    I'm new to mocks and am deciding on a mock framework. The Moq home quotes Currently, it's the only mocking library that goes against the generalized and somewhat unintuitive (especially for novices) Record/Reply approach from all other frameworks. Can anyone explain simply what the Record/Replay approach is and how Moq differs? What are the pros and cons of each especially from the point of deciding a framework? Thanks.

How does it compares to using a traditional dependency injection framework such as Spring for wiring classes together. Is the resulting object graph (based on mixins rather than classes) easier to deal with from a maintenance point of view?

    When I try it I get: ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/lib/python2.5/site-packages/cscalelib.so, 2): Symbol not found: _glBindFramebufferEXT Referenced from: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/lib/python2.5/site-packages/cscalelib.so Expected in: dynamic lookup I've tried all sort of things in the setup.py file. What do I actually need to put in it to link to OpenGL properly? My code compiles fine so there's no point putting that on there.

  • asp.net MVC: how to catch a 404 error?

    Hi, in the old days, with asp.net, when i would navigate to a non existing page, the .net framework (or iis?) would throw a 404 and i could attach a default page to that error in the web.config in the custom errors section. but in the asp.net mvc that doesn't seem to work? Does the mvc framework throws some kind of invalid route excpetion saying it can't find any route for my uri or something like that?

    I've created a Zend_Application using the zf tool that's bundled with Zend Framework (1.96, if that matters) What at the rules for formatting action names and how those action names get translated into into URL paths, and where in the Framework codebase does this happen? I ask because I tried to create an action like public function createFooAction() { } and it wouldn't load with a URL like http://example.com/controller/createFoo BUT, the following did work public function createfooAction() { } http://example.com/controller/createfoo I also know non-alphanumeric characters get treated differently, and I'd like to know the base rules I'm dealing with.

    I have a base32 string which I need to convert to a byte array. And I'm having trouble finding a conversion method in the .net framework. I can find methods for base64 but not for base32. Convert.FromBase64String – something like this for base32 would be perfect. Is there such a method in the framework or do I have to roll my own?

  • What standards and best practices should I follow to write interoperable portlets or web gadgets?

    I am trying to design the standards and patterns for implementing portlets/web gadgets with the main goal of maximizing interoperability if those components were hosted in a Java app server framework or within an existing ASP.NET technology (SharePoint webparts), or a client side-only framework. Is there any guidance anywhere of the parts of different portlet standards that are shared between most portal frameworks? Is the best I can hope for is to adhere to the JSR 168 and 286 standards and hitch my wagon to Java?

    Hi all, I'm aware of the Argotic framework for .Net that assists in the collation and management of Atom data, but does anybody know of a .Net application/framework that implements the Atom Publishing Protocol (APP)? Creating a .Net APP server from scratch seems a daunting task, even if it 'stands on the shoulders' of Argotic. Maybe a .Net rewrite of Apache Abdera (or other O/S implementation) would be easier.     I have been looking around at web applications and websites with rich graphs, charts, and data visualization and for the most part have been able to determine which frameworks or tools websites are using. However I was looking over 'resumup.com' and couldn't determine what they are using. Does anyone know off hand or can you tell?   • Cocoa JSON - Check whether array or dictionary

The problem is that the API returns a dictionary if there is an error but returns an array of the results if it works. Is there a good way to detect if the JSONValue is an array or a dictionary?
