    In our cluster, RedHat4 & 5 machines, if someone locks the computer and walks away no body can use it. Is there a feature in RedHat5, Gnome, KDE etc that would allow for the option of switching users at the lock screen, so more than one person can be logged in? Thanks, rd42

  • oracle apphelp.dll not working properly/crash

    hi all, i've been reinstalling my oracle and somehow when im trying to start them, it says that apphelp.dll is missing. when i lookup in c:/window/systems32 the apphelp.dll was there. i also download new from internet and try to replace them in case it crash but it said that i cannot delete the file coz it's still running. my question is, if i was doing the right thing by replacing the apphelp.dll can solve my problem, how can i stop this apphelp.dll? thanks

  • How can I expand my current setup?

    I currently have an HTTP server running on a single machine (it runs Ubuntu Server Edition, if that helps). In the past that has been sufficient, but as traffic has grown I have begun to need more power and storage space. I have a second machine, and have installed Ubuntu Server Edition on it. How do I get the two to run in unison? How is this usually done in professional setups? Thanks, your answers are appreciated.

    Hi, I had Windows vista premium on HP pavilion desktop. I split disk for ubuntu and make also swap disk part and then i install ubuntu 10.04. To the enterence of my computer after installation i have menu that i can to choose between windows or ubuntu. Today I reistall my windows, but choose menu disapear. I dont see in windows the rdisk part that I give to Ubuntu, soo its mean ubuntu still exist but i cant enter to him. Please help me, Thanks

    I'm trying to set up a shared filesystem on EC2 and I've read tutorials such as this: http://blog.ronaldmccollam.com/2012/07/configuring-nfs-on-ubuntu-in-amazon-ec2.html In step 2 it talks about configuring the exports, for this I need an IP range but when I'm auto-scaling I can't predict what the IP will be before it scales.     Hi Everyone, Is it possible to somehow setup an ssh server that doesn't require a username,password or cert to login? If that's not possible, if I were to give all customers the same public key, would each connection be encrypted individually? (i.e. user A coudn't decrypt the payload of user B's connection) I wish to provide access to a single program, which will prompt for a username and password. Encryption is essential though, and users must not be able to snoop in on each other Thanks

    I have the following backup batch file: xcopy C:\test.txt \server\Data\user\"data test" /e /y /i The issue is why does it not only copy the file listed but proceeds to copy the whole root directory? When i remove the switches it only copies the file. There is nothing in the description of those switches that seems to cause the behavior... They are there because I'm picking up where someone else left and all the batch files use these 3 switches. Thanks

    Our school's VLE has a few problems when running in IE8/IE9's Compatibility View. Mainly it causes difficulties with uploading files. This problem is easily remedied by un-ticking the Display intranet sites in Compatibility View option from Internet Explorer's Compatibility View options. However, I'm unable to find a way of doing this en masse. I can't find anything regarding this in GPO - would a registry hack or similar do the trick? Thanks in advance,
