Zooming to UIView and it's sub-views

Hi, I have a UIView which I can zoom to (as it is set as a subview of UIScrollView). UIView has UILabel, UITextField, etc. If I just zoom to the UIView, then of course label and text field get fuzzy (the same effect if you are zooming to the image file without changing image resolution). To solve the problem I need to increase the font size and sizes of the UILable and UITextField in according to the scale used to zoom in (scale is passed as a param by the UIScrollView). This is where I am getting confused. Changing frame (by increasing it width and height by zooming scale) I get all my elements (sub-views) repositions (because changing frame effects center and bounds) Question: 1. What would I need to do to zoom in to the sub-views and just increase the sub-view sizes while keeping them in the exactly the same position? thanks

Odd problem with IE8 and z-index CSS property

I not been able to put one DIV over his parent DIV in Internet Explorer. With Firefox is working as suposed to. The odd part is that if I open the html file directly in IE, everything works fine. But if I upload to the server and open from there, the div is hidden underneath his parent. I've tried several z-index combinations and none works. jQuery ajax request to php, how to return plain text only

I am making an ajax request to a php page and I cannot for the life of me get it to just return plain text. $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/shipping/test.php', cache: false, dataType: 'text', data: myData, success: function(data){ console.log(data) } }); in test.php I am including this script to get UPS rates. I am then calling the function with $rate = ups($dest_zip,$service,$weight,$length,$width,$height); I am doing echo $rate; at the bottom of test.php. When viewed in a browser shows the rate, that's great. But when I request the page via ajax I get a bunch of XML. Pastie here: http://pastie.org/1416142 My question is, how do I get it so I can just return the plain text string from the ajax call, where the result data will be a number? Table and background img problem.

I have a problem with my site.I cant make the table appears on the img. It appears down of the image or up of the image. I need some help with the codes. Actually i dont want the img to reapet and to fit in users window everytime. Why does some images not display in different browsers?

I've unreal problem. I have a site, where are displaying images over an classical <img> tag. All images are loading from the database, where is URL column of the image. My problem is that three of ten images are not display. But if I open the source code and click at the URL of the image, I can see image. In source code is some looks like (just for a simple example): <img src = "http://some.image/1.jpg" alt = "description" height = "140" width = "187" /> But the biggest snag is that Opera displays all images correct, but just in FF, IE, Chrome are mentioned problems. I can not provide a screenshots, because the pages are a bit perverse. How can I show the site where the problem is? Or some advice? Thank you.

Silverlight/WPF: Retreiving the size of a `UIElement` once it has been rendered on screen

I have the following simple piece of code: var canvas = new Canvas(); foreach (var ztring in strings) { var textblock = new TextBlock(); textblock.Text = ztring; panel.Children.Add(textblock); textblock.Measure(infiniteSize); } At this point I would expect any of the size properties (Height/Width, ActualHeight/ActualWidth, DesiredSize, RenderSize) to give me the size of the textblock. None of them do. ActualHeight always gives 16.0 no matter what size font. ActualWidth changes according to the text length but not the font size. I change the font size on the parent container and not the TextBlock itself. I feel like I am missing some basic element of understanding the manipulation of silverlight elements from within the codebehind. The question is: how do I get the real actual pixel size of my TextBlock?

Floating Tables Problem Unwanted Space XHTML Strict

The problem is when two table are floating, they both are out of flow so next table comes without any spacing. So I add a width attribute clear:both. JQuery overlay - issues with opening twitter "Allow Access" box

Hey guys I'm using Jquery flowplayer tools overlay to open external links. External links are working fine with this piece of code shown in the link: http://www.demiseonline.com/misc/Iframeoverlay.html Now using this overlay - I wanted to open the twitter dialog which asks users to Allow access to their account. So in the code below, I replaced http://www.google.com with https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=VPVRIsnRz9IX4CAab7brert3jHiEs <div class="apple_overlay black" id="Overlay1" <iframe src ="http://www.google.com" width="100%" height="595px" frameborder="0" </iframe </div When I replace the code, as soon as I load the page, even before I click on the link to open the overlay - the page gets redirected to the twitter URL. Firefox HTML5 video playback inconsistancy

Hey all, I've got an HTML5 video on a page. When tested locally, Chrome, Safari, and Opera work beautifully. Firefox plays it, but doesn't loop as efficiently as the others. The real problem is when it's tested off a server. Firefox doesn't play the video, but recognizes there is one there. I was wondering if all that open ended three-different-ways syntax can be swung in Firefox's favor. Thanks! Prevent Carousel scroll within scrollable Container (Sencha 2)?

I've got a Container with a header, content (Carousel) and a footer. The Container itself is therefor scrollable (vertical) to be able to scroll down to the footer. The Carousel can be swiped horizontally to change active item. I want to lock it to do only two thing: If starting to move vertically, only scroll Container If starting to move horizontally, only scroll Carousel If you now grab the Carousel you are able to scroll both ways at the same time. How to move to a location in a web browser component?

I have a .NET windows form page and a WebBrowser component inside. I load a page inside the web browser using the Navigate method as in: webBrowser1.Navigate("http://www.stackoverflow.com"); The pages length is longer than the browsers height, so the vertical scroll bar appears. Now I want to move the scrollbar down to a specific position. More specifically I want to search for a specific peace of text inside the page, and scroll to that position. This behavior is implemented in the built-in "Find" function of the browser, but I can't figure out how to call the Find function from within my code, without the Find window appearing. Although I don't want the Find window to appear, if the text matches are highlighted it is welcome.

Facebook like iframe ignores my specified href

I have Javascript that imputes (computes and injects) HTML into my DOM for the Facebook "Like" function. I need to specify a "canonical" URL because the actual URL doesn't reflect all the DOM manipulations that have been made (driven by user activity on the Web "page"). Alas, Facebook's code doesn't use the url I supply but the window.location value (which has #hash aspects that influence the page's presentation, but that aren't accessible to the server). Anyway... why is FB's code ignoring the url I give to it? Why does the HTML5 DOCTYPE mess with my padding?

I have an html5 page with a navbar. Completely scratch coded. I just recently added a doctype to the item, and now I’m getting extra space under my navbar. If I remove the doctype declaration, it goes back to normal. I have completely reset padding, margins, etc. on everything, and cut it down to the a small amount of code that illustrates the issue. Is it possible to serve an ASPX page without it setting a cookie on your browser?

Hi, we're in the process of trying to speed up the performance of our website by serving static content from a cookieless domain. That seems to be going well, but I have a new question: I know that it's "static content" that we're talking about when serving it from a cookieless domain, but we also have static content being served by ASPX pages, specifically images. For example: domain.com/resizeImages.aspx?src=images/image123.jpg&width=400&height=400 Pretty standard stuff, and although it's being served by managed code, it's still a static image. So my question is: Is it ok to serve the resizeImages.aspx image from our cookieless/static domain? And if so, how do I go about stopping ASP.NET from setting a ANONYMOUSASPX cookie every time I try? I managed to get the image centered, but the text is not centered vertically. I thought vertical-align:middle would do the trick. How can CSS stop Google Maps loading?

I have a page with a Google Maps div: <div id="map_canvas" style="width: 100%; height: 332px;" ></div> If I comment out my CSS, the map loads fine: if I include the CSS, the map controls load, but the map tiles don't load: there's just a grey background. This is the case even if I put the map div just after the <body> tag, not within any styled element at all. No CSS, it loads fine. With CSS, no map. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I don't quite understand what the problem can be if no CSS styles are being applied to any element that contains the map. If more diagnostics are needed, please let me know, and I'll deploy the broken map onto a staging site, so people can look at the source.

So, I can create an input button with an image using <INPUT type="image" src="/images/Btn.PNG" value=""> But, I can't get the same behavior using CSS. for instance, i've tried <INPUT type="image" class="myButton" value=""> where "myButton" is defined in the css file as .myButton{ background:url(/images/Btn.PNG) no-repeat; cursor:pointer; width: 200px; height: 100px; border: none; } If that's all I wanted to do, I could use the original style, but I want to change the button's appearance on hover (using a myButton:hover class). I know the links are good because I've been able to load them for a background image for other parts of the page (just as a check). I found examples on the web of how to do it using javascript, but I'm looking for a css solution. I'm using Firefox 3.0.3 if that makes a difference. Thanks
