  • Asp.Net 1 -> Asp.Net 2 upgrade - Machine.Config - unrecognized parameter

    Hi All, I am working on upgrading a web app to asp.net 2 from 1. VS 2008 did its conversion things, and everything is building successfully and has been converted to a web application via the appropriate menu item in VS 2008. On launching the site using the Asp.net development server I am receiving a configuration error on the appsettings line in the machine config of Unrecognized attribute 'restartOnExternalChanges'. The app targets asp.net 2 in the projects properties in VS, and the error page indicates similar : Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:2.0.50727.3053; ASP.NET Version:2.0.50727.3053 The error message seems to indicate I am trying to run this in an asp.net 1 environment, but surely that isnt the case, and if so how do I rectify this.   • VSTO Outlook project

    I currently have an Outlook 2007 VSTO plug-in which needs to write certain values into the registry. I am programmitically downloading and installing a new stationery into Outlook by saving a htm file into the users App Data folder and then updating the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\MailSettings\NewTheme registry key which sets which stationery that is currently in use. So far everything is fine for 2007, but I have checked a PC that is running Outlook 2010, and this registry key is in a different spot. Instead of 12.0 as the version it is 14.0, which makes sense. Is there anyway I can determine what version the plugin is installed in, so that I can write the key based on the correct version in the correct location?!? I haven't been able to find anything on this so far, but surely there is a way..?!? Thanks in advance. Chris

  • How easy is it to hack a plist file in an app store app?

    Don't worry, I'm not trying to hack someone else's app, if that's what you're thinking =). I want to have 2 versions of my app, a free version and a deluxe version. My plan was to use an in-app purchase to enable the deluxe version by setting a boolean value in the plist file. My question is: is this secure or is it easily circumvented? And if it is not secure, can someone suggest a simple alternative? I don't want to download additional content, I would rather keep all of the functionality within the app and enable it somehow.

    On my ubuntu 8.04, I did a gem update --system and now everytime i try to run the gem command line from console, i get the error: /usr/bin/gem:10: undefined method `manage_gems' for Gem:Module (NoMethodError) What's going on? My version of rubygem was very old, but at least it was working before. How do I fix the above problem or roll back to my earlier version?

When I physically install the card I put it into a purple slot on the motherboard that the old card was in (if I go into the device manager and select properties on the current card it confirms that the slot is a "PCI Slot 16 (PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0)") and boot up the computer but get absolutely no output. The screen that we have registers that it is connected to something (by not displaying the screen it does when the cable is unplugged) but just remains blank, no output at all. I recently took the card to my University and one of my friends who is better with hardware issues than I am tried it in his system and it worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever. I do not have a spec list for his system but I could get one if you need it. If you need any more information on this issue I will be happy to supply you with it as I am starting to get very annoyed with this problem ^_^

    I had Ubuntu 8.10. I upgrade it to 9.04. I have Openerp5.0 server/client/web. It worked on 8.10 but not with 9.04. Now when I try to launch my server using: ./openerp-server.py I have this error: ERROR: Import xpath module ERROR: Try to install the old python-xml package It seems that this version of openerp doesn't work with python2.6. Can I redirect openerp to use old version of Python?

But I miss one thing I could do with an older version of awesome (without configuration via Lua): I could add a matcher with the regexp .* to add all windows without another tag to a specific tag: rule { name = ".*" tags = "9" } With that all applications I didn't made another rule for were added to tag 9. How can I do something similar with configuration in rc.lua?

  • Remove files from Bazaar

    I'm using Bazaar (bzr) to keep source code for a website updated, but we've ran into a problem when we remove files from version control. The files we are removing are ones we never intended to version to begin with. When this happens we use bzr rm --keep to remove the file from version control, but keep the file in the file system. Doing a bzr push or bzr pull results in the removed file(s) being removed on the other branches (other sites that use our code) We need a way to make sure that a bzr push or bzr pull doesn't actually remove those from the working copy. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Lotus Notes doesn't open from Dock

    Ever since installing Lotus Notes on my mac I haven't been able to properly access it from the dock. If the program is off then it will open up fine the first time but then clicking on the icon will not make Notes jump to the front of the screen. It is only a minor thing but as it is the only program on my dock that I need to CMD-Tab to access it gets pretty annoying! Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Helo I installed MAMP PRO on my Macbook Pro (10.6) some time ago. Now I would like to use zip functions in php. I found that I must add zip.so to my extension folder and edited php.ini. On my computer I have two different versions of PHP one in MAMP folder and other in user/lib which was pre-installed on my system. Now I wish to compile my zip library for MAMP version. I got zip sources for my version of PHP then in terminal called function /Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/bin/phpize so it uses mamp php version ./configure make then I moved compile zip.so to extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613. When MAMP is launched it returns this error: [11-Apr-2010 16:33:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: zip: Unable to initialize module Module compiled with module API=20090626, debug=0, thread-safety=0 PHP compiled with module API=20060613, debug=0, thread-safety=0 These options need to match in Unknown on line 0 Can some body explain to me how to do this the right way.

  • iPhone Options for reading item from XML?

    I am accessing this data from a web server using NSURL, what I am trying to decide is should I read this as XML or should I just use NSScanner and rip out the [data] bit I need. I have looked around the web for examples of extracting fields from XML on the iPhone but it all seems a bit overkill for what I need. Can anyone make any suggestions or point me in the right direction.     I noticed some (slightly disturbing) differences between the HTML5 and the Java versions of the playN showcase (source). (I just downloaded everything yesterday, so presumably I'm running the latest samples.) Specifically, two flaws I noticed in the HTML5 version: The text on the buttons is quite blurry (not anti-aliased, but actually blurry) compared to the Java version The background in the "Swirl" sample is restricted to one corner of the app; it doesn't cover the entire visible space the way it does in the Java version. Are these bugs, or the expected behaviour?

    I've been trying to install Sass on Gentoo, but it hasn't been going too well. Unfortunately, the latest version of Sass in portage is 3.1.21. What I want to use Sass for requires at least Sass 3.2, which is available through rubygems. What I've tried: emerge dev-ruby/sass (installs an old version) gem install sass The second command appears to install the Sass gem. However, I do not use Rails or Ruby in any other aspect apart from Sass, so the gem appears useless to me. In addition, I do not know where gems are installed to or how to use them (I'm a ruby noob.) All I want to do is call sass from the command line. Are there any ways to obtain an up-to-date version of Sass which I can just use from the command line? Cheers.

  • Downgrading to pyobjc 2.0 from pyobjc 2.2

    I accidentally installed pyobjc 2.2 with easy-install pyobjc, and it's causing problems: When I try to import it I get the error Incompatible library version: _objc.so requires version 10.0.0 or later, but libxml2.2.dylib provides version 9.0.0 I'm not interested in fixing that though, all I want is my pyobjc 2.0 back. I've tried removing pyobjc 2.2 and reinstalling python, and I've tried building 2.0 from the svn trunk (I get the error lipo: can't figure out the architecture of [random filename].out) I imagine there must be a good way of doing this but it escapes me. Any insight would be appreciated. Edit: Python 2.6 and OSX 10.5

  • Java update "Failed to download required installation files."

    On my Windows 7 machine the Java update consistently fails with this error message. This seems to a common problem, does anyone have an insight into what's going wrong, and is there a fix for it other than either disabling the update check (seems a bad idea from a security point of view) or waiting for the nag message and then manually installing the new version (annoying and stupid from a usability point of view). Note that I did install the previous version manually (updating from 6.23 to 6.30 I think?), thinking that might resolve the issue, but no luck.

    Hi. I was able to get Mac OS X 10.6.2 to work on my 64-bit Acer on VirtualBox multiple times, but I would like to update to 10.6.6.
