    I'm interested in building a web application in .NET that is scalable to multiple Clients and each and every Client has users associated with them. Suppose that my website is xyz.com and I have 3 clients "abc", "klm", "pqr" and I want to give access to features of xyz.com under the link as follows www.xyz.com/abc www.xyz.com/klm www.xyz.com/pqr and Client abc has N users and I want to set 3 roles for every client's user role. Is there any sample application in .NET that support this kind of website access per client having multiple users? And If I use ASP.NET Membership will that be a suitable membership solution or Do I need to opt for any other type of Membership defined by my own or already available in open source market for .NET. Edit: All the clients will have same functionality. I would like to build a generic model for www.xyz.com/{whatever} so that in future if a new client want to register with me he/she just have to give client name and up on adding client name all the features avaiable to exising clients will be applicable.

    I've been trying for weeks, literally, to rename these URLs and also ensure the old one is 301 redirected to the new one: www.example.com/?mod=11&p=215 - www.example.com/clean-url-section www.example.com/?mod=96&tab=6 - www.example.com/clean-url-section-2 Does anyone have any idea why I am having no luck, I got 500 server errors or nothing at all! Is it because of the question marks and characters? I'd be grateful for any help. I have tried this (below) and it seems to be redirecting to the http:// www.example.com/new-page (this page doesn't exist, as I only want it to rename the page BUT use a 301 so that search engines continue you to value it) RewriteCond %{query_string} mod=96&tab=6 RewriteRule (.*) http:// www. example.com/new-page? This is the sample output of firebug: http://mysite.com/mysite.com/forms/get_data.php With this url it now gives me: "NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://mysite.com/mysite.com/forms/get_data.php" Shouldn't it output like http://mysite.com/forms/get_data.php ?     I use VS2010,C# to develop an ASP.NET web site, my customers want me to have their pages like this: mysite.com/customer (in fact they call mysite/customer/default.aspx) so I've manually created several folders for each customer, and inserted a default.aspx file in the folder so that users can view customer page by typing mysite.com/customer is there a better way for performing this scenario? I don't want to have mysite.com/customer1.aspx, I want to have mysite.com/customer1, is there anyway that I can remove folders (and their containing default.aspx files) and generate something automatic using my customers database? should I use URL rewriting? is there anyway that I can create page mysite.com/customer1.aspx, and users can view it by typing mysite.com/customer1? I think it is possible to rewrite URLs in web.config, but I don't want to do it manually in web.config as my pages would increase in a daily basis thanks

    Hi. Suppose stackoverflow.com wanted to have an RSS feed per each tag. They would probably have requests like stackoverflow.com/rss?tag=aspnet to return appropriate RSS feeds. This is the easy part. Now when the user requested stackoverflow.com/rss?tag=aspnet he would see some XML. Instead it would be better to show a page where user can choose which RSS reader he wants to subscribe with (just like feedburner.com). My question is: is there any ready-made code (html+javascript) that I can copy-paste to create such a subscription page? Basically I want to copy feedburner.com's subscription page onto my own site. PS - I would be happy using feedburner.com, but it would require me to create a feed for each tag manually, which is impractical.

Basically I have a div, and I wanted to have the video player within that div, however when I load the page nothing happens, and the video is never played.   • Git on live Windows Server - Trying to pull from the repo but local files already modified

    I have my Git repository hosted at github.com. I would like to push updates and such to github.com and then log into my Windows server and do a git pull to get my changes (that are verified to work on my local machine. Ideally I should have another server setup as my local machine settings are different from the live server. But I'm cheap.). It seems like whenever I try to do a git pull on the server, the files seem to get modified somehow since the last pull. And so I am unable to get the update as git says I need to commit my local (Windows server) changes. How can I use git like I want to? Or is there a better way?

'MSN ID' and 'Gtalk ID' is variable from Associative Array, while 'example@msn.com' and 'example@gmail.com' from SQL result. thanks!

This link should take the user back to the page where they came from only if the previous page URL matches one of the following: http://mydomain.com/one.html, http://mydomain.com/two.html, and http://mydomain.com/three.html. Otherwise, it would take the user back to the homepage, http://mydomain.com. Currently I have a textarea 'info' that on page load is unpopulated and two links that should change its value. I can not seem to get it to work.. <textarea name="info"></textarea> <a href="foo.com" onmouseover="document.info.value='foo.com is a great site'">Foo.com</a> <a href="bar.com" onmouseover="document.info.value='bar.com is a terrible site'">Bar.com</a> I'm sure there is a way to accomplish what I need to do but I can't find it.
