Now, I've never really spent any time at all investigating these claims—I just brushed them off as clumsy or cumbersome or down-right claptrap—but I'm a proud Objective-C programmer who's perhaps a little worried as to whether there's any truth in all of this?

  I remember running into this problem when I started using OpenGL in OS X. Eventually I solved it, but I think that was just by using glut and c++ instead of Objective-C... The lines of code I have in init for the ES1Renderer are as follows: glEnable(GL_DEPTH_TEST); glDepthFunc(GL_LEQUAL); Then in the render method, I have this: glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT | GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT); I assume I'm missing something specific to either the iPhone or ES. What other steps are required to enable the depth test? Thanks

  Hi, guys, I've been developing an iphone web application for a while, and encountered a weird problem: when open the web app in safari(with safari chrome, not starting it from home screen), safari can generate proper "If-Not-Modified-Since" and "If-None-Matches", so the server simply gives 304 Not Modified to speed up the process. however, when starting the app from home screen, safari seems to forget these two headers, and server always replies with 200 OK... any ideas for this?

I have tried several flags such as -gdawrf-2 and -g without any success.   I am trying to sync my (Mac) desktop, with an iPad and an iPhone. OSX mounts WebDAV as a native filesystem, but syncing results in all files in my directory structure being copied again. This occurs when I use rsync -a or even a simple rsync -r. Various iPhone OS apps use the WebDAV server in iPhone OSX to transfer files. This occurs on several apps I use including GoodReader.
