  • difference between AJAX POST and GET

My senior told me that I also can use 'GET' in type. But dint find the difference between 'POST' and 'GET' and I also want to know what is the use of type, contentType, and dataType. This app is composed by : A parent project specifying all the modules to build A project generating classes with jaxb and building a jar with them A project building an ejb project 3 projects building war modules 1 project building an ear Here is an extract from my parent pom : <groupId>com.test</groupId> <artifactId>P</artifactId> <packaging>pom</packaging> <version>04.01.00</version> <modules> <module>../PValidationJaxb</module> <-- jar <module>../PValidation</module> <-- ejb <module>../PImport</module> <-- war <module>../PTerminal</module> <-- war <module>../PWebService</module> <-- war <module>../PEAR</module> <-- ear </modules> I have several problems which I think have the same origin, probably a dependency management issue that I cannot figure out : The generated modules are different depending on if I build from the parent pom or a single module. Typically if I build PImport only, the generated war is similar to what I had with my ant build and if I build from the parent pom, my war took 20MB, a lot of dependencies from other modules had been added. Both wars are running well. My project PWebService has unit tests to be executed during the build. It is using mock-ejb which has cglib as dependency. Having a problem of ClassNotFound with this one, I had to exclude it and add a dependency to cglib-nodep (see last pom extract). If I then build only this module, it is working well. But if I build from the parent project, it fails because other dependencies in other modules also had an implicit dependency on cglib. I had to exclude it in every modules pom and add the dependency to cglib-nodep everywhere to make it run. Do I miss something important in my configuration ?     I use VIM as my text editor and I edit a lot of XML and WSDL files. WSDL files have an XSD section. Is there some VIM plugin I can use to traverse the XSD types? i.e., if I have the following line and the caret is where the '|' sign is: <xsd:element minOccurs="0" name="FooName" type="Magic|FooType"/> and I press Ctrl+Alt+Foo (or some other magic combo) it will get me to the definition of MagicFooType, i.e.: <xsd:complexType name="MagicFooType"> I couldn't find how to use ctags for this and all the other plugins that I could find are for imperative languages (i.e. Java). Is there some plugin/script to do the job?

  • How to convert JavaScript dictionary into Python syntax

    Writing out javascript dictionary from inside of JavaScript- enabled application (such as Adobe) into external .jsx file (or any other .txt file) the context of resulted file dictionary looks like: ({one:"1", two:"2"}) (Please note that each dictionary keys are written as they are the variables name (which is not true). A next step is to read this .jsx file with Python. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into Python dictionary syntax such as: {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} It has been already suggested that instead of using JavaScript's built-in dict.toSource() it would make more sense to use JSON which would write a dictionary content in similar to Python syntax. But unfortunately using JSON is not an option for me. I need to find a way to convert ({one:"1", two:"2"}) into {'one':"1", 'two':"2"} using Python alone. Any suggestions on how to achieve it? Once again, the problem mostly in dictionary keys syntax which inside of Python look like variable names instead of strings-like dictionary keys names: one vs "one"

  • Cucumber works on Eclipse but not on Jenkins

    I am successfully running Cucumber test on my java/maven eclipse project. But when I add my project do Jenkins I always get the following error "cucumber.runtime.CucumberException: No features found at []". I read in this thread Setting cucumber-jvm options in Maven from the command line that: ...tests are running in separate JVM, so you need to specify that system property in the test plugin configuration (i.e. surefire or failsafe plugin config in your pom.xml) But I am not quite sure how to do this. Can anyone help me? PS: I am using "cucumber-java" and "cucumber-junit" dependencies.

  • How to create a view of table that contains a timestamp column?

    This question is an extension of a previous one I have asked. I have a table (2014_05_31_transformed.Video) with a schema that looks like this. I have put up the JSON returned by the BigQuery API describing it's schema in this gist. I am trying to create a view against this table with an API call that looks like this: { 'view': { 'query': u 'SELECT deleted_mod_time FROM [2014_05_31_transformed.Video]' }, 'tableReference': { 'datasetId': 'latest_transformed', 'tableId': u 'Video', 'projectId': 'redacted' } } But, the BigQuery API is returning this error: HttpError: https://www.googleapis.com/bigquery/v2/projects/124072386181/datasets/latest_transformed/tables?alt=json returned "Invalid field name "deleted_mod_time.usec". Fields must contain only letters, numbers, and underscores, start with a letter or underscore, and be at most 128 characters long." The schema that the BigQuery API does not make any distinction between a TIMESTAMP data type and a regular nullable INTEGER data type, so I can't think of a way to programmatically correct this problem. Is there anything I can do, or is this a bug with BigQuery's view implementation?

  • PhoneGap 1.5 (Cordova) + ChildBrowser Whitelist Issue

    I am creating an app using PhoneGap 1.5 (Cordova) and the ChildBrowser Plugin (newest version with naming for PG 1.5 / Cordova.) I use the ChildBrowser plugin to display webpages, PDFs etc. in the app. In previous versions of PG the Whitelist wasn't as restrictive and would load external resources (css/js etc.) located on remote servers / CDNs called from webpages displayed in the ChildBrowser as long as the main URL was Whitelisted. This appears to have changed and I cannot find a way around it. Is there a way to allow all URLs to be whitelisted as long as they are loaded through an already whitelisted URL, or is whitelisting every single possible URL the only way? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Any thoughts on where/how to start ? Initially, I would prefer to have it as a standalone application, later develop it as eclipse plugin. I have already evaluated the extjs designer and the eclipse plugin from instantiations, but i would prefer to have it developed on my own, as it looks challenging, Also, I have few custom components that have been developed.   • Jenkins merge dev branch to master with -Xtheir stategy

    In GIT Plugin, we can merge one branch to other on work space before the starting of Build. However, plugin does not provide -Xtheir strategy. Now i want dev branch to merge on master, validate test cases and if successful then only push back to master. Problem i face is that if there is a merge conflict, i want changes of dev branch to exits (i know i can use -Xtheirs manually). [Like i can check git as Source Code Management, but can;t use its Additional behavior 'Merge Before Build' ] However when i run the required code in Execute Shell Section of Jenkins Job, It does not works as required and fails with error: fatal: dev - not something we can merge Jenkins Job Code is echo Start of Build git checkout dev git checkout master git status git merge dev --no-commit echo End of Build I have also used them with bask -l -c "", but is same problem.

    I have a large number of rows in a table within which I wish to attach a unique colorpicker (jQuery plugin) to each cell in a particular column identified by unique ids. Given this, I want to automate the generation of instances of the colorpicker as follows: var myrows={"a","b","c",.....} var mycolours={"ffffff","fcdfcd","123123"...} for (var i=0;i<myrows.length;i++) { $("#"+myrows[i]+"colour").ColorPicker({flat: false, color: mycolours[i], onChange: function (hsb, hex, rgb) { $("#"+myrows[i]+"currentcolour").css('backgroundColor', '#' + hex); } }); Now this doesn't work because the evaluation of the $("#"+myrows[i]+"currentcolour") component occurs at the time the function is called, not when it is defined (which is want I need). Given that this plugin javascript appends its code to the level and not to the underlying DOM component that I am accessing above so can't derive what id this pertains to, how can I evaluate the variable during function declaration/definition?     Hi, I am trying to update a table based on a json request. The first update / draw works fine - but any subsequent changes to the variables (the start and end date) do not show up - even though the json pulled from the server seems to be correct (according to firebug).     Hi I been sort of using jquery livequery plugin and jquery live together. However now that I am using 1.4 it seems jquery livequery is not working 100%.     Authlogic is trying to prepend a before_filter in ActionController::Base to active itself, the problem is that ApplicationController has already been loaded meaning the before_filter won't get copied into your application. Generally this is due to another gem or plugin requiring your ApplicationController prematurely, such as the resource_controller plugin. The solution is to require Authlogic before these other gems / plugins. Please require authlogic first to get rid of this error.   • Conditionally embed ASP.NET MVC2 Views as resources during build in Visual Studio 2010

    I have a ASP.NET MVC2 project in VS2010 that can be deployed in two modes: standalone or plugin. In standalone mode, the views should live outside the compiled assembly as .aspx files (the default setup). In plugin mode, the views are switched (currently by hand) to embedded resources and the entire assembly is dropped into a host project folder. Currently, this requires the developer to go through each view and switch it from Build Action: "Content" to "Embedded Resource" and vice versa. I would like to create a new solution configuration to automatically grab all .aspx files and build them as resources. This SO post seems like the solution, but I would prefer not to have to edit the .csproj every single time I add a new view to the project. Is there a way to use a wild cards or some other batch/global conditionally statement to change resources from content to embedded?

    I m a graphic designer and have created a website in Joomla that uses a "lightbox" (ignite gallery) plugin to view images from the site. I have created a facebook 'website' app that allows for comments to be posted via facebook in the lightbox (also a like button) - all of which are really just options that you allow in the ignite gallery options. Everything seems to work fine, I can comment and it will appear under the photo in the lightbox, as I asked it too, it also sends a copy of the comment to the commenter's facebook page with links. How do I also get the comments from the website (lightbox plugin) to also appear on the clients "fan page" that already exists?? Much appreciate any help..

Now I am having a problem with the jQuery Form JS: I have taken the original code from the developers page for ajaxSubmit and only altered the target option to an ID which exists in my HTML source and replaced $ with jQuery in function showRequest. The problem is, that the function namend after success: does not fire. I tried the same with error: and again nothing fired.   • Page loading effect with jquery

    Hello all, Is there a way to use jquery (or other method) to display a loading div while page loads? I have a table that is populated using PHP/MySQL and can contain several thousand rows. This is then sorted using the tablesorter plugin for jquery. Everything works fine, however the page can sometimes take 4-5 seconds to fully load and it would be nice to display a 'loading...' message within a div which automatically disappears when whole table is loaded. I have heard of loadmask plugin for jquery - would this be suitable for my needs and if not any alternative? No AJAX calls are being made while loading this table if thats relevant.
