  • How can SAP tRFC server tell client through JCo that function has been carried out?

    - by Hendrik Jan van Randen
SAPs "Transactional RFC Technical Description" document (release 4.0, see http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/ee6bca90-0201-0010-5792-d9693e2eac83?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true ) says in section Transactional RFC on page 6: "Finally, the server tells the client, that the function has been carried out and the client acknowledges this.". How can the server tell this to the client when the server communicates with the client through JCo (Java Connector)?

  • How to write a recursive function that returns a linked list of nodes, when given a binary tree of n

    - by Jian Lin
I was once asked of this in an interview: How to write a recursive function that returns a linked list of nodes, when given a binary tree of nodes? (flattening the data) For some reason, I tend to need more than 3 to 5 minutes to solve any recursive problem. Usually, 15 to 20 minutes will be more like it. How could we attack this problem, such as a very systematic way of reaching a solution, so that they can be solved in 3 to 5 minute time frame?

  • IPHONE SDK, How to put Void function into my BOOL??? PLEASE!

    - by Harry
    I am using the IPhone's Accelerometer to make a object move. I want to be able to make this function work and not work depending on different states. I have my code for my Accelerometer function and i want to put it into a BOOL so i can call on it when i need it, but i am having problems. Can anyone Help me put this code into a BOOL named: -(BOOL) accelerometerWorks -(void) accelerometer:(UIAccelerometer *)accelerometer didAccelerate:(UIAcceleration *)acceleration{ valueX = acceleration.x*25.5; int newX = (int)(ball.center.x +valueX); if (newX > 320-BALL_RADIUS) newX = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (newX < 0+BALL_RADIUS) newX = 0+BALL_RADIUS; int XA = (int)(balloonbit1.center.x +valueX); if (XA > 320-BALL_RADIUS) XA = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (XA < 0+BALL_RADIUS) XA = 0+BALL_RADIUS; int XB = (int)(balloonbit2.center.x +valueX); if (XB > 320-BALL_RADIUS) XB = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (XB < 0+BALL_RADIUS) XB = 0+BALL_RADIUS; int XE = (int)(balloonbit5.center.x +valueX); if (XE > 320-BALL_RADIUS) XE = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (XE < 0+BALL_RADIUS) XE = 0+BALL_RADIUS; int XF = (int)(balloonbit6.center.x +valueX); if (XF > 320-BALL_RADIUS) XF = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (XF < 0+BALL_RADIUS) XF = 0+BALL_RADIUS; int XH = (int)(balloonbit8.center.x +valueX); if (XH > 320-BALL_RADIUS) XH = 320-BALL_RADIUS; if (XH < 0+BALL_RADIUS) XH = 0+BALL_RADIUS; ball.center = CGPointMake (newX, 415); balloonbit1.center = CGPointMake (XA, 408); balloonbit2.center = CGPointMake (XB, 395); balloonbit5.center = CGPointMake (XE, 388); balloonbit6.center = CGPointMake (XF, 413); balloonbit8.center = CGPointMake (XH, 426); } Please help. i have been trying for ages with no success. • What does the * symbol do near a function argument and how to use that in others scenarios?

    - by user502052
I am using Ruby on Rails 3 and I would like to know what means the presence of a *simbol near a function argument and to understand its usages in others scenarios. Example scenario (this method was from the Ruby on Rails 3 framework: def find(*args) return to_a.find { |*block_args| yield(*block_args) } if block_given? options = args.extract_options! if options.present? apply_finder_options(options).find(*args) else case args.first when :first, :last, :all send(args.first) else find_with_ids(*args) end end end

  • A python random function acts differently when assigned to a list or called directly...

    - by Dror Hilman
    I have a python function that randomize a dictionary representing a position specific scoring matrix. for example: mat = { 'A' : [ 0.53, 0.66, 0.67, 0.05, 0.01, 0.86, 0.03, 0.97, 0.33, 0.41, 0.26 ] 'C' : [ 0.14, 0.04, 0.13, 0.92, 0.99, 0.04, 0.94, 0.00, 0.07, 0.23, 0.35 ] 'T' : [ 0.25, 0.07, 0.01, 0.01, 0.00, 0.04, 0.00, 0.03, 0.06, 0.12, 0.14 ] 'G' : [ 0.08, 0.23, 0.20, 0.02, 0.00, 0.06, 0.04, 0.00, 0.54, 0.24, 0.25 ] } The scambling function: def scramble_matrix(matrix, iterations): mat_len = len(matrix["A"]) pos1 = pos2 = 0 for count in range(iterations): pos1,pos2 = random.sample(range(mat_len), 2) #suffle the matrix: for nuc in matrix.keys(): matrix[nuc][pos1],matrix[nuc][pos2] = matrix[nuc][pos2],matrix[nuc][pos1] return matrix def print_matrix(matrix): for nuc in matrix.keys(): print nuc+"[", for count in matrix[nuc]: print "%.2f"%count, print "]" now to the problem... When I try to scramble a matrix directly, It's works fine: print_matrix(mat) print "" print_matrix(scramble_matrix(mat,10)) gives: A[ 0.53 0.66 0.67 0.05 0.01 0.86 0.03 0.97 0.33 0.41 0.26 ] C[ 0.14 0.04 0.13 0.92 0.99 0.04 0.94 0.00 0.07 0.23 0.35 ] T[ 0.25 0.07 0.01 0.01 0.00 0.04 0.00 0.03 0.06 0.12 0.14 ] G[ 0.08 0.23 0.20 0.02 0.00 0.06 0.04 0.00 0.54 0.24 0.25 ] A[ 0.41 0.97 0.03 0.86 0.53 0.66 0.33.05 0.67 0.26 0.01 ] C[ 0.23 0.00 0.94 0.04 0.14 0.04 0.07 0.92 0.13 0.35 0.99 ] T[ 0.12 0.03 0.00 0.04 0.25 0.07 0.06 0.01 0.01 0.14 0.00 ] G[ 0.24 0.00 0.04 0.06 0.08 0.23 0.54 0.02 0.20 0.25 0.00 ] but when I try to assign this scrambling to a list , it does not work!!! ... print_matrix(mat) s=[] for x in range(3): s.append(scramble_matrix(mat,10)) for matrix in s: print "" print_matrix(matrix) result: A[ 0.53 0.66 0.67 0.05 0.01 0.86 0.03 0.97 0.33 0.41 0.26 ] C[ 0.14 0.04 0.13 0.92 0.99 0.04 0.94 0.00 0.07 0.23 0.35 ] T[ 0.25 0.07 0.01 0.01 0.00 0.04 0.00 0.03 0.06 0.12 0.14 ] G[ 0.08 0.23 0.20 0.02 0.00 0.06 0.04 0.00 0.54 0.24 0.25 ] A[ 0.01 0.66 0.97 0.67 0.03 0.05 0.33 0.53 0.26 0.41 0.86 ] C[ 0.99 0.04 0.00 0.13 0.94 0.92 0.07 0.14 0.35 0.23 0.04 ] T[ 0.00 0.07 0.03 0.01 0.00 0.01 0.06 0.25 0.14 0.12 0.04 ] G[ 0.00 0.23 0.00 0.20 0.04 0.02 0.54 0.08 0.25 0.24 0.06 ] A[ 0.01 0.66 0.97 0.67 0.03 0.05 0.33 0.53 0.26 0.41 0.86 ] C[ 0.99 0.04 0.00 0.13 0.94 0.92 0.07 0.14 0.35 0.23 0.04 ] T[ 0.00 0.07 0.03 0.01 0.00 0.01 0.06 0.25 0.14 0.12 0.04 ] G[ 0.00 0.23 0.00 0.20 0.04 0.02 0.54 0.08 0.25 0.24 0.06 ] A[ 0.01 0.66 0.97 0.67 0.03 0.05 0.33 0.53 0.26 0.41 0.86 ] C[ 0.99 0.04 0.00 0.13 0.94 0.92 0.07 0.14 0.35 0.23 0.04 ] T[ 0.00 0.07 0.03 0.01 0.00 0.01 0.06 0.25 0.14 0.12 0.04 ] G[ 0.00 0.23 0.00 0.20 0.04 0.02 0.54 0.08 0.25 0.24 0.06 ] What is the problem???   • PHP next MySQL row - how to move pointer until function checks true?

    - by ropbhardgood
I have a PHP script which takes a value from a row in my MySQL database, runs it through a function, and if it determines it's true returns one value, and if it's false, it needs to go to the next value in the database and check that one until eventually one returns true. I think I need to use mysql_fetch_assoc, but I'm not really sure in what way to use it... I wish I could post my code to be more specific, but it's a lot of code and most of it has no bearing on this issue...

  • How to build a function on the fly in java?

    - by stereos
I'm parsing a text file that is being mapped to some java code like such: public void eval(Node arg) { if(arg.data.equals("rand")) { moveRandomly(); } else if(arg.data.equals("home")) { goHome(); }//snip.. This is going to need to be re-evaluated about a thousand times and I'd rather not have to traverse the whole thing every time. Is there any way to make this traversal once and then have it be a function that is called every other time?

  • Why .data() function of jQuery is better to prevent memory leaks?

    - by burak ozdogan
Hi, Regarding to jQuery utility function jQuery.data() the online documentation says: "The jQuery.data() method allows us to attach data of any type to DOM elements in a way that is safe from circular references and therefore from memory leaks. " Why to use: document.body.foo = 52; can result a memory leak -or in what conditions- so that I should use jQuery.data(document.body, 'foo', 52); Should I ALWAYS prefer .data() instead of using expandos in any case? (I would appreciate if you can provide an example to compare the differences) Thanks, burak ozdogan
