    I'm having trouble trying to use Volley's NetworkImageView with an InfoWindow of Google Maps API v2. My markers shows an InfoWindow with an image fetched from the internet. As you know, the only way to do this is to show the InfoWindow and refresh it when finished downloading the image. So I need a way to know when the NetworkImageView have finished downloading the image so I can refresh that view. I'm looking for something like onLoadComplete Any ideas?

  • XML Table layout? Two EQUAL-width rows filled with equally width buttons??

    Hi heres a part from my XML for LAND format: <TableLayout android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center" android:stretchColumns="*"> <TableRow> <Button android:id="@+id/countbutton" android:text="@string/plus1"/> <Button android:id="@+id/resetbutton" android:text="@string/reset" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout> And now what I dont get - the WIDTH of one row and also of the button depends on the TEXT inside the button. If the both texts are equaly long lets say : TEXT its ok - the table half is in the middle of the screen. But if they have different size - lets say "A" and "THIS IS THE LONG BUTTON" the CENTER of the table isnt in the middle of the screen anymore and so the buttons are not equally width...   • ESXi 4 failed to find boot device

    I had exsi 3.5 running just fine, the upgrade to 4 failed ( i thought it would so everything is backed up ). but it did boot just could not import the data store So i did a fresh install of ESXi 4. Now it says failed to find boot device. Not sure why. i have wiped the disk, the controller is a adaptec 3405, it worked fine in 3.5 and when i upgrade to 4 it did boot. Now it just hangs at loading vfat. then the failed to find boot device. Any ideas?

  • Admob ads will not display when placed inside a tabview

    I've been trying to get my ads to display in this type of layout. Tabs - LinearLayout - ListView - header. The header is set via addHeaderView and is displaying normally. If I were to move the ads anywhere else they display normally (so its not a setup issue). Using ads in the header of a listview works fine in my other projects. So this seems to be a very specific problem, the ads simply refuse to display when placed in the header of a listview inside a tabhost. My logs show no activity from admob at all. There is either a bug here or limitation of the sdk. Does anyone have any experience or insight into this issue? EDIT I found the solution. It actually had to do with padding that was in the root of my Tabview. For more checkout my answer here

I use: startService(new Intent(ClassName.this, ClassName2.class)); stopService(new Intent(ClassName.this, ClassName2.class)); This means I will have to somehow add the 'stopService()' for 7+ of my app classes I've researched this topic and I think there's 'onTerminate' but still not sure how this should be implemented.     I'm building a dialog class which inherits from Dialog, and all internal UI is programmatic. It's structured in the following way: Dialog +LinearLayout ++TextView ++ScrollView +++LinearLayout ++++ListView Unfortunately, when I show() the Dialog, it's too short. I'd like it to maximize and cover as much of the screen as possible, but only when there are enough items in the ListView to warrant it. I haven't found my answer in the docs, and I haven't been able to get it to work by setting WRAP_CONTENT as layout parameters, or setting heights manually. What is the proper way to approach this? But the layout holds parent elements, and when I click on those the click is not recognized. How do I make a full row/view of ViewStub as whole to be clickable and highlightable like a ListView elements? Also what do I have to add to get that orange highlight?

    If I go to Sound Recording Devices and it says "No audio devices are installed" If I click to set up a microphone I get an error "Wizard could not launch, No audio input device found, make sure your audio hardware is working properly and check your audio configuration in the Audio Devices and Sound Themes control panel. Where can I get an audio input device? I just want something so I can actually use the microphone on my headset. This is ridiculous. I have tried to look for any file but I simply cannot find a way to add an audio input device... I really do not want to format my computer just for this problem but I am starting to feel like that is the only option I have. I have the latest chipsets

  • Deleting items from a ListView using a custom BaseAdapter

    I am using a customised BaseAdapter to display items on a ListView. The items are just strings held in an ArrayList. The list items have a delete button on them (big red X), and I'd like to remove the item from the ArrayList, and notify the ListView to update itself. However, every implementation I've tried gets mysterious position numbers given to it, so for example clicking item 2's delete button will delete item 5's. It seems to be almost entirely random. One thing to note is that elements may be repeated, but must be kept in the same order. For example, I can have "Irish" twice, as elements 3 and 7. Any suggestions appreciated, this is really irritating me.
