  For the life of me, I can not get this to work. I can get MouseEnter, MouseLeave, and Click events to fire, but not MouseLeftButtonDown or MouseLeftButtonUp.   Fairly new to the Google Maps Api. I've got an array of data that I want to cycle through and plot on a map. Seems fairly simple, but all the multi-marker tutorials I have found are quite complex.   I’m buried in multithreading / parallelism documents, trying to figure out how to implement a threading implementation in a programming language I’ve been designing. I’m trying to map a mental model to the pthreads.h library, but I’m having trouble with one thing: I need my interpreter instances to continue to exist after they complete interpretation of a routine (the language’s closure/function data type), because I want to later assign other routines to them for interpretation, thus saving me the thread and interpreter setup/teardown time. This would be fine, except that pthread_join(3) requires that I call pthread_exit(3) to ‘unblock’ the original thread. How can I block the original thread (when it needs the result of executing the routine), and then unblock it when interpretation of the child routine is complete?

  By the subject line it seems to be a rather broad subject and I need some help here. Basically what I want is to use ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider with an ADAM instance to authenticate users in an ASP.NET web application. My development environment is a windows 7 machine with an AD LDS instance on it whilst the QA server is a Windows 2003 server with an ADAM instance on it. I have all the required users on both instances plus one with adminsitrator role (CN=Admin,CN=xxx,DC=xxx,C=xx) which I want to use as the connection user. Using connectonProtecton="None" connectionUsername="CN=Admin,CN=xxx,DC=xxx,C=xx" connectionPassword="xxx" I am able to authenticate on both environments (dev & qa). If I change to the connectionProtection to "Secure" I am not able to authenticate anymore; the error I get is "Parser Error Message: Unable to establish secure connection with the server" To me it sounds wrong to use connectionProtection="None" although I found on the net a lot of samples using this setting. Can I use connectionProtection="Secure" to connect to an ADAM instance using an account defined on that instance having Administrator role? What other choices do I have (like using an domain account)? What if my machine where I am to deploy the application is not a part of the domain, will this affect in any way the behavior? I am novice in the respect so I would really appreciate some clear answers or some directions as where to look? Now beside the "signing in" feature of the ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider I also want to add an extra one, which is setting the password without knowing the old one (something that will be used by a "reset password" feature). So I added a couple of extension methods to the provider, and used System.DirectoryServices classes like DirectoryEntry and the like. When creating a directory entry I use the same credentials provided in web.config for the provider minus the AuthenticationType as I don't know what is right combination of the flags that corresponds to None/Secure. I am able to use Invoke "SetPassword" with ADS_OPTION_PASSWORD_METHOD option as ADS_PASSWORD_ENCODE_CLEAR on my dev machine (w/ AD LDS instance); nevertheless on qa environment (w/ ADAM instance) I am getting an error like "Exception Details: System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException: An operations error occurred. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072020)" I am quite sure it is not about AD LDS vs ADAM but probably another configuration / permission issue. So can anyone help me with some hints on how to use this SetPassword feature? And as a general question what are the best practices when it comes to using ADAM regarding security, programming etc? Could anyone be kind enough to tell me if I can use GoogleMaps with the JXMap viewer? I know that Google has recently allowed desktop applications to use their static maps provided that the application is freely accessible to people on some website. If this can be done, I would appreciate some pointer to where I could start looking so that I can use Google Maps, I tried messing around with this but to no avail. Thanks in advance. Edit: I have managed to show a map in my JXMapKit. The only problem is that I am getting the image as a tiled image, whilst I only need one. Any help on this issue?

I tried changing following line in markerclusterer.js ClusterMarker_.prototype = new GOverlay(); with ClusterMarker_.prototype = new GMarker(); so that I can get the openInfoWindow() function in the clustermarker, but that didnt worked out.   I have built a Qt application which uses the MySQL library, but I am confused by the documentation on static versus shared builds. From the Qt documentation at http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment-windows.html it says: To deploy plugin-based applications we should use the shared library approach. And on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/deployment.html, it says: Static linking results in a stand-alone executable. The advantage is that you will only have a few files to deploy. The disadvantages are that the executables are large and with no flexibility and that you cannot deploy plugins. To deploy plugin-based applications, you can use the shared library approach. But on http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/plugins-howto.html, it seems to say the opposite, giving directions on how to use static plugins: Plugins can be linked statically against your application. If you build the static version of Qt, this is the only option for including Qt's predefined plugins. Using static plugins makes the deployment less error-prone, but has the disadvantage that no functionality from plugins can be added without a complete rebuild and redistribution of the application. ... To link statically against those plugins, you need to use the Q_IMPORT_PLUGIN() macro in your application and you need to add the required plugins to your build using QTPLUGIN. I want to build the Qt libraries statically (for easy deployment) and then use the static MySQL plugin. To do this, I did NOT use the binary distrubtion for Windows. I would NOT need to build the Mysql Plugin from source separately, correct? If I was to subtitute "-qt-sql-mysql" for "-plugin-sql-mysql" in above, it would include the MySQL driver directly in the QT static libraries, in which case I would NOT need to use the plugin at all, correct?   Hello ! I'm trying to extract some information from a webpage using php cURL+preg_match or any other function but for some reasons it doesn't work at all . For example from this page http://www.foxtons.co.uk/search?location_ids=1001-29&property_id=712128&search_form=map&search_type=LL&submit_type=search I want to extract the title which is "4 bed house to rent, Caroline Place, Bayswater, W2", the price which is "2,300" and the description which starts at "This fantastic..." and ends at "(Circle and District Lines). " I tried to use php cURL + dom but I'm getting a lot of errors like this "htmlParseEntityRef: expecting ';' in Entity, line: 243" and no result displayed Also I tried to use preg_match or preg_match_all but doesn't work either . A very basic example would be highly appreciated ! thank you !

E.g If I have a Contact Table which has 50 Columns and in few of the related entities I might be interested in FirstName and LastName property is it a good idea to create a lightweight version of Contact table.   Instead of google maps api's default info window, I'm going to use other jquery tooltip plugin over marker. So I need to get marker's DIV and its pixel position. But couldn't get it because there are no id or class for certain marker. Only I can access map canvas div from marker object and undocumented pixelBounds object. How can I access marker's DIV? Where can I get DIV's pixel position? Can I convert lat-lng position to pixel values?

  I am using the Intelligencia URL rewriter in my asp.net web application. I use the web.config mappings I'm trying to map the following url: www.mydomain.com/product-deals/manufacturer-model_PRODUCTId.aspx To: www.mydomain.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productID=xxx obviously in the above example, xxx is replaced from the "productId" from the "friendly" url. In my web.config, I've got so far: <rewrite url="~/contract-deals/([\w-_]+)/_(.+).aspx" to="~/ProductInfo.aspx?productId=$1"/> This isn't working however. I need the correct regex to use for my requirements (regex really isn't my strong point!!)

• Django doesn't refresh my request object when reloading the current page.

  I have a Django web site which I want ot be viewable in different languages. Until this morning everything was working fine. Here is the deal. I go to my say About Us page and it is in English. Below it there is the change language button and when I press it everything "magically" translates to Bulgarian just the way I want it. On the other hand I have a JS menu from which the user is able to browse through the products. I click on 'T-Shirt' then a sub-menu opens bellow the previously pressed containing different categories - Men, Women, Children. The link guides me to a page where the exact clothes I have requested are listed. BUT... When I try to change the language THEN, nothing happens. I go to the Abouts Page, change the language from there, return to the clothes catalog and the language is changed... I will no paste some code. You don't have to understand it or even look at all of it. I've published it just in case because I really can't understand the origins of the bug. Now this is how I have narrowed the problem. I am debuging with "raise Exception(request)" every time I want to know what's inside my request object. When I place this in my aboutUs method, the language cookie value changes every time I press the language button. But NOT when I am in the displayClothes method. There the language stays the same. Also I tried putting the exception line in the beginning of the @base method. It turns out the situation there is exactly the same. When I am in my About Us page and click on the button, the language in my request object changes, but when I press the button while in the catalog page it remains unchanged. That is all I could find, and I have no idea as to how Django distinguishes my pages and in what way. P.S. The JavaScript I think works perfectly, I have tested it in multiple ways. Thank you, I hope some of you will read this enormous post, and don't hesitate to ask for more code excerpts.

• How to follow user location with MapKit

  I'm using MapKit to display the user's location relative to pins around them. I'd like to be able to mimic the functionality that Maps provides via the crosshair button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. I'm already aware that MapKit provides a CLLocation object with the user's location via MKUserLocation, I just wanted to seek advice on how I should keep focus on that location. My initial inclination was to use an NSTimer to center the map on that coordinate every 500ms or so. Is there a better way to do this? Is there something built in to MapKit that I'm missing that will accomplish this? Thanks so much, Brendan

  Hi all, I'm using a DataGridView and I bind a List to the DataSource. I already have the right columns and I map exactly the fields. What I'm trying to do is handling a sort of RowAdded or RowDataBound (like in aspx GridView) event. The only event that I found is RowsAdded but no matter how many items I have, it is fired only 4 times the first time i bound, and twice the other times, with values e.RowCount:1 e.RowIndex:0 e.RowCount:[n-1] e.RowIndex:1 *where n is the number of my items is there a way I can get to a handle for each item?
