  • "type not defined" exception with WF4 RC

    - by avi1234
    Hi, I`m gettin the following exception while invoking my workflow (dynamically): The following errors were encountered while processing the workflow tree: 'DynamicActivity': The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "TryCast(simplerule_out,OutputBase2)". Type 'OutputBase2' is not defined. 'DynamicActivity': The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "Res". Type 'OutputBase2' is not defined. 'DynamicActivity': The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "Res". Type 'OutputBase2' is not defined. 'DynamicActivity': The private implementation of activity '1: DynamicActivity' has the following validation error: Compiler error(s) encountered processing expression "New List(Of OutputBase2)". Type 'OutputBase2' is not defined. The workflow is very simple and worked fine on VS 2010 beta 2! All I`m trying to do is to create new list of my abstract custom type "OutputBase2". public class OutputBase2 { public OutputBase2() { } public bool Succeeded { get; set; } } class Example { public void Exec() { ActivityBuilder builder = new ActivityBuilder(); builder.Name = "act1"; var res = new DynamicActivityProperty { Name = "Res", Type = typeof(OutArgument<List<OutputBase2>>), Value = new OutArgument<List<OutputBase2>>() }; builder.Properties.Add(res); builder.Implementation = new Sequence(); ((Sequence)builder.Implementation).Activities.Add(new Assign<List<OutputBase2>> { To = new VisualBasicReference<List<OutputBase2>> { ExpressionText = res.Name }, Value = new VisualBasicValue<List<OutputBase2>>("New List(Of OutputBase2)") }); Activity act = getActivity(builder); var res2 = WorkflowInvoker.Invoke(act); } string getXamlStringFromActivityBuilder(ActivityBuilder activityBuilder) { string xamlString; StringBuilder stringBuilder = new StringBuilder(); System.IO.StringWriter stringWriter = new System.IO.StringWriter(stringBuilder); System.Xaml.XamlSchemaContext xamlSchemaContext = new System.Xaml.XamlSchemaContext(); System.Xaml.XamlXmlWriter xamlXmlWriter = new System.Xaml.XamlXmlWriter(stringWriter, xamlSchemaContext); System.Xaml.XamlWriter xamlWriter = System.Activities.XamlIntegration.ActivityXamlServices.CreateBuilderWriter(xamlXmlWriter); System.Xaml.XamlServices.Save(xamlWriter, activityBuilder); xamlString = stringBuilder.ToString(); return xamlString; } public Activity getActivity(ActivityBuilder t) { string xamlString = getXamlStringFromActivityBuilder(t); System.IO.StringReader stringReader = new System.IO.StringReader(xamlString); Activity activity = System.Activities.XamlIntegration.ActivityXamlServices.Load(stringReader); return activity; } } Thanks!

  • Django Custom Widget For ManyToMany field

    - by John
    Does anyone know of a widget that displays 2 select boxes. One shows a list of all object in a model and the other shows the objects which have been selected. The user can then select an object from the first list, click an button which moves it to the 'selected' list. Then when the form is saved the objects in the selected list are saved in the manytomany field. Thanks

  • Enable 2-way databinding on nested listview

    - by Lars Pedersen
    I have a ASP.NET FormView, that - via an ObjectDataSource - is bound to my EventOrder-object: [Serializable] public class EventOrder { [Serializable] public class OrderTicket { public int Qty { get; set; } public int Id { get { return this.Ticket.Id; } } public Ticket Ticket { get; set; } public double TicketPrice { get; set; } } [Serializable] public class OrderExtra { public int Qty { get; set; } public int Id { get { return this.Extra.Id; } } public Extra Extra { get; set; } } public Event Event { get; set; } public List<OrderTicket> OrderTickets { get; set; } public List<OrderExtra> OrderExtras { get; set; } public UserProfile UserProfile { get; set; } public List<Fee> Fees { get; set; } public List<Discount> Discounts { get; set; } public EventOrder() { this.OrderExtras = new List<OrderExtra>(); this.OrderTickets = new List<OrderTicket>(); this.Fees = new List<Fee>(); this.Discounts = new List<Discount>(); } } In my FormView, I have a bindingexpression on an inner listview for my collection of OrderTickets: <asp:ListView Visible="false" runat="server" DataKeyNames="Id" ID="lvTickets" DataSource='<%# Bind("OrderTickets") %>'> <ItemTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox5" Text='<%# Bind("Qty") %>' runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Ticket.Title") %>'></asp:Label> <asp:Label ID="Label2" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("TicketPrice") %>'></asp:Label><br /> </ItemTemplate> My problem is that the Qty-property isn't databound to the object when the parent container is updated. Is it possible to have this kind of parent-child relation with 2-way databinding? Can I force the child listview to update it's bound dataobject when I submit the form?

  • WPF MVVM Pattern, ViewModel DataContext question

    - by orangecl4now
    I used this side to create my demo application http://windowsclient.net/learn/video.aspx?v=314683 The site was very useful in getting my started and in their example, they created a file called EmployeeRepository.cs which appears to be the source for the data. In their example, the data was hard-wired in code. So I'm trying to learn how to get the data from a data source (like a DB). In my specific case, I want to get the data from a Microsoft Access DB. (READ ONLY, So I'll only use SELECT commands). using System.Collections.Generic; using Telephone_Directory_2010.Model; namespace Telephone_Directory_2010.DataAccess { public class EmployeeRepository { readonly List<Employee> _employees; public EmployeeRepository() { if (_employees == null) { _employees = new List<Employee>(); } _employees.Add(Employee.CreateEmployee("Student One", "IT201", "Information Technology", "IT4207", "Building1", "Room650")); _employees.Add(Employee.CreateEmployee("Student Two", "IT201", "Information Technology", "IT4207", "Building1", "Room650")); _employees.Add(Employee.CreateEmployee("Student Three", "IT201", "Information Technology", "IT4207", "Building1", "Room650")); } public List<Employee> GetEmployees() { return new List<Employee>(_employees); } } } I found another example where an Access DB is used but it doesn't comply with MVVM. So I was trying to figure out how to add the DB file to the project, how to wire it up and bind it to a listbox (i'm not that far yet). Below is my modified file using System.Collections.Generic; using Telephone_Directory_2010.Model; // integrating new code with working code using Telephone_Directory_2010.telephone2010DataSetTableAdapters; using System.Windows.Data; namespace Telephone_Directory_2010.DataAccess { public class EmployeeRepository { readonly List<Employee> _employees; // start // integrating new code with working code private telephone2010DataSet.telephone2010DataTable employeeTable; private CollectionView dataView; internal CollectionView DataView { get { if (dataView == null) { dataView = (CollectionView) CollectionViewSource.GetDefaultView(this.DataContext); } return dataView; } } public EmployeeRepository() { if (_employees == null) { _employees = new List<Employee>(); } telephone2010TableAdapter employeeTableAdapter = new telephone2010TableAdapter(); employeeTable = employeeTableAdapter.GetData(); this.DataContext = employeeTable; } public List<Employee> GetEmployees() { return new List<Employee>(_employees); } } } I get the following error messages when building Error 1 'Telephone_Directory_2010.DataAccess.EmployeeRepository' does not contain a definition for 'DataContext' and no extension method 'DataContext' accepting a first argument of type 'Telephone_Directory_2010.DataAccess.EmployeeRepository' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) • Linq-to-sql Compiled Query returning object NOT belonging to submitted DataContext

    - by Vladimir Kojic
    Compiled query: public static class Machines { public static readonly Func<OperationalDataContext, short, Machine> QueryMachineById = CompiledQuery.Compile((OperationalDataContext db, short machineID) => db.Machines.Where(m => m.MachineID == machineID).SingleOrDefault() ); public static Machine GetMachineById(IUnitOfWork unitOfWork, short id) { Machine machine; // Old code (working) //var machineRepository = unitOfWork.GetRepository<Machine>(); //machine = machineRepository.Find(m => m.MachineID == id).SingleOrDefault(); // New code (making problems) machine = QueryMachineById(unitOfWork.DataContext, id); return machine; } It looks like compiled query is caching Machine object and returning the same object even if query is called from new DataContext (I’m disposing DataContext in the service but I’m getting Machine from previous DataContext). I use POCOs and XML mapping. Revised: It looks like compiled query is returning result from new data context and it is not using the one that I passed in compiled-query. Therefore I can not reuse returned object and link it to another object obtained from datacontext thru non compiled queries. [TestMethod] public void GetMachinesTest() { // Test Preparation (not important) using (var unitOfWork = IoC.Get<IUnitOfWork>()) { var machineRepository = unitOfWork.GetRepository<Machine>(); // GET ALL List<Machine> list = machineRepository.FindAll().ToList<Machine>(); VerifyIntegratedMachine(list[2], 3, "Machine 3", "333333", "G300PET", "MachineIconC.xaml", false, true, LicenseType.Licensed, "10.0.97.3", "10.0.97.3", 0); var machine = Machines.GetMachineById(unitOfWork, 3); Assert.AreSame(list[2], machine); // PASS !!!! } using (var unitOfWork = IoC.Get<IUnitOfWork>()) { var machineRepository = unitOfWork.GetRepository<Machine>(); // GET ALL List<Machine> list = machineRepository.FindAll().ToList<Machine>(); VerifyIntegratedMachine(list[2], 3, "Machine 3", "333333", "G300PET", "MachineIconC.xaml", false, true, LicenseType.Licensed, "10.0.97.3", "10.0.97.3", 0); var machine = Machines.GetMachineById(unitOfWork, 3); Assert.AreSame(list[2], machine); // FAIL !!!! } } If I run other (complex) unit tests I'm getting as expected: An attempt has been made to Attach or Add an entity that is not new, perhaps having been loaded from another DataContext.

  • jQuery Drag And Drop Using Live Events

    - by devongovett
    Hello. I have an application with a long list that changes frequently, and I need this the items of this list to be draggable. I've been using the jQuery UI draggable plugin, but it is slow to add to 400+ list items, and has to be re-added every time new list items are added. Does anyone know of a plugin similar to the jQuery UI draggable plugin that uses jQuery 1.3's .live() events? This would solve both problems. Thanks!

  • Undefined symbols for C++0x lambdas?

    - by Austin Hyde
    I was just poking around into some new stuff in C++0x, when I hit a stumbling block: #include <list> #include <cstdio> using namespace std; template <typename T,typename F> void ForEach (list<T> l, F f) { for (typename list<T>::iterator it=l.begin();it!=l.end();++it) f(*it); } int main() { int arr[] = {1,2,3,4,5,6}; list<int> l (arr,arr+6); ForEach(l,[](int x){printf("%d\n",x);}); } does not compile.   • Why does one loop take longer to detect a shared memory update than another loop?

    - by Joseph Garvin
    I've written a 'server' program that writes to shared memory, and a client program that reads from the memory. The server has different 'channels' that it can be writing to, which are just different linked lists that it's appending items too. The client is interested in some of the linked lists, and wants to read every node that's added to those lists as it comes in, with the minimum latency possible. I have 2 approaches for the client: For each linked list, the client keeps a 'bookmark' pointer to keep its place within the linked list. It round robins the linked lists, iterating through all of them over and over (it loops forever), moving each bookmark one node forward each time if it can. Whether it can is determined by the value of a 'next' member of the node. If it's non-null, then jumping to the next node is safe (the server switches it from null to non-null atomically). This approach works OK, but if there are a lot of lists to iterate over, and only a few of them are receiving updates, the latency gets bad. The server gives each list a unique ID. Each time the server appends an item to a list, it also appends the ID number of the list to a master 'update list'. The client only keeps one bookmark, a bookmark into the update list. It endlessly checks if the bookmark's next pointer is non-null ( while(node->next_ == NULL) {} ), if so moves ahead, reads the ID given, and then processes the new node on the linked list that has that ID. This, in theory, should handle large numbers of lists much better, because the client doesn't have to iterate over all of them each time. When I benchmarked the latency of both approaches (using gettimeofday), to my surprise #2 was terrible. The first approach, for a small number of linked lists, would often be under 20us of latency. The second approach would have small spats of low latencies but often be between 4,000-7,000us! Through inserting gettimeofday's here and there, I've determined that all of the added latency in approach #2 is spent in the loop repeatedly checking if the next pointer is non-null. This is puzzling to me; it's as if the change in one process is taking longer to 'publish' to the second process with the second approach. I assume there's some sort of cache interaction going on I don't understand. What's going on?

  • c++ stl priority queue insert bad_alloc exception

    - by bsg
    Hi, I am working on a query processor that reads in long lists of document id's from memory and looks for matching id's. When it finds one, it creates a DOC struct containing the docid (an int) and the document's rank (a double) and pushes it on to a priority queue. My problem is that when the word(s) searched for has a long list, when I try to push the DOC on to the queue, I get the following exception: Unhandled exception at 0x7c812afb in QueryProcessor.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: std::bad_alloc at memory location 0x0012ee88.. When the word has a short list, it works fine. I tried pushing DOC's onto the queue in several places in my code, and they all work until a certain line; after that, I get the above error. I am completely at a loss as to what is wrong because the longest list read in is less than 1 MB and I free all memory that I allocate. Why should there suddenly be a bad_alloc exception when I try to push a DOC onto a queue that has a capacity to hold it (I used a vector with enough space reserved as the underlying data structure for the priority queue)? I know that questions like this are almost impossible to answer without seeing all the code, but it's too long to post here. I'm putting as much as I can and am anxiously hoping that someone can give me an answer, because I am at my wits' end. The NextGEQ function is too long to put here, but it reads a list of compressed blocks of docids block by block. That is, if it sees that the lastdocid in the block (in a separate list) is larger than the docid passed in, it decompresses the block and searches until it finds the right one. If it sees that it was already decompressed, it just searches. Below, when I call the function the first time, it decompresses a block and finds the docid; the push onto the queue after that works. The second time, it doesn't even need to decompress; that is, no new memory is allocated, but after that time, pushing on to the queue gives a bad_alloc error. struct DOC{ long int docid; long double rank; public: DOC() { docid = 0; rank = 0.0; } DOC(int num, double ranking) { docid = num; rank = ranking; } bool operator>( const DOC & d ) const { return rank > d.rank; } bool operator<( const DOC & d ) const { return rank < d.rank; } }; struct listnode{ int* metapointer; int* blockpointer; int docposition; int frequency; int numberdocs; int* iquery; listnode* nextnode; }; void QUERYMANAGER::SubmitQuery(char *query){ vector<DOC> docvec; docvec.reserve(20); DOC doct; //create a priority queue to use as a min-heap to store the documents and rankings; //although the priority queue uses the heap as its underlying data structure, //I found it easier to use the STL priority queue implementation priority_queue<DOC, vector<DOC>,std::greater<DOC>> q(docvec.begin(), docvec.end()); q.push(doct); //do some processing here; startlist is a pointer to a listnode struct that starts the //linked list cout << "Opening lists:" << endl; //point the linked list start pointer to the node returned by the OpenList method startlist = &OpenList(value); listnode* minpointer; q.push(doct); //more processing here; else{ //start by finding the first docid in the shortest list int i = 0; q.push(doct); num = NextGEQ(0, *startlist); q.push(doct); while(num != -1) cout << "finding nextGEQ from shortest list" << endl; q.push(doct); //the is where the problem starts - every previous q.push(doct) works; the one after //NextGEQ(num +1, *startlist) gives the bad_alloc error num = NextGEQ(num + 1, *startlist); q.push(doct); //if you didn't break out of the loop; i.e., all lists contain a matching docid, //calculate the document's rank; if it's one of the top 20, create a struct //containing the docid and the rank and add it to the priority queue if(!loop) { cout << "found match" << endl; if(num < 0) { cout << "reached end of list" << endl; //reached the end of the shortest list; close the list CloseList(startlist); break; } rank = calculateRanking(table, num); try{ //if the heap is not full, create a DOC struct with the docid and //rank and add it to the heap if(q.size() < 20) { doc.docid = num; doc.rank = rank; q.push(doct); q.push(doc); } } catch (exception& e) { cout << e.what() << endl; } } } Thank you very much, bsg.

  • Datamapper, defining your own object methods, how?

    - by Dublinclontarf
    So lets say I have a class like below class List include DataMapper::Resource property :id, Serial property :username, String def self.my_username return self[:username] end end list=List.create(:username=>,'jim') list.my_username When I run this it tells me that the method cannot be found, and on more investigation that you can only define class methods(not object methods) and that class methods don't have access to objects data. Is there any way to have these methods included as object methods and get access to object data? I'm using Ruby 1.8.6 and the latest version of datamapper.

  • Possible uncommitted transactions causing "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired" erro

    - by Michael
    My application requires a user to log in and allows them to edit a list of things. However, it seems that if the same user always logs in and out and edits the list, this user will run into a "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired." error. I've read comments about increasing the timeout period but I've also read a comment about it possibly caused by uncommitted transactions. And I do have one going in the application. I'll provide the code I'm working with and there is an IF statement in there that I was a little iffy about but it seemed like a reasonable thing to do. I'll just go over what's going on here, there is a list of objects to update or add into the database. New objects created in the application are given an ID of 0 while existing objects have their own ID's generated from the DB. If the user chooses to delete some objects, their IDs are stored in a separate list of Integers. Once the user is ready to save their changes, the two lists are passed into this method. By use of the IF statement, objects with ID of 0 are added (using the Add stored procedure) and those objects with non-zero IDs are updated (using the Update stored procedure). After all this, a FOR loop goes through all the integers in the "removal" list and uses the Delete stored procedure to remove them. A transaction is used for all this. Public Shared Sub UpdateSomethings(ByVal SomethingList As List(Of Something), ByVal RemovalList As List(Of Integer)) Using DBConnection As New SqlConnection(conn) DBConnection.Open() Dim MyTransaction As SqlTransaction MyTransaction = DBConnection.BeginTransaction() Try For Each SomethingItem As Something In SomethingList Using MyCommand As New SqlCommand() MyCommand.Connection = DBConnection If SomethingItem.ID > 0 Then MyCommand.CommandText = "UpdateSomething" Else MyCommand.CommandText = "AddSomething" End If MyCommand.Transaction = MyTransaction MyCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure With MyCommand.Parameters If MyCommand.CommandText = "UpdateSomething" Then .Add("@id", SqlDbType.Int).Value = SomethingItem.ID End If .Add("@stuff", SqlDbType.Varchar).Value = SomethingItem.Stuff End With MyCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() End Using Next For Each ID As Integer In RemovalList Using MyCommand As New SqlCommand("DeleteSomething", DBConnection) MyCommand.Transaction = MyTransaction MyCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure With MyCommand.Parameters .Add("@id", SqlDbType.Int).Value = ID End With MyCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() End Using Next MyTransaction.Commit() Catch ex As Exception MyTransaction.Rollback() 'Exception handling goes here End Try End Using End Sub There are three stored procedures used here as well as some looping so I can see how something can be holding everything up if the list is large enough. Other users can log in to the system at the same time just fine though. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 to debug and am using SQL Server 2000 for the DB.

  • Flex Spark DropDownList selectedItem didn't update after dataProvider changed

The following code can be compiled and run. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx" creationComplete="flipLast()" minWidth="955" minHeight="600"> <fx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; public function flipLast():void { if( last ) { list.dataProvider = dp1; list.selectedItem = "Flex"; } else { list.dataProvider = dp2; list.selectedItem = "Catalyst"; } last = !last; } public var last:Boolean = true; public var dp1:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection( [ "Flex", "Air" ] ); public var dp2:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection( [ "Catalyst", "FlashBuilder" ] ); ]]> </fx:Script> <s:VGroup> <s:DropDownList id="list" requireSelection="true" /> <s:Label id="listSelectedItem" text="{list.selectedItem}" /> <s:Label id="listSelectedIndex" text="{list.selectedIndex}" /> <s:Button label="Flip" click="flipLast()" /> </s:VGroup> </s:Application> Scenario 1: dataProvider updated, but selectedIndex is the same. At startup: [ listSelectedItem=Flex, listSelectedIndex=1 ]. Click Flip: dataProvider is updated, but still [ listSelectedItem=Flex, listSelectedIndex=1 ]. Scenario 2: dataProvider updated, selectedIndex is also updated. At startup: [ listSelectedItem=Flex, listSelectedIndex=1 ]. Select Air from list: [ listSelectedItem=Air, listSelectedIndex=2 ]. Click Flip: dataProvider is updated, but still [ listSelectedItem=Catalyst, listSelectedIndex=1 ]. Seems to me that selectedItem is driven by selectedIndex. selectedItem updates only when selectedIndex updates. Shouldn't selectedItem be updated when dataProvider is updated? Is binding to selectedItem flawed?

Thanks <div class="modal-container"> <form onsubmit="" action="" id="list-dialog-form" name="list-dialog-form"> <div id="modal-wrapper"> <br><br> <div class="modal-inputbar"> <span style="width: 100px;" class="inputbar-label"> <label>Edit List Name:</label> </span> <span style="width: 200px;" class="inputbar-input"> <input type="text" style="padding-right: 25px;" autocomplete="off" maxlength="140" id="listname" value="Untitled"> </span> </div> </div> <div id="modal-submit" class="modal-submit"> <span class="left delete-wrap"> <span onclick="deleteThisList(15);" class="delete"> </span> </span> <span style="line-height: 2em;" class="right"> <input type="hidden" value="15" id="tasklistID"> <input type="submit" value="update" id="dialogcloser"> <input type="button" onclick="$('#listeditdialog').dialog('close');" value="close" id="dialogcloser"> </span> </div> </form> </div> // Handles Updating the List Title $("#list-dialog-form").submit(function(){ // Ajax Spinner $("#listname").css("background", "url('/images/ajax-loader.gif') no-repeat scroll 98% center #FFF"); $.ajax({ url: '/ajax/listname-update/index.cfm', data: ({listname: $("#listname").val().trim(), tasklistID: $("#tasklistID").val()}), dataType: 'json', type: 'post', success: function( result ) { // Update the name in the top, project list $("#list-" + $("#tasklistID").val()).find('a').html($("#listname").val().trim()); $("#list-" + $("#tasklistID").val()).effect('highlight', {color: '#BDC1C7'}, 500); //Remove the Ajax Spinner $("#listname").css("background", "#FFF"); $("#listname").effect('highlight', {color: '#BDC1C7'}, 500); //close the dialog $('#listeditdialog').dialog('close'); } }); return false; });

  • How to fix this Makefile

    - by Phenom
    I want my Makefile to be as simple as possible and still function. This is what it looks like. load: load.cpp g++ load.cpp -g -o load list: list.cpp g++ list.cpp -g -o list It worked fine when there was only one entry. But when I added the second entry, it doesn't check to see if it's updated and needs to be recompiled, unless I specifically supply the name. How do I fix this?

  • How to make Python check if ftp directory exists?

    - by Phil
    I'm using this script to connect to sample ftp server and list available directories: from ftplib import FTP ftp = FTP('ftp.cwi.nl') # connect to host, default port (some example server, i'll use other one) ftp.login() # user anonymous, passwd anonymous@ ftp.retrlines('LIST') # list directory contents ftp.quit() How do I use ftp.retrlines('LIST') output to check if directory (for example public_html) exists, if it exists cd to it and then execute some other code and exit; if not execute code right away and exit?

  • 'Contains()' workaround using Linq to Entities?

    - by jbloomer
    I'm trying to create a query which uses a list of ids in the where clause, using the Silverlight ADO.Net Data Services client api (and therefore Linq To Entities). Does anyone know of a workaround to Contains not being supported? I want to do something like this: List<long?> txnIds = new List<long?>(); // Fill list var q = from t in svc.OpenTransaction where txnIds.Contains(t.OpenTransactionId) select t;
