    What I'm trying to achieve, is to output a json list that contains a list of Css classes, and their corresponding url records, i.e. var jsonList = [{"CSSClass":"testclass1","VideoUrl":"/Movies/movie.flv"},{"CSSClass":"testclass2","VideoUrl":"/Movies/movie2.flx"}]; //]]> foreach item in the list I am adding a click event to the class... $.each(script, function() { $("." + this.CSSClass, "#pageContainer").live('click', function(e) { videoPlayer.playMovie(this); return false; }); }); What I'm wondering, is if I can somehow get the corresponding url from the jsonlist, without having to loop through them all again, searching for CSSClass, or adding the url to the link as an attribute?

  • Displaying desired properties from search results with grails compass

    Hi, I've been stumped with the problem of displaying a selected set of properties returned as a result via a Compass query in grails. I have 300 columns in my domain class and what I'd like to do is to return ONLY THOSE values I specify (around 10 - 15 properties/fields/columns). All the 300 columns have been indexed, btw. I know I can do this using Lucene by cycling through returned hits and selectively calling a=getField(column_name), et c. My qiuestion is, how do I do the same thing using thee Compass Grails plugin ? Any help will gratefully be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation, Ombud

    Hi, I am using jqueryui autocomplete widget for autocompleting a 'country' field but I am facing an issue. Suppose the user enters "in", I want the jqueryui to list countries like 'india', 'indonesia' which start with 'in', but it also lists the countries which have 'in' somewhere in the name (like: argentina).   • PHP site keeps opening to blank page, no errors.

    First, the premises: PHP loaded on IIS6 on Win2003 STD R2 SP2, PHP_5213 using FastCGI, MySQL_5145. Customer sent me the site files, which I unzipped to C:\InetPub\wwwroot\<site root>, then I created a new site in IIS, pointed to <site root>, added test.php to the site files for testing and it works, but visiting index.php produces a blank page with no errors. The readme.txt file present makes reference to application.php and explains root folder var and sets it to a non-existent file. I don't know PHP syntax, but I tried several logical changes with zero results. At this point I'm not even sure if that is the problem anymore. With PHP, MySQL & site debugging have put in over 20 hours. Still confused, I have resorted to heavy drug use and purchased a small firearm, loaded with a single round (even this seemed to take an inordinate amount of time). I've given up all hope. Someone please help save a new server and/or old administrator.

    I'm wondering if it's possible to find all points by longitude and latitude within X radius of one point? So, if I provide a latitude/longitude of -76.0000, 38.0000, is it possible to simply find all the possible coordinates within (for example) a 10 mile radius of that? I know that there's a way to calculate the distance between two points, which is why I'm not clear as to whether this is possible... Because, it seems like you need to know the center coordinates (-76 and 38 in this case) as well as the coordinates of every other point in order to determine whether it falls within the specified radius... Is that right?

    Our shopping website is based on drupal's ubercart. I have setup ApacheSolr and ApacheSolr Ubercart integration modules. I have created a few products on my website, but am unable to get these products indexed. The default ApacheSolr module works, i.e., I am able to index drupal's default stories. But am unable to achieve indexing for ubercart. Guidance is greatly appreciated. Even links to tutorials to set these up would be helpful.

    I am teaching myself MS-SQL and I am trying to find different ways to find the Count of Paid and Unpaid Claims for 2012 grouped by Region from these 3 tables.   • What should a developer know before building a public web site?

    What things should a programmer implementing the technical details of a web site address before making the site public? If Jeff Atwood can forget about HttpOnly cookies, sitemaps, and cross-site request forgeries all in the same site, what important thing could I be forgetting as well? I'm thinking about this from a web developer's perspective, such that someone else is creating the actual design and content for the site. So while usability and content may be more important than the platform, you the programmer have little say in that. What you do need to worry about is that your implementation of the platform is stable, performs well, is secure, and meets any other business goals (like not cost too much, take too long to build, and rank as well with Google as the content supports). Think of this from the perspective of a developer who's done some work for intranet-type applications in a fairly trusted environment, and is about to have his first shot and putting out a potentially popular site for the entire big bad world wide web. Also: I'm looking for something more specific than just a vague "web standards" response. I mean, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS over HTTP are pretty much a given, especially when I've already specified that you're a professional web developer. So going beyond that, Which standards? In what circumstances, and why? Provide a link to the standard's specification. This question is community wiki, so please feel free to edit that answer to add links to good articles that will help explain or teach each particular point.

    this may be more appropriate for math overflow, but nevertheless: Given 3d structure (for example molecule), what is a good approach/algorithm to find symmetry (rotational/reflection/inversion/etc.)? I came up with brute force naive algorithm, but it seems there should be better approach. I am not so much interested in genetic algorithms as I would like best symmetry rather then almost the best symmetry link to website/paper would be great. thanks

    I want to use the #! token to make my GWT application crawlable, as described here: http://code.google.com/web/ajaxcrawling/ There is a GWT sample app available online that uses this, for example: http://gwt.google.com/samples/Showcase/Showcase.html#!CwRadioButton Will serve the following static webpage to the googlebot: http://gwt.google.com/samples/Showcase/Showcase.html?_escaped_fragment_=CwRadioButton I want my GWT app to do something similar. In short, I'd like to serve a different flavor of the page whenever the _escaped_fragment_ parameter is found in the URL. What should I modify in order for the server to serve something else (a static page, or a page dynamically generated through a headless browser like HTML Unit)? I'm guessing it could be the web.xml file, but I'm not sure. (Note: I thought of checking the Showcase app provided with the GWT SDK, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to support serving static files on _escaped_fragment_ and it doesn't use the #! token..)

  • search & replace on 3000 row, 25 column spreadsheet

    I'm attempting to clean up data in this (old) spreadsheet and need to remove things like single and double quotes, HTML tags and so on. Trouble is, it's a 3000 row file with 25 columns and every spreadsheet app I've tried (NeoOffice, MS Excel, Apple Numbers) chokes on it. Hard. Any ideas on how else I can clean this thing up for import to MySQL? Clearly I could go through each record manually, row by row, but would like to avoid that if at all possible. Likewise, I could write a PHP script to handle it on import, but don't want to put the server into a death spiral either.

    I am building a sample app to demonstrate SearchView with filter and other Action Bar items. I am able to successfully run this app on 4.2(Nexus 7). But it is not running on 2.3. I googled about the issue. Came to know that i should use SherLock Action bar.   • In search of opinions on web based version control systems

    Hi. Researching various open source, web-based document management/version control systems. I've checked google/questions here, etc... I'm looking for a lightweight web-based (apache) document mgmt/version control app that runs on top of SVN. I need to have the ability to: have multiple users checkin/checkout have a workflow (when userA checks the file in, and finishes the app passes it to the next person, etc... the app needs to allow me to have a structure where the files can be moved as a group. the files will be changed on a monthly basis app needs to have a access/premission control system. some people can see certain files, and perform certain actions on the files I imagine that I'm going to have 40-50 people dealing with the different files. I imagine that I'm going to have 2000-3000 files that have to be massaged. I'd prefer that the app be php based if possible, as opposed to a straight java app. Thanks

    Imagine case scenario, you have a list of recipes that have ingredients as a text. You want to see how many recipes contain "sesame oil". The problem with default searchlogic searching using Recipe.ingredients_like("sesame oil") is that any recipe with sesame OR oil would come up, when I'm searching for sesame+oil.

  • MySQL search Chinese characters

    Hello, Let's say I have a row: ??????? Someone enters as a query: ?? Should I break up the characters in the query, and individually perform a LIKE % % match on each character against the row, or is there any easier way to get a row that contains one of the two characters? FULLTEXT won't work with CJK characters. Thanks!

  • Sphinx non-fulltext, integer only search

    Hello guys, I've got a few tables that literally only hold integers, no "words" and for some reason Sphinx is unable to hold this data in it's library. Just returns "0 bytes" errors for these indexes. Is it possible to do this? If so, how?     I have this jqGrid: $("#report").jqGrid( { url: '/py/db?coll=report', datatype: 'json', height: 250, colNames: ['ACN', 'Status', 'Amount'], colModel: [ {name:'acn', sortable:true}, {name:'meta.status', sortable:true}, {name:amount} ], caption: 'Show Report', rownumbers: true, gridview: true, rowNum: 10, rowList: [10,20,30], pager: '#report_pager', viewrecords: true, sortname: 'acn', sortorder: "desc", altRows: true, loadonce: true, mtype: "GET", rowTotal: 1000, jsonReader: { root: "rows", page: "page", total: "total", records: "records", repeatitems: false, id: "acn" } }); Notice that the column 'meta.status' is in JSON dot notation and accordingly the data sent from the server is like this: {"page": "1", "total": "1", "records": "5", "rows": [ {"acn":1,"meta": {"status":"Confirmed"}, "amount": 50}, {"acn":2,"meta": {"status":"Started"}, "amount": 51}, {"acn":3,"meta": {"status":"Stopped"}, "amount": 52}, {"acn":4,"meta": {"status":"Working"}, "amount": 53}, {"acn":5,"meta": {"status":"Started"}, "amount": 54} ] } The problems are of two fold: Sorting does not work on columns with dot notation, here "meta.status". It does not even show the sortable icons on the column header, and nothing happens even if the header is clicked. Sorting does not work, whether loadonce is true or false. If I try Searching (after setting loadonce to true) for the column meta.status (other columns without dot notation is okay), then it throws up a javascript error like this. Any help? Thanks Moorthy
