  • Right to Left UI in iPhone (Hebrew)

    Hello, I'm struggling in creating a RTL UI in iPhone application. The framework doesn't seem to have any support for RTL languages. The only thing is the alignment inside labels, which is nice, but it conflicts with other controls behaviour. The question is: Is there a working code for a RTL TableView? Something that would handle the disclosure buttons to be on the left, section titles to be right aligned, index view to be left aligned? As far as I understand I cannot move the index view of the tableview, i have to overlay some custom control... Any suggestions/pointers/examples? p.s. this is not a duplication of this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1677988/right-to-left-alignment-for-uitableview since what I am looking for is a deeper customization, not just a new type of CellView. (Update: Mar 10) For now - I've removed support for indexView from the tableView at all, implemented the cells as custom views by myself (with disclosure buttons on the left), and customized the header/footer of the table as well. the only thing that is left is the Index View.   • Custom Message Box: Windows' "Move Cursor to Default Button" Feature

    In Microsoft Windows, there is a (highly useful) feature that automatically moves the cursor to the default button of a modal dialog box (activated in Win+R, "control mouse"). Now I have created a custom dialog box in Delphi (basically a TForm), see below. But, quite naturally, the cursor does not automatically move to the default button ("Yes" in this case), even though the feature is turned on in "control mouse". How to implement this feature using Windows API? I guess it would be sufficient to obtain the settings as a boolean (true if feature activated, false if not), and then simply move the cursor programmatically using SetCursorPos if true. But how to obtain this setting?

As part of increasing the UI simplicity, i want to have a similar gmail "Move To" button where I can check multiple checkboxes and then after clicking one of the many possible entries in the drop down generated by the button, some postback takes place. Please advise. Thank you. Ideally, would be to use jQuery. though i am not an expert, i have some small experience using jQuery.

    In your browser, when you want to save an HTML page that you are currently viewing, you normally go to the File menu and click Save As. Can I have a little button at the bottom of an HTML page that does the same thing? So instead of going to the File menu - Save As, I want my user to be able to click the button to save the page on to the disk.   • Flash AS3 button eventlistener array bug

    Hi there, this is my first time posting a question here. I have an array of 12 buttons on a timeline that when first visiting that part of the timeline, get a CLICK eventlistener added to them using a for loop. All of them work perfectly at that point. When you click one it plays a frame label inside the specific movieClip and reveals a bio on the corresponding person with a close button and removes the CLICK eventlisteners for each button, again using a for loop. The close button plays a closing animation, and then the timeline goes back to the first frame (the one with the 12 buttons on it) and the CLICK eventlisteners are re-added, but now only the first 9 buttons of the array work. There are no output errors and the code to re-add the eventlisteners is exactly the same as the first time that works. I am completely at a loss and am wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.     I have an aspx page with several user controls (ascx) as well as an asp:button for signing out. The click event of the button clears the session and does a response.redirect to the login page. However, before the click event is called, since the page posts back, all of the Page_Load events run for all of the controls. What is the best way to have the click event code run without unnecessary reloading of all user controls?

What I want to do is be able to right click on a link (but not have to actually highlight it) and be able to click send and the links href value is grabbed and sent.     I'm trying to create a simple button that deletes a row from the database. I would like to set the ID of the control to something like delete_MATERIALID_button however, when I do this: <asp:Button ID='delete_<%# Eval("MatID") %>_button' runat="server" Text="Delete" /> I get an error that the name can't be generated like that. I know that there must be a simple solution, I just can't figure it out.
