    I have a form on my web page, it allows to submit many queries to my website, every query is on a separate line in TextArea. Because waiting for all queries to complete is too long I would like to update the web page after every query completes - send result of one query to a web browser, new result should be appended to old results that are already on the web page. How to do this in ASP.NET MVC 2? I will be grateful for helpful responses.

  • Collapsing rows of duplicate dates in a column leaving one row with a subtotal?

    I have several thousand rows of date, time, and values in columns. Each row is contains a date, time for that date, and a value for that time period (hour) So each 24 rows has the same date with each having the next hour of the day. I'd like to collapse or group the 24 rows leaving the last row with a subtotal of the value (column D) to the right in column F. While this can obviously be done manually, several years of data would take a while and there ought to be a way to do this other wise?

    we have a .net framework application with a vc dll and a vc ocx, and now if we only import one dll ,it is ok, but when we import both, it will pop a messagebox saying: Debug Assertion Failed! and i studied the child module of our application that import the vc dll, i found after the framework import vc ocx and initialize , then the function LoadLibrary in our module importing the vc dll would return 0, that means memory limited or call improperly, i use getlasterror() the error code is 1114. so it is very frustrated ,hope someone can help me.

As far as i know there's nothing in between threads and processes (Runtime.exec) in java (no abstraction in the jvm to have something like an isolated "java process"). How would you deal with that ?

    Take two different ways of stating the same behavior. Option A: Given a customer has 50 items in their shopping cart When they check out Then they will receive a 10% discount on their order Option B: Given a customer has a high volume of items in their shopping cart When they check out Then they will receive a high volume discount on their order The former is far more specific. If someone has some question about exactly when a customer gets a high volume discount or how much to give them, reading this scenario makes it very clear. Serving the purposes of documenting the behavior, it's about as specific as it can be, although any change in those values will require changing the scenario. The second is more generalized and doesn't have the clarity of the first. Automating it would require incorporating the values "50" and "10" in the step implementations. On the other hand, the scenario captures the core business need: a high volume customer gets a discount. If we later decide to use "40" and "15", the scenario doesn't have to change because the core business need hasn't really changed (though the step implementation would). Also, the term "high volume customer" communicates something about why we're giving them the discount. So, which is better? Rather, under what circumstances should I favor the former or the latter?

Until last night, I had Ubuntu 12.04 installed with Wubi, and it ran ok, though slowly and with occasional hangs. So I partitioned the drive and installed 12.04 in its own partition. Now when I start it, I am stuck using 2D. I believe this is an NVIDIA bug. My NVIDIA card is a GT 520M and my machine has Optimus. Additional Drivers only displays my wireless driver. Going to System Settings Details Graphics shows Driver:Unknown, Experience:Standard. I downloaded the driver from the NVIDIA website, and ran the installer with no errors, except that the "distribution-provided pre-install script failed". After rebooting, my screen was stuck at 640X480, which was fixed by editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf However, I still was stuck in 2D, and nothing else had changed either. A thread suggested something called Bumblebee. I tried that, and when I ran optirun firefoxI got a frozen blank screen. Following another suggestion, I checked the BIOS to try and disable Optimus. I found and ran myriad other commands to try and fix the problem and nothing changed. Now I have just done a clean re-install of Ubuntu. From there, I: Installed all the updates Downloaded the NVIDIA driver Installed it Got screen stuck at 640X480, fixed in xorg.conf. To recap the problem: I can't get the NVIDIA drivers working I am stuck using 2D I'm an idiot I think if the first one is solved, the solution to the second will naturally follow. If you need me to provide any other information, I'd be happy to. However I discovered an issue that when the server makes an outgoing connection, I cannot predict which IP it will use. I had to have one client add ALL the IPs to their firewall so that a certain service could communicate with their server. Well now the time has come to add another IP/site to IIS but I had told them they would not need to add any more IPs. So the question is, how can I make Windows Server 2003 use only ONE specific IP for outgoing calls instead of it being unpredictable? If this is not a good enough description, when I was RDPed into the server and I opened IE and went to 'what is my IP' it was sometimes different which is how I discovered why the one client's firewall was suddenly refusing the connections. How can I just make outgoing calls originate from a static IP yet still allow multiple IPs pointing to different sites in IIS?

  • Adding a div layer on top of a jquery carousel. Tough one.

    Hey everyone, I have a tough one, well it's tough for me because I'm kinda new to the whole jQuery carousel thing, never built one before this project. Here's my problem. If you go to the TEST SITE you will see a scroller with a blue background about half way down the page. If you mouse onto the "data analytics" slide you should see a black box fade in. Here is my dilemma. I want that black box to be a menu that's connected to the data analytics slide. I've done a mock up for you so you can see what I'm talking about. Here is my scroller code.
