    I have got @Remote EJB on JBoss AS 7, available by name java:global/RandomEjb/DefaultRemoteRandom!pl.lechglowiak.ejbTest.RemoteRandom. Standalone client is Spring application that uses <jee:remote-slsb> bean. When trying to use that bean I get java.lang.IllegalStateException: EJBCLIENT000025: No EJB receiver available for handling [appName:, moduleName:RandomEjb, distinctName:] combination for invocation context org.jboss.ejb.client.EJBClientInvocationContext@1a89031.   • Is it possible to override the default logging for Glassfish v3?

    Related to this question. It appears that Glassfish is exporting slf4j into my application and overriding my logging solution. Is it possible for me to override Glassfish's logging and have my own logging solution take precedence? After searching, I have only found ways to modify the log using logging.properties. I am not married to my current implementation, but I am interested in making it work. thanks.

  • jQuery CSS plugin that returns computed style of element to pseudo clone that element?

    I'm looking for a way using jQuery to return an object of computed styles for the 1st matched element. I could then pass this object to another call of jQuery's css method. For example, with width, I can do the following to make the 2 divs have the same width: $('#div2').width($('#div1').width()); It would be nice if I could make a text input look like an existing span: $('#input1').css($('#span1').css()); where .css() with no argument returns an object that can be passed to .css(obj). (I can't find a jQuery plugin for this, but it seems like it should exist. If it doesn't exist, I'll turn mine below into a plugin and post it with all the properties that I use.) Basically, I want to pseudo clone certain elements but use a different tag. For example, I have an li element that I want to hide and put an input element over it that looks the same. When the user types, it looks like they are editing the element inline. I'm also open to other approaches for this pseudo cloning problem for editing. Any suggestions? Here's what I currently have. The only problem is just getting all the possible styles. It works well and behaves exactly like the original css method with one exception: if 0 args are passed, it returns the computed style object. As you can see, it immediately calls the original css method if that's the case that applies. Otherwise, it gets the computed styles of all the listed properties (gathered from Firebug's computed style list). Although it's getting a long list of values, it's quite fast. Hope it's useful to others.

  • Eclipse: How to convert a web project into an AspectJ project and weave and run it using the AJDT pl

    What I want to do: I want to use the @Configured annotation with Spring. It requires AspectJ to be enabled. I thought that using the AJDT plugin for compile time weaving would solve this problem. Before installing the plug in the dependencies which were supposed to be injected into my @Configured object remained null. What I have done: Installed the AJDT: AspectJ Development Tools plug in for Eclipse 3.4. Right clicked on my web project and converted it into a AspectJ project. Enabled compile time weaving. What doesn't work: When I start the Tomcat 6 server now, I get an exception*. Other information: I haven't configured anything in the AspectJ Build and AspectJ Compiler parts of the project properties. JDT Weaving under Preferences says weaving is enabled. I still have Java build path and Java Compiler under project properties. And they look like I previously configured them (while the above two new entries are not configured). The icon of my @Configured object file looks like any other file (i.e. no indication of any aspect or such, which I think there should be). The file name is MailNotification.java (and not .aj), but I guess it should still work as I'm using a Spring annotation for AspectJ? I haven't found any tutorial or similar which teaches: How to turn a Spring web application project into an AspectJ project and weave aspects into the files using the AJDT plugin, all within Eclipse 3.4. If there is anything like that out there I would be very interested in knowing about it. What I would like to know: Where to go from here? I just want to use the @Configured annotation of Spring. I'm also using @Transactional which I think also needs AspectJ. If it is possible I would like to study AspectJ as little as possible as long as my needs are met.   • Build Issue with multi module project

    Hi, I have a multi module web project. Four modules of the project are packaged as jar and added as dependency to the fifth module, which is packaged as war. When it is time to deploy the application i just run package on the war project and my war is created with all the dependencies. Now there is a problem. One of the my module have heavy changes. Now when i created war for my projects these changes was not reflected in the output war file(the jar in lib folder of war has still the old code). Can you please point the things i am missing from the release process? Why the old code is being packaged with the war?     Following the posted instructions for Eclipse 3.6.1 Classic and Android SDK, ADT (where OS 2.3 is the most current) misses a few steps. Everything seems to work up until the point of loading the ADT in Eclipse. Prior to doing this add the following dependency sites to the list and enable them so that the ADT installer will pickup all the dependencies (thanks MissKaho for the concise list).   • C# Putting the required DLLs somewhere other than the root of the output

    I am using EmguCV for a project and when our program runs it needs some dlls like "cxcore.dll" etc. (or it throws runtime exceptions). At the moment, I put the files in the root of the output folder (selected "Copy Always" in the file's properties in Visual Studio). However it looks a bit messy, to have about 10 different dlls just there. Is there someway where I can move it to a subfolder in the output folder and it'll still find it.

  • asp.net rangevalidator for calendar extender entries gives problems in safari

    Hi there, I have the following scenario: arrival and departure dates have to be selected on a form, through 2 textboxes with a calendar extender each. I validate the entries to check that no date before today is selected and to check that the departure is after the arrival. I used a rangevalidator and a comparevalidator. In IE, Firefox and Opera it is working fine, in Safari (on windows) however both the validators go off even on entries that should be accepted. It makes me suspect that the date format dd/MM/yyyy causes trouble for Safari. (the dd/MMMM/yyyy also gave the same troubles in the other browsers, probably due to the dependency on UIculture) The code is:   The range validator gets its values in code behind on Page_load RangeValidator1.MinimumValue = DateTime.Now.AddDays(1).ToShortDateString(); RangeValidator1.MaximumValue = DateTime.Now.AddMonths(12).ToShortDateString(); Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve this problem with safari? best regards, Robin

  • Silverlight Dataform validation doesn't work

    Hi I can't get dataform and it's controls to catch exceptions when validating. Fir instance, I have: <PasswordBox Password="{Binding Password,Mode=TwoWay,NotifyOnValidationError=true,ValidatesOnExceptions=true}" /> All required properties are set to true. In the setter of my Password property I throw a ValidationException upon failed validation, but the data form doesn't catch it, it just causes the application to crash as if it were a normal exception. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

But the instances of Label will not get its data members fill in. I have also tried to do this using plain variables (not properties). If they were filled in, the image would actually show "3" and "Text rad 1". So what do I put in the class "Label" to have the properties right? Should there be some kind of annotation? Where do I read about this?

    Let's say I have a MyClass class, with various methods, and let's say that method MyClass.A() calls methods MyClass.B() which calls MyClass.C(). Method MyClass.A() also calls MyClass.D() which also calls MyClass.C() and so on :) Is there any tool to visualize this as a diagram? UPD. I see NDepend can do what I need but it costs too much when I just need to build methods dependency graph and trial limitations are too big (I can't zoom the graph and I can't see anything on a small resulted graph without being able to zoom). So, I'm still looking for alternatives - it should be free or not expensive tool.

  • What makes MVVM uniquely suited to WPF?

    The Model-View-ViewModel is very popular with WPF and Silverlight. I've been using this for my most recent projects, and am a very large fan. I understand that it's a refinement of MVP. However, I am wondering exactly what unique characteristics of WPF (and Silverlight) allow MVVM to work, and prevent (or at least make difficult) this pattern from working using other frameworks or technologies. I know MVVM has a strong dependency on the powerful data binding technology within WPF. This is the one feature which many articles and blogs seem to mention as being the key to WPF providing the means of the strong separation of View from ViewModel. However, data binding exists in many forms in other UI frameworks. There are even projects like Truss that provide WPF-style databinding to POCO in .NET. What features, other than data binding, make WPF and Silverlight uniquely suited to Model-View-ViewModel?
