  Hi, Im wondering if there is a command in V/Vim that will save a backup of the current document to another location (e.g., from C:\ to C:\backup). Any subsequent write with the ":w" command will still write to the old location (e.g., C:). Thanks, Derek

  I want to execute some sql scripts using Java's Runtime.exec method. I intend to invoke mysql.exe / mysql.sh and redirect the script file to this process. From the command prompt I can run the command <mysqInstallDir\/bin\mysql.exe -u <userName> -p <password> < scripts\create_tables.sql I can invoke mysql.exe using Runtime.exec but how do I redirect data from sql file to mysql.exe ?

• Checkout multiple revision of one file in CVS repository

  Hi, To checkout I use the following command CVSROOT="/home/projects/stuff/" cvs co mywork with the mywork directory I have text files as well as pictures, i.e., looks something like this - paper.tex - pic1.jpg - pic2.jpg etc. In particular, I am interested in checking out all the version of paper.tex over time. Is there a way how I can check all revisions of this file out at once? Or which command can I use to see when revision have been made to this particular file? many thanks for your help, Andrew

  I have a SQL Server 2000 database. When I run the following command select * from sysindexkeys This display the appropriate records. I then do a DBCC command for the sysindexkeys. It doesn't display anything. Strange there is no page having the sysindexkeys records. Then how the query display the list of records.

  I recently upgraded my MacBook Pro to Snow Leopard and "git pull" returns: rakudo $ git pull git: 'pull' is not a git-command. See 'git --help' Did you mean this? shell rakudo $ git-pull -bash: git-pull: command not found I've tried reinstalling via macports, but to no avail. Then I saw this rakudo $ git --exec-path /Users/ovid/libexec/git-core That surprised me as that directory does not exist, nor has it ever existed. Google is not helping here. Hopefully you can :)

  I've got a ItemsControl (to be replaced by listbox) which has it's ItemsSource bound to an ObservableCollection<User> which is located in the view model. The View Model contains some DelegateCommand<T> delegates for handling commands (for instance UpdateUserCommand and RemoveUserCommand).   I bash, how do I convert dos/windows newlines to unix? It must be non-interactive, not like starting vi and typing something in, but a command on the command line that can be put in a script file.   Are there any workarounds to get the Flex compiler to work with a 64bit JRE? If I use an MXMLC task in an Ant buildfile in Eclipse it works fine but if I try to use MXMLC from the command line (or try the Run... command from FDT in Eclipse) it fails, telling me ... "Error loading: C:\Program Files\Java\jrrt-1.6.0\jre\bin\jrockit\jvm.dll" (this is with a 64bit JRockit runtime but that shouldn't matter).

• Speed up login to StarTeam?

  I'm working on a program that accesses StarTeam using the StarTeam SDK for .NET. And I've noticed that it takes about 10 seconds to login to the StarTeam server. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to speed that up. Edit I used this command to run the StarTeam Cross Platform client with debugging output: stjava.exe StarTeamCP.stjava -- -netmon It appears that the delay happens when it send the command SRVR_CMD_GET_USER_PERSONAL_INFO. So I don't think there's anything I can do to speed it up.
