    i develop a app using struts2, spring 3.1, Jpa2 and Hibernate.   • DirectAccess client can't connect

    I've set up a DirectAccess server on Windows Server 2012 at my workplace. I'm using a Windows 8 Enterprise client to connect to it. It works fine over a mobile connection, but it fails when connecting from home. I've ruled out the firewall/router as the culprit as the issues persist when connecting the laptop directly to the cable modem. I'm not sure where to begin to debug this, does anyone have any pointers? Both Teredo and IPHTTPS interfaces are up (although as the server is behind a NAT and we only have 1 public IP I understand that IPHTTPS is the only protocol that will be used).     We just got in a pair of Force10 S4810s and are getting tripped up on what should be a very basic configuration step. The S4810 has a gigabit copper management port (though ultimately we'd like to not use that and just trunk in a management vlan). We followed the configuration commands verbatim from a rapid config guide and keep getting a weird error.     I'm tying to (learn how to) install Oracle RAC 11g on CentOS 6 all went OK so far but I get INS-40719 Error message regarding SCAN Name I do not have DNS server and I'm not going to try to use it on this setup I add this line to /etc/hosts 192.168.244.100 rac-cluster then used "rac-cluster" as the SCAN name and it's still not working with the same error message! any one can guide me on how to make it work? 1- do I have to add "192.168.244.100 rac-cluster" to /etc/hosts on both nodes? 2- do I need to edit/add any thing else on the nodes? cheers

    I have an HP MediaSmart EX485. I'm attempting to install Vail on it with a USB flash drive and this guide: http://www.mediasmartserver.net/2010/04/26/how-to-install-windows-home-server-vail-on-the-hp-mediasmart-server/. I'm having issues getting the server to boot from the USB flash drive. The MediaSmart itself being headless doesn't help matters. The flash drive has an LED on it for disk activity, and I'm able to see that it's detected when the server is powered on, but it's definitely not booting from it. Any ideas?

    My cousin got (legally) a laptop model HP Pavilion G4 1303AU from the government of my state. The laptop dual-boots Ubuntu and Windows 7. Everything is great except the BIOS logo at boot which I would like to change but don't know how to. I tried to flash a new BIOS firmware, but this didn't change the logo. I found this link for the same model and the same problem, but no success there either. Also I saw this blog post which wasn't helpful, except for this comment that mentioned an image in .ROM format. Not wishing to decompile and recompile the BIOS, can someone help me out with a step by step guide ?

  • CertMgr fails trying to import an SPC file

    We have an SPC files which came with the Cisco IP Communicator installer. It needs to be imported into the localMachine ROOT store. However, which the certmgr.exe is run against this SPC file, it errors out. Doesn't matter if it's run from within the installer or manually. The commands I've tried using are: certmgr.exe -add -all CDPcredentials.spc -s -r localMachine root The result displayed is: Error: Failed to save to the destination store CertMgr Failed There is no other information, no log file, nothing in the eventviewer. I's almost as if the ROOT store is in a read-only state. I would also like to point out that I'm able to import single certificates. Just not an SPC files, which contains multiple certificates. I have also tried different versions of the CertMgr utility. Running on Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have configured the security group of the database instance (default) to accept my IP address. I am following the connection guide from amazon located here The error I receive is: Cannot connect to databaseName.c***rnqg***v.us-east-1.rds.amazonaws.com,1433. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.     Running Windows Server 2008 Standard R2, SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, Team Foundation Server 2010, I installed Sharepoint Server 2010 (single server). It installed correctly, and the wizard configured it without errors. When accessing the sharepoint server through http://localhost/ I get a 404 error. I also get a 404 when trying to access the admin interface on port 42620. Sharepoint, TFS and Reporting services are the only application on my IIS. NOT sharing the same port, so that can't be the error. Do you have any ideas what the problem can be? Is there some way that I can debug this?

    previously we have requested a wildcard ssl certificate from godaddy for our major domain. one of the reasons was the new established exchange server 2010. usually you require following names included in certificiate: FQDN (e.g. mail.whatever.com) Hostname (mail) Domain name (whatever.com) Autodiscover.whatever.com MX Record with the wildcard certificate these are all covered (except of the local hostname). During creation/importing of the ssl certificate into exchange 2010, exchange first asks, if a wildcard certificate is used and then encounters an error - due to the certificate is a wildcard certificate and not a certificate especially generated for the FQDN, SSL for POP and IMAP can not be provided. couldn't find any workaround or solution for this on google, so I hope, maybe some one here has an answer or solution for me! :) the exchange 2010 is running on a windows server 2008 R2 enterprise. thanks in advance and best regards, sise

    When I try to run this command : rpmbuild -bb SPECS/software.spec I get an error when the WAR file (as in tomcat java web archive file) is being added to the rpm: error: create archive failed on file /<filepath>/<filename>.war: cpio: Bad magic This didn't use to happen. The only things that have changed since this worked was an upgrade. Further, no problems are happening like it on my CentOS 5 box. I compile and build the exact same code set on both machines, but CentOS 6 won't create an rpm. How do I troubleshoot this? I have already googled it and received few (if any) useful links. This appears nowhere in the user guide for RPM as far as I can see, and Maximum RPM has no section on this.

    After some help diagnosing why Exchange 2010 Enterprise stops responding to SMTP events. I can't find a pattern to it. It doesn't appear to be an actual timeout, as the server responds immediately with the error. To reproduce it I telnet into the server on port 25 and issue a EHLO. The server immediately replies with the 421: 421 4.4.1 Connection timed out Once this starts happening I've found restarting the exchange box is the only reliable way to get it flowing again. Sometimes restarting the Transport service or the mailbox attendant service seems to fix it, but this could be coincidental as it often has no effect.

I was just in the RightFax Enterprise Fax Manager resolving another problem and noticed 2 little red exclamation marks in the lower left hand pane. I have one beside "Available disk space for fax images" and one beside "Available disk space for fax database". Both are labeled with 5%? What is this? How can this be resolved? I have plenty of physical storage left on the server drives so I am curious as to which space it is referring to??

There is no problems with the server in its day to day functions but i am getting a Warning in the Event Log every 5 minutes with the following: Windows System Resource Manager encountered the following error 0x80010117. User Name will not be logged in the subsequent event logs. Error 0x80010117 User Action Address the error condition, and then try again. This has been happening for over 2 weeks now and i cannot find anything online to help! If i could have some help, then it would much appreciated. Thanks

    I am trying to run Tally ERP 9 (http://www.tallysolutions.com/), post-installation in wine 1.7. I am getting an "out of memory" error, the moment it starts(at the tally splash screen). I then have no option other than to close it. OS: Xubuntu 12.04.3 Wine: 1.6\1.7.9 How have I installed: Inserted the Tally Installation CD, clicked on the tally installer executable. Installed by following the setup. Configured for multi-user, client configuration. Server is at a specified LAN address running on Windows. Then once installation is done. Clicked on the executable/ran from command line for tally.exe Please guide.

    Just a few days ago, Adobe Reader XI and Acrobat X stopped opening. When I try to open a pdf or either one of these programs the cursor would show a busy icon for a few seconds and stop. Each time I open it a process will show up in task manager, but no window will open. I have tried these things, but none will work Restarting the computer Running as Administrator Repairing the installation Reinstalling Following this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html When I ran acrofix it returned exit code 3 Also I have seen this, but I am not running tune up: Adobe Reader XI will not launch I am running windows 7 ultimate x64.   • Windows 2008 R2 DHCP server not responding to DHCP discover

    I've got two Windows 2008 Enterprise R2 servers both running DNS and DHCP called cod & lobster. DHCP is setup using the split scope option introduced with 2008 R2, whereby both servers should respond with the first response providing the lease. Setup is as follows: Cod - IP: 192.168.0.231 - Pool: 192.168.0.101 - 192.168.0.179, exclusion for 160-179. - Response Delay: 0ms - Authorised in Active Directory (Re-authorised to confirm) - Windows firewall disabled while testing Lobster - IP: 192.168.0.232 - Pool: 192.168.0.101 - 192.168.0.179, exclusion for 101-159. - Response Delay: 1000ms - Authorised in Active Directory All DHCP leases to clients are currently being issues by Lobster rather than Cod. Packet captures with Wireshark show the following (all to broadcast address): Client - DHCP Discover Lobster - DHCP Offer (after 1s delay) Client - DHCP Request Lobster - DHCP Ack Client - DHCP Inform From my setup with two servers I'd expect to see a DHCP Offer coming from Cod almost immediately after the DHCP Discover. Does anybody have any idea what would prevent the DHCP Server responding to the discover?

  • How to set a management IP on a Dell powerconnect 5524/5548 switch?

    When you first power on a 5524, connected via the serial console, you are offered a setup wizard where you can enter the management IP/Net/Gateway and enter the admin password. HOWEVER, if you dont do this in 60 seconds, the wizard dissapears, and there seems to be no way to run it again - even if you reboot the box. No commands work in the CLI, it just gives you this prompt: If you type say enable, or login, it gives: >login Unknown parameter May be one from the following list: debug help So no commands seem to work. The CLI reference guide does not seem to have any way to run the wizard, or to set the management port or admin passwords. So by not responding in 60 secons after boot, the unit is bricked. Any ideas?

No multiple users or client remote access is needed Now during 'remote desktop services' role installation network admin accidentally selected 'per user/device' licensing mode. Because of which now 120 days free try period is ticking. Since only administrator is going to access this server remotely we need to have 'Remote control for administrators' licensing mode (like windows 2003) on it. How we can change licensing mode from 'per user/device' to 'Remote control for administrators' on 2008 server? Also will it be possible to do this change remotely using RDC session itself? or do i need to change it using physical console (if remote access is gonna be disabled during switch)?

  • Windows Server 2012 IPAM feature - "Unblock IPAM Access" error/recomended action

    So, I'm in the process of setting up an IP Address Management server, using the built-in IPAM feature in Server 2012, and have run into a problem that I'm hoping someone else has successfully solved. Following the technet guide here, I've installed and configured IPAM, and have provisioned it via GPO. After verifying that the PowerShell invoke-ipamgpoprovisioning command is successful, managing the desired servers in IPAM, running gpupdate /force on the servers and refreshing my view in IPAM, I'm still getting the less-than-useful recommended action of "Unblock IPAM Access" for all servers. (First done 3 hours ago, so it's not a give-it-time-to-propagate issue.) Can't, for the life of me, seem to figure out what's causing this, find anything useful in the logs, or find much about this on Google or in the help files, so I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas about how to fix this, or even where to start looking. I'd really like to get this working, because if not, I have to resume work on creating an Excel spreadsheet for IP address management.
