  Let's say that I have the following text: in = "one aaa two bbbb three cccc" I would like to parse this into a group of variables that contain notworking = ["one", "two", "three"] v1,v2,v3 = in.split(notworking) I know that the example above won't work, but is there some utility in python that would allow me to use this sort of approach? I know what the identifiers will be in advance, so I would think that there has got to be a way to do this... Thanks for any help, jml

  I have two classes: public abstract class AbstractFoobar { ... } and public class ConcreteFoobar extends AbstractFoobar { ... } I have corresponding test classes for these two classes: public class AbstractFoobarTest { ... } and public class ConcreteFoobarTest extends AbstractFoobarTest { ... } When I run ConcreteFoobarTest (in JUnit), the annotated @Test methods in AbstractFoobarTest get run along with those declared directly on ConcreteFoobarTest because they are inherited. Is there anyway to skip them?

  I have two targets for my app which both unarchive serialized objects, however the objects made by the two apps are not compatible. these objects seem to be saved to the same document directory so that one app will try to unarchive the other's objects. how do I get the apps to create separate sandboxes so they do not have access each others' saved objects? or do I need to just have each version create differently named files?

  I've seen developers use two approaches when they are done with a session object. 1) Session.Remove(key) 2) Session(key) = nothing What is the better approach of the two above? Does Session.Remove dispose the object stored automatically? Does the second approach depend on the garbage collector to actually free up the memory? Thanks.

  I have a UITableView with two custom cells and each of them has a subview with a UITextField inside it. I have tried adding a UIButton on top of the UITableView and have it resignFirstResponder but that just means you won't be able to tap anywhere else - not even on the UITextFields to enter text. How do I make it so if I tap outside those two UITextFields, I can call resignFirstResponder, so the user can get back to the other cells? Thanks

  I have two similar sites: - two of them have almost exactly the same codes, and running on the same server - both sites are the same, they just use different language. - database of the slower site is populated (maybe only the user table) the other tables for site content is the same - the faster uses root to access database one of the sites is not released yet, so it uses IP Address to access the site instead of domain name the site that is using IP address is faster (lot faster) the site that is using domain name is slower do you know why is this happening what could be the reason?

  I am trying to use Capistrano to deploy to two different roles, using Bundler on both, however the Bundler command and flags will be different. Is it possible to set variables that are specific to a role? Either something like: set :bundle_flags, "--deployment --quiet", :role => "web" or: role :web do set :bundler_cmd, "--deployment --quiet" end Neither of those two options work, of course.   assume there are three group of high dimension vectors: {a_1, a_2, ..., a_N}, {b_1, b_2, ... , b_N}, {c_1, c_2, ..., c_N}. each of my vector can be represented as: x = a_i + b_j + c_k, where 1 <=i, j, k <= N. then the vector is encoded as (i, j, k) wich is then can be decoded as x = a_i + b_j + c_k. my question is, if there are two vector: x = (i_1, j_1, k_1), y = (i_2, j_2, k_2), is there a method to compute the euclidian distance of these two vector without decode x and y.

  I have seen this but can't work out how to apply it (no pun intended) to my situation. I have a sorted list of maps like this: (note there can be more than two keys in the map) ({name1 3, name2 7}, {name1 35, name2 7}, {name1 0, name2 3}) What I am after is this data structure afterwards: ({:name1 [3,35,0]}, {:name2 [7,7,3]}) Ive been struggling with this for a while and cant seem to get anywhere near. Caveats: The data must stay sorted and I have N keywords not just two.
