  I have written a java application which is a RMI server. I need to start rmiregistry to run this application and i also want my apllication to start automatically when the system starts. I have converted my application into a windows servise. When i try to start my service it shows this error Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Is it because my program throws an exception when my application is started before the rmiregistry is started.

• Render as html from a remote link on Rails

  On my registration form i want to show a modal (of twitter-bootstrap) when the user has a successfull signup to tell him to check his email so i put "remote: true" on my form and render a .js.erb wich shows the modal, on my controller. BUT, in case of inputs errors i need to render the page as html to refresh de form showing those errors. Can I call the controller from the remote form as JS but render as html? (or any other idea to do what i want) Thanks!

  Hello, Consider the URL www.something.com/HereWeGo. When someone enters the url, the site shows a 404 error since the directory does not exists.   hi i have problems in converting an XML document type into a Document object.. this is the piece of code line 1 : Document doc=null; line 2 : doc = (Document) parser.parse(sourceFile); for this line 2 it throws java classcast exception.. without the typecast it shows error as "Type mismatch: cannot convert from org.w3c.dom.Document to javax.swing.text.Document" how do i now typecast properly? any suggestions??

The documentation I've linked to above shows two functions that almost do what I want: tempfile.NamedTemporaryFile # For creating named tempfiles tempfile.SpooledTemporaryFile # For creating tempfiles in memory but actually I want a tempfile that is both named AND in memory.   I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?

  I have a Windows 2008 server with two IP addresses assigned to a single NIC. The DNS settings are setup to register the connections's addresses on the DNS server. nslookup shows both IP addresses for the server name. How is name resolution done in this case, i.e. which IP address does the DNS server return for a host lookup? Or does it return both, and the client selects one of the addresses?
