    I have a LG Electronics 32LG3000 TV. I can't select the right resolution for my TV connected via HDMI. I can select 1360x768 but not 1366x768. The quality on my TV is very bad.     I'm trying to view the entire contents of my iPhone in Ubuntu 10.04. I'm able to mount and view the digital media folders, but I'm looking for behavior more like the Mac/Windows iExplorer app that will list the /var folder as well as Applications, etc rather than just making it look like an external filesystem. I've found a few options that require jailbreak but I'd rather not go that route if it's at all possible. Thanks!

    I exported a virtual machine from my work station, and I am trying to renew the ip-address at home. I put one copy on my laptop and one copy on my PC. I've done this sudo rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and changed the MAC address, but they keep coming back as 192.168.1.165. I need them to be different because I need to run two of these exports at the same time, so I cannot afford to have the same IP. What can I do? Thanks.

    I am trying to install ubuntu onto my flash drive using the instructions from the website, http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx , and after step 8, the terminal asks for my password, which it accepts and then pops u this error message, dd: /dev/rdisk1bs=1m: Operation not supported. I have also tried making the last m in that statement capital and then the system does not ask me for my password but the error message still pops up. What is happening and why?

I recently updated vittualbox to 4.1.10 Ubuntu did not boot immediately, it did an entire system scan and took about 2 hrs to boot. Now it boots regularly but it does not find wireless internet connection, even connecting cable does not help. However internet works great in window xp.     Hi I want to find a programmatic solution using C++. I have a 900 files each of 27MB size. (just to inform about the enormity ). Each file has 55K rows and Varying columns. But the header indicates the columns I want to sort the rows in an order w.r.t to a Column Value. I wrote the sorting algorithm for this (definitely my newbie attempts, you may say). This algorithm is working for few numbers, but fails for larger numbers.     Hello! Here is a paper, it is about estimating the perspective of binary image containing text and some noise or non text objects. PDF document The algorithm uses the Hidden Markov Model: actually two conditions T - text B - backgrouond (i.e. noise) It is hard to understand the algorithm itself. The question is that I've read about Hidden Markov Models and I know that it uses probabilities that must be known. But in this algorithm I can't understand, if they use HMM, how do they get those probabilities (probability of changing the state from S1 to another state for example S2)? I didn't find anything about training there also in that paper. So, if somebody understands it, please tell me. Also is it possible to use HMM without knowing the state change probabilities?
