  • Mac OSX 10.8 Server DNS Domain Routing

    I just cant seem to figure out the logic in how to configure my Mac Server. So I have set up an DNS, which will take the domain and all subdomains and point towards an IP. File: db.mydomain.com (in /var/named/) mydomain.com. 10800 IN SOA mydomain.com. admin.mydomain.com. ( 2012110903 ; serial 3600 ; refresh (1 hour) 900 ; retry (15 minutes) 1209600 ; expire (2 weeks) 86400 ; minimum (1 day) ) 10800 IN NS mydomain.com. 10800 IN A 10.0.1.2 www.mydomain.com. 10800 IN A 10.0.1.2 So I want all of these requests to be requested to the 10.0.1.2 server, as I run 2 servers in my cluster. This one has always handled the requests, and now I want to add a server in between. So the server in between will get all the signals from my router which NAT the trafic coming from outside. So after setting this up and trying to point my port 80 towards my new server which will be the middle point, it doesn't work. Is it even possible to do it this way? First server: Mac Second server: Linux So what I try to achieve once more: 1. User goes to mydomain.com or www.mydomain.com 2. User request gets handled by my first server 3. First server refers to a local server, which is only available locally (it is configured to allow requests on port 80 and handle them) 4. Second server receives signal 5. Second server returns a request (either directly send to user or send through first server, whichever is most secure and configurable) I also want to be able to set up domains that lead to other servers in the future, and some that are only available within the VPN. (If that changes anything) I hope some kind soul could help me with this, it is really cumbersome for my mind to get the logic here. Do I have to configure my other server in any way? /Marcus

  • Virtual Subdomains

    I would like to manage subdomains exclusively through .htaccess. I am able to catch subdomains that I set up - for example, support.testsite.com - currently, I redirect that to testsite.com/support. What I would like to do is retain the subdomain, even after the redirect - so support.testsite.com seems to stay in the address bar for the user, even though it is actually located at testsite.com/support. Should I maintain another .htaccess file in /support that rewrites the address? Thanks!

  • Synergy 1.5 crash (OSX 10.6.8)

    THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS I recently installed Synergy 1.5 r2278 (for Mac OSX 10.6.8) and was using it fine for most of the day, then it decided to stop working (the only thing I changed systemwise was the screensaver - and then after it started crashing disabled it - to see if it would resolve).   • Exchange 2010 email forward with filter

    Is it possible to create an on-server rule to distribute/forward incoming email to certain mailboxes , based on senders email address. Example, user1@domain.com sends an email to @user2@domain.com, and I would like for all emails from this user sent to user2@domain.com, to end up in user3@domain.com mailbox I do not want to do a client forwarding, I would like to to it on server in Exchange 2010.   • error handler isn't called when file is uploaded via ajax using jQuery form plugin

    Here's my test case. If the form is posted, a 500 error response is sent. If not, the form is sent. If the file input tag is commented out, the error handler is called. If the file input tag is present, the error handler isn't called. I think this might have something to do with the fact that jQuery needs to use an iframe to handle the upload and iframes don't seem to respond to the error handler. Edit: If I add iframe: true to the options passed to ajaxSubmit to force the use of an iframe, the non-file-upload case stops working also, so it definitely has to do with the iframe.     Hi, I'm writing an app that connect to a website and read one line from it. I do it like this: try{ URLConnection connection = new URL("www.example.com").openConnection(); BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(connection.getInputStream())); String response = rd.readLine(); rd.close(); }catch (Exception e) { //exception handling } Is it good? I mean, I close the BufferedReader in the last line, but I do not close the InputStreamReader. Should I create a standalone InputStreamReader from the connection.getInputStream, and a BufferedReader from the standalone InputStreamReader, than close all the two readers? I think it will be better to place the closing methods in the finally block like this: InputStreamReader isr = null; BufferedReader br = null; try{ URLConnection connection = new URL("www.example.com").openConnection(); isr = new InputStreamReader(connection.getInputStream()); br = new BufferedReader(isr); String response = br.readLine(); }catch (Exception e) { //exception handling }finally{ br.close(); isr.close(); } But it is ugly, because the closing methods can throw exception, so I have to handle or throw it.     My specific question has to do with JMX as used in JDK 1.6: if I am running a Java process using JRE 1.6 with com.sun.management.jmxremote in the command line, does Java pick a default port for remote JMX connections? Backstory: I am currently trying to develop a procedure to give to a customer that will enable them to connect to one of our processes via JMX from a remote machine. The goal is to facillitate their remote debugging of a situation occurring on a real-time display console. Because of their service level agreement, they are strongly motivated to capture as much data as possible and, if the situation looks too complicated to fix quickly, to restart the display console and allow it to reconnect to the server-side. I am aware the I could run jconsole on JDK 1.6 processes and jvisualvm on post-JDK 1.6.7 processes given physical access to the console. However, because of the operational requirements and people problems involved, we are strongly motivated to grab the data that we need remotely and get them up and running again. EDIT: I am aware of the command line port property com.sun.management.jmxremote.port=portNum The question that I am trying to answer is, if you do not set that property at the command line, does Java pick another port for remote monitoring? If so, how could you determine what it might be?

    Using Jetty 7.0.2, I am unable to set a custom session cookie path. I am hosting multiple sites on the same server using apache to proxy requests to the proper context. (replaced http as htp as stackoverflow thinks my multiple links might be spam) <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName context.domain.com ProxyRequests On ProxyPreserveHost Off <Proxy *:80> Order deny,allow Allow from 127.0.0.1 </Proxy> ProxyPass / htp://localhost:8080/context/ ProxyPassReverse / htp://localhost:8080/context/ <Location /> Order allow,deny Allow from all </Location> </VirtualHost> Jetty is running on the same server on port 8080 and my context is available @ /context The user accesses the application @ htp://context.domain.com but jetty is setting the path for the session cookie @ /context. This prevents the browser from accessing the cookie since the the actual path to the context is not being used. I need to override Jetty's default setting to set the cookie for the context, and set the path at the root ( / ). In my Jetty's webdefault.xml I have the following, which is partially working: <context-param> <param-name>org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.SessionCookie</param-name> <param-value>CustomCookieName</param-value> </context-param> <context-param> <param-name>org.eclipse.jetty.servlet.SessionPath</param-name> <param-value>/</param-value> </context-param> The cookie is properly set with a custom name, but it is NOT setting the SessionPath. No matter what I set the value to... it refuses to set a cookie at any path but /context. This has been driving me crazy so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Newer devices will also have Google Play services as part of the device's system image, but updates are still pushed to these newer devices through the Google Play Store. Isn't "Google Play services" app the same as the "Google Play" app? Another question I have, due to lack of documentation: what is the scope parameter for? The documentation just says the following, but not defining what an 'authentication scope' exactly is: scope String representing the authentication scope.

  • Can a Silverlight application authenticate versus a local LDAP/ActiveDirectory Server

    If I have an externally hosted application (www.outside.com) outside the firewall but users within a company wanted to be able to enable LDAP authentication against their local (behind the firewall) AD server (acting as LDAP) or other LDAP server (call it ldap.inside.com), how would this be done. It seems technically possible in that when a user tried to login to outside.com through a client-side silverlight interface, that the SL app could connect to the outside.com login service and be told to authenticate that user against ldap.inside.com. The SL app would make the calls to ldap.inside.com to authenticate the user. Of course, there is the issue of how the server is notified securely that the client authenticated itself...Has anyone done this?

Can you please help me as to what i am doing wrong. And yes if i send just batchProgressMetricsList.get(0) in MAV it just works fine.

Replacing the ,  with \r\n is easy enough, as is the first replacement: Replace (^|\r\n)(\S+\s)([^,\r\n]*),\s With $1$2$3\r\n$2 But capturing the other names and applying the same prefix is what is eluding me today. Any suggestions?
