebPlayer object if that plugin exists before it attempts to use it? Like... if (_hasPlugin('playlist')) this.plugins.playlist.add(track); I apologize if some of this might not be clear... really trying to get my head wrapped around all of this. I feel I'm closer but I'm still stuck. Any advice on how I should proceed with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Lee

Now inside requestmap table I have all the possible urls and it's equivalent roles who can access that url... Now I want to generate menus and submenus based on the urls stored in requestmap table... So my requirement is to check the urls of menu & submenus against the logged in users privileges... And if logged in user has any one privilege then I need to display that main menu and the available submenus.... For e.g. I have a menu in my project called user which has a following submenus : **Users (main menu)** Manage Users (sub menu) Import Users (sub menu) Now inside my header.gsp I have successfully achieved the above requirement using if else condition, like : if ( privs.contains("/users/manageUsers") || privs.contains("/users/importUsers")) here privs are the list of urls from requestmap table for logged in user. But I want to achieve these using spring security tag lib, so for comparing urls I have find following tag from spring security core documentation : <sec:access url="/users/manageUsers"> But i am bit confuse that how I can replace or condition using tag library.. Is there any tag available which checks from multiple urls and evaluate it to true or false ? Of course I can do using sec:access tag with some flag logic, but is there any tags available which can fulfill my requirement directly ? Thanks in advance...

  • PHP IDE with Integrated Web Server

    Note: This is not another "What is the best PHP IDE?" question. I'm looking for a PHP IDE with a specific feature, namely an integrated / embedded (php enabled) web server; ideally with xdebug pre-bundled. I already know that Aptana 1.5 has this functionality (and some older versions of Zend Studio as well), but Aptana 1.5 hasn't been supported for quite some time and as we make the transition to PHP 5.3 and beyond, it's usefulness will diminish significantly. I've looked at some options including Eclipse PDT and NetBeans, but it seems every PHP IDE relies on a separate local/remote web server to actually interpret the code. I know installing a web server locally is fairly trivial, but this is for a classroom solution, where installing, configuring, and maintaining a web server on 1000 machines is simply not feasible. A remote server solution will also not work due to the need to use debugging functionality (xdebug currently requires a hardcoded IP for the debug client). This seems like such an obvious feature/plugin for a PHP IDE, but my research thus far has turned up no results.

  • Using jQuery with form to eliminate spam

    I have put a form on a web page where the user can send us data. Unfortunately, the webmaster does get a lot of spam through this form and the valid submissions gets buried. I have used captcha to bypass this problem. But I think that everyone would agree that captcha is a big annoyance to users. I switched to another solution: now the URL of the submit form points to null: <form id="sendDataForm" action="/null" method="post"> ... </form> And I bypass the form submission using jQuery excellent form plugin: $('#sendDataForm').ajaxForm({ url: '/ajax-data/' }); Since then, no spam has reached the webmaster, and valid comments gets through. The only drawbacks is that users without javascript cannot send us the form. But since this is on top of a javascript web application, we can safely assume that these are not valid users. My question is: in a world where 99% of users has javascript enabled (and a mechanism for those user could be build that uses captcha), why is this solution not more used? What drawback am I not seeing?
