• Migrating JSF 1.2 to 2.x resulted in java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sun.faces.config.InitFacesContext.cleanupInitMaps

  I'm in process of migrating a JSF 1.2 application to JSF 2.x. My application is using the following APIs: maven-jetty-plugin (version 6.1.10) maven-compiler-plugin (version 2.3.1) myfaces-api & -impl (version 1.2.7) jsf-facelets (version 1.1.14) richfaces (version 3.3.3) javax servlet jstl (version 1.2) javax servlet-api (version 2.5) and some other plugins as well. I updated the versions in faces-config.xml file and removed Facelets 1.1.14 libs and replaced MyFaces 1.2 by JSF 2.x libs, however the application didn't work. • Visual studio 2008 problem

  i am using visual studio team system 2008 and VSS 2005. I took a latest copy of a project from VSS. Now when i try to open that project, it is showing error "This version of visual studio does not support source control" and " Unexpected error enocountered. • Best way to integrate StyleCop with TFS CI

  I've been doing research on how to enable source analysis for the project I'm working on and plan to use StyleCop. The setup I have is a TFS Server for source control, using TFS Continuous Integration. I want to enable source analysis for CI builds and daily builds run on the build machine, and not only for those run on developers' machines. It basically modifies the csproj file for the purpose. • Plastic SCM vs. SVN

  I'm currently researching new source control options for a team of 10 developers. We do .net development in Visual Studio 2008. We currently use VSS for source control. We are looking for a centralized source control solution(non-distributed), with a nice Visual Studio plugin. My manager has recommended Plastic SCM and I've always heard good things about Subversion. I'm trying to decide if we should adopt Subversion or Plastic SCM. There isn't much information out there about Plastic SCM (except what they've written) and I was wondering if it would be a good solution. They make it sound as if branching is much simpler. Subversion on the other hand has a robust, mature community, and it has been thoroughly field tested. What are the pros and cons to these tools? Also are there any other tools that you could suggest? • Could not open Selected VM debug port (8700)

  I am trying to debug the android source using Eclipse by following the instructions found at: http://source.android.com/using-eclipse I have downloaded the source, and gotten it to build. I follow the directions in the link above and everything is fine until I run the ddms command. At this point, if Eclipse is running I get the error 'Could not open Selected VM debug port (8700)'. If I close Eclipse, then ddms runs with no problem, and I can the the processes on the emulator. However, if I now open Eclipse, I get the same error. In any case, no matter what I do, if I attempt to remote debug, it always fails with 'Failed to connect to remote VM'. Any ideas? Thanks

  Hi, On a webserver (shared hosting provider) I published a website with a ADO.Net Framework model in use with MySql Connector 6.3.1. When I request a page, a Security Exception will be happen with this error messages: "LinkDemand The type of the first permission that failed was: System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission The Zone of the assembly that failed was: MyComputer ". This exception raised when code collect the listeners of a tracksource: public class MySqlTrace { private static TraceSource source = new TraceSource("mysql"); static MySqlTrace() { foreach (TraceListener listener in source.Listeners) // <-- Exception throw here { // ... } } } The web.config doesn't have any trace data or system.diagnostics. I have a simple powershell script that just replace text but I found that the regex replace turn my multiline data source into a single line text when the output is produced. I want the line breaks to be preserved. While most of the source code is printed in place, some classes are missing and some are incomplete. The book says on the firest page: The book includes many source code examples that are also available for download from the authors' Web site. Unfortunately this seems to be a lie. Unless either this is not the author's website (the book forgets to mention the authors website adress) or I am blind. Does anyone have the comlete source code for that book preferably in form of a Visual Studio project or knows where I can find it.

The program runs fine on my local computer but gives me pages of errors when I run the program on my remote server using JWS. Here's a sample of the error: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission add2.png read) at java.security.AccessControlContext.checkPermission(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.checkPermission(Unknown Source) at java.lang.SecurityManager.checkPermission(Unknown Source) This occurs even after making sure the images have read access. Ideas?

Customers using the MPL should migrate to Oracle Service Bus. ·         No provided Crystal Reports/Business Objects Interface – Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4.2.0.0.0 or above does not ship with a supported Crystal Reports/Business Objects Interface. This facility is now available as downloadable customization for existing or new customers. Responsibility for maintenance and new features is now individual customer's responsibility. ·         XAI Servlet deprecation – The XAI Servlet (xaiserver and classicxai) will be removed in the next release of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the native Web Services Support as outlined in XAI Best Practices whitepaper available from My Oracle Support (Doc Id: 942074.1). ·         ConfigLab deprecation – The ConfigLab facility will be removed in the next release of Oracle Utilities Application Framework for products it is shipped with.   Hi, I'm trying to use Dojo dnd Source(1.4.2) to create an interface where I can move some objects from a Source to a Target. It is working fine, but I want to change the behaviour in order to execute a check before actually doing the D&D, so if the check fails, an error message is shown to the user, and the D&D is not made. I've tried the following example I found in a blog: dojo.subscribe("/dnd/drop", function(source,nodes,iscopy) { if (nodes[0].id == 'docs_menu'){ dojo.publish("/dnd/cancel"); dojo.dnd.manager().stopDrag(); alert("Drop is not permitted"); } } ); But it fails saying that this.avatar is null. • Parsing error when using getSearchResultsForQuery of MGTwitterEngine
