Oracle VM Server for SPARC enables you to create multiple virtual systems on a single physical system.Each virtual system is called alogical domain and runs its own instance of Oracle Solaris 10 or Oracle Solaris 11. The version of the Oracle Solaris OS software that runs on a guest domain is independent of the Oracle Solaris OS version that runs on the primary domain. So, if you run the Oracle Solaris 10 OS in the primary domain, you can still run the Oracle Solaris 11 OS in a guest domain, and if you run the Oracle Solaris 11 OS in the primary domain, you can still run the Oracle Solaris 10 OS in a guest domain In addition to that starting with the Oracle VM Server for SPARC 2.2 release you can migrate guest domain even if source and target machines have different processor type. You can migrate guest domain from a system with UltraSPARC  T2+ or SPARC T3 CPU to a system with a SPARC T4 CPU.The guest domain on the source and target system must run Solaris 11 In order to enable cross CPU migration.In addition to that you need to change the cpu-arch property value on the source system. • How can I create an SPF record on my 1and1.com hosted domain?

  Emails from my domain (hosted at 1and1, and using Google Apps Premier edition) have sporadically been going to recipients' spam folders lately. I did some research, tested, and found out that I do not have an SPF record for my domain. According to this Google Support page, I need to create one. Following the steps on that page is easy, until I get to #3: Create a TXT record containing this text: v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all I see no way to create a "TXT record". • What about IPv4 class E?

  IPv4's class E network (240.0.0.0/4) contains 268 million addresses. Despite the advertisements for IPv6, claiming we have ran out of address space, this block ironically still claims to be "Reserved for future use". Why hasn't this block been freed up yet? Of course, IPv6 should be promoted instead of freeing up more IPv4 addresses, but we've seen the address shortage coming for years. There has even been a time they weren't sure there was enough time to develop IPv6 before we would run out of addresses. Why didn't they free up this block already? And is there any chance these addresses will be used in the future, like when IPv6 is fairly widely implemented but we still need IPv4 for backwards compatibility? It will be phased out regardless, but then ISPs don't have to employ NAT for IPv4 compatibility.

• Prevent azure subdomain indexation

  Let me explain my situation, I have an azure website (with azurewebsites.net sub domain), and a custom domain.com, built with asp.net MVC Both are being indexed by Google, but I've noticed the custom domain is being penalized and it doesn't show up in results, it only shows when I search for "site:domain.com" I want to remove and block the azurewebsites.net subdomain from Google. I've read the "possible" solutions: Adding robots.txt: won't work, because the subdomain and the domain are the exact same content, so subdomain.azures.net/robots.txt will lead to domain.com/robots.txt, removing the domain as well. Adding the tag, is the same situation as the previous point. I'm using a CNAME register to redirect the domain to the subdomain, so I can't redirect to a sub directory. Do you have any other ideas?

• Allow a web designer to modify DNS without letting them transfer the domain?

  We are in the process of having a web designer create a new website for us, but I don't want to give access to the control panel for the domain names (and have no way to limit it, it seems), while at the same time I don't want to be the go between guy for editing the settings. Is there a way or a service for me to point the domains at a 3rd party DNS system, that I can then give access for the web designer, without worrying that he can find my personal info or try and transfer my domain out?

Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this  message for you.    Please provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator. The following organization rejected your message: servername01.fqdn.com.   Problem: The SharePoint server relay rejects the message because it doesn't recognize the name.  You have set it up in Exchange, but you need to set up an alias in the SMTP service on the SharePoint server;   Solution: Configure an Alias Domain An alias domain is an alias of the default domain. You can set up alias domains that use the same settings as the default domain. Messages that are received by the SMTP Service for an alias domain are placed in the Drop folder that is designated for the default domain. To configure an alias domain, follow these steps: Start IIS Manager or open the IIS snap-in. Expand Server_name, where Server_name is the name of the server, and then expand the SMTP virtual server that you want (for example, Default SMTP Virtual Server). Right-click Domains, point to New, and then click Domain. The New SMTP Domain Wizard starts. Click Alias, and then click Next. Type a name for the alias domain in the Name box, and then click Finish. Quit IIS Manager or close the IIS snap-in.

• Weblogic Class-Path Dependencies EAR

  I am deploying an EAR in a WebLogic node with many jars defined in the bootstrap (startWeblogicServer.bat) class-path. The problem is that my ear and the bootstrap contain different versions of the same jars, not only that but certain jars contain extracted third party libraries which also differ in version from the WebLogic bootstrap jars causing all kinds of classpath errors. I know you can set preferred jars in the EAR application xml but, this can be very tedious to resolve with regards to jars which include extracted third party libraries in terms of understanding all the dependencies.. Is there a correct approach that i need to be taking here? Am i thinking about this in the wrong way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! So far prefer-web-inf-classes has been recommended but wont work because i'm not deploying a WAR, also prefer-application-packages is what we are currently using but still has the issue described above... Anymore advice out there?? Thanks!

• configure postfix to send as different domains

  I have postfix configured to receive mail for multiple domains. The primary domain goes through a standard postfix setup, whereas a secondary domain is handed by a /etc/postfix/virtual.db file which maps addresses for the secondary domain to other unix users. Incoming mail works perfectly, but when I send mail as users on the secondary domain, the mail receiver still sees it as coming from [unix username]@[primarydomain].net. Can anyone help me figure out how to configure the virtual postfix domain to send mail through the same domain it receives it as?

• Howto I get the user domain\username and Display name From SharePoint People Picker InternalId?

  I have been trying to user sharepoint designer to retrieve the user's full name and even the domain\username from the people pucker field but the problem is I tend to get numbers. It looks like the intetrnal Id. In my case I am getting 14 instead of domain\username from the list form's field. Any idea on where I can get the dmain\username or even better the full name? Thanks !! I am using SharePoint Designer and Windows Sharepoint Services 3/SharePoint 2007. Update : I have managed to get the domain\username now. I just had to change the people picker's show field to ID. However now I am getting a weird prefix on my domain\username. I am getting this -1;#domain\username instead of just domain\username. Anybody know how I can overcome this? Thanks !!

• SQL 2008 R2 login/network issue

  I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 new clean install , not a VM, that I have added to a Windows Server 2003 based domain using my account which has domain admin rights. The domain functional level is 2003. I performed a clean install of SQL Server 2008 R2 using my account which has domain admin rights. The installation completed without any errors. I logged into SSMS locally and attempted to add another domain account by clicking Search, Advanced and finding the user in the domain. When I return to the "Dialog - New" window and click OK I receive the following error: Create failed for Login 'Domain\User'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo) An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Windows NT user or group 'Domain\User' not found. Check the name again. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15401) I have verified that the firewall is off, tried adding a different domain user, tried using SA to add a user, installed the hotfix for KB 976494 and verified that the Local Security Policy for Domain Member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel Domain Member: Digitally encrypt secure channel Domain Member: Digitally sign secure channel are disabled none of which have made a difference. I can RDP to a Server 2003 server running SQL 2008 and add the same domain user without issue. Also if I try to connect with SSMS to the sql server from another system on the domain using my account I get the following error: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452) and on the database server I see the following in the security event log: An account failed to log on. Subject: Security ID: NULL SID Account Name: - Account Domain: - Logon ID: 0x0 Logon Type: 3 Account For Which Logon Failed: Security ID: NULL SID Account Name: myUserName Account Domain: MYDOMAIN Failure Information: Failure Reason: An Error occured during Logon.   I'm trying to develop a portable J2ME appli, but Netbeans do a class preverification of LWUIT library that uses optional APIs that some configurations don't have, so I get this error when I try to compile on a configuration without JRS-184 (M3G Optional API): Error preverifying class com.sun.lwuit.animations.Transition3D VERIFIER ERROR com/sun/lwuit/animations/Transition3D.initTransition()V: Cannot find class javax/microedition/m3g/Node I don't want to remove the classes from the LWUIT API because that classes works on other configurations compatibles with JRS-184 What I want is that NetBeans do not preverify the library, It is posible?   I am using tolua++ to export some C++ classes to Lua. My understanding that each class is 'implemented' on the lua side, as a lua table. I am wondering if it is possible therefore, to add new (Lua) methods to the C++ object table so that I can achieve the effect of adding new methods to the C++ class. Assume that I am exporting the class Foobar. Methods of Foobar will be accessisble in Lua as follows: Foobar:method1() Foobar:method2() ... etc. I would like to be able to add new methods (newmethod1, and newmethod2) to the Foobar table "object" I have the following questions: Is it possible to 'extend' the functionality of an exported C++ object in the manner I described above? How would one go about add new functions to the Foobar table? (I am relatively new to Lua)

  I am trying to process with Proguard a MS Windows desktop application (Java 6 SE using the SWT lib provided by Eclipse). I've decided to implement each of these connection types as a class inherited from an interface I called iConnection. So, for example, I have TextConnection, MySQLConnection, &c... as classes. In another static class I've got a dictionary with human-readable names for these connections as keys. For the value of each dictionary entry, I want the class itself. That way, I can do things like: newConnection = new dict[connectionTypeString](); Is there a way to do something like this? I'm fairly new to C# so I'd appreciate any help.

  I have a simple class that defines some constants, e.g.: module Foo class Bar BAZ = "bof" ... Everything is puppies and rainbows until I tell Rake to run all my Test::Unit tests. When it does, I get warnings: bar.rb:3: warning: already initialized constant BAZ My habit has been to avoid these warnings by making the constant initialization conditional, e.g.: ... BAZ = "bof" unless const_defined? :BAZ ... This seems to solve the problem, but it is a little tedious, and I don't ever see anyone else initializing constants this way. This makes me think I might be Doing It Wrong. Is there a better way to initialize constants that won't generate warnings?

  I have page with a LinkButton on it that when clicked, I'd like to add a Usercontrol to the page. I need to be able to add/remove as many controls as the user would like. The Usercontrol consists of three dropdownlists. The first dropdownlist has it's auotpostback property set to true and hooks up the OnSelectedIndexChanged event that when fired will load the remaining two dropdownlists with the appropriate values. My problem is that no matter where I put the code in the host page, the usercontrol is not being loaded properly. I know I have to recreate the usercontrols on every postback and I've created a method that is being executed in the hosting pages OnPreInit method. I'm still getting the following error: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases. • Call a protected method from outside a class in PHP

  I have a very special case in which I need to call a protected method from outside a class. I am very conscious about what I do programmingwise, but I would not be entirely opposed to doing so in this one special case I have. In all other cases, I need to continue disallowing access to the internal method, and so I would like to keep the method protected. What are some elegant ways to access a protected method outside of a class? So far, I've found this. I suppose it may be possible create some kind of double-agent instance of the target class that would sneakily provide access to the internals...
