  • ByPass credential prompting on drive map - windows server 2k3

    I have 2 windows server 2k3 machines - server A and server B, Server A is on the company domain, and Server B is not. I have a need to bypass the credential prompting that happens every time I map a drive from Server B to Server A. The reason i need to do this is that I'm running a program called SourceAnywhere on Server A that points to a VSS database on Server B. (SourceAnywhere solves the slowness issues that VSS http access has). While I can configure SourceAnywhere to point to this VSS database (after mapping drive and getting access), I cannot connect to the VSS database from my development machine - i get an error saying I can access database alias.. I'm thinking this might have to do with Server B prompting me for credentials from Server A since it isn't on the domain. Is there anyway to store these credentials? or do i need to get Server B added to the domain?

  • how do I match movement of an object from 2d video into a 3d package ?

    I'm trying to add objects in a 3d package(Blender) using recorded footage. I've played with Icarus and it's great to capture the camera movement. Also the Blender 2.41 importer script works in Blender 2.49 as well. The problem is I can't seem to get 3d coordinates for objects. I have tried Autodesk(RealVIZ) MatchMover 2011 and gone through the tutorials. Tutorial 3 shows how to link a vertex from a 3d mesh to a 2d trackpoint, but the setup is for camera movement. Tutorial 4 goes into Motion capture, but it uses 2 videos of the same motion taken with 2 cameras from different viewpoints. I've tried to bypass that using the same footage twice, but that failed, as the 3d coordinate system ends up messed up. What software do you recommend for this (mapping 3d coordinates to 2d tracked points and importing them into a 3d package) ? What is the recommended technique ? Any good examples out there ?     Is there any software similar to automator but more advanced? In our situation we have two files with the same name, one is a MOV the other XML. We want to use some of the metadata within the XML to rename both files. Then we want to re-arrange the contents of the XML file so that it is compatible with another piece of software we use (I think this is called mapping) Essentially some software that takes a bunch of variable from existing file and peforms file actions to them. I imagine this would be an easy task using applescript, but im wondering if there is a OSX application similar to Automator that can do the above? Questions are: Is there software that can do the above? Could Automator achieve this? What is the name of this process? If no such software exists, what would be the best kind of script to use? eg. Make an Apple Script, python script etc.

It seems that Excel is using a question mark as a wild card and will turn all cells with at least one character in them red. How can i escape the question mark? These don't seem to work: "?" \?     Whenever I SSH somewhere I get something like this in the logs: sshd[16734]: reverse mapping checking getaddrinfo for 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net [1.2.3.4] failed - POSSIBLE BREAK-IN ATTEMPT! And it is right: if I do host 1.2.3.4 it returns 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net, but if I do host 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net it is not found. I have two questions: What security threat is there? How could anyone fake a one-way DNS in some threatening way? Do I have any recourse for fixing this? I'll send my ISP a bug report, but who knows where that'll go.

  • Can't move or access WSS Central Administration site

    We have several WSS Servers: WSS1 WSS2 WSS3 WSS4 SharePoint thinks that Central Administration is on WSS3 and that it can be access via SSL on port 22641. The problem is that central administration is not there. It was removed using the config wizard. We removed central admin from all servers to clean everything out, and we tried installing Central Admin on WSS1. The alternate access mappings still point to central admin on WSS3. We tried deleting the alternate access mappings, but SharePoint won't let you delete central admin's mapping. Later, we removed central admin from all of our servers and tried creating the Central Admin website on WSS3, where SharePoint already thinks it is. But for some reason SharePoint is creating the alternate access mappings using SSL, and we don't have a certificate for the server. Why is SharePoint creating alternate access mappings routing an https internal URL by default? How can we move central administration to a new server? We are using WSS 3.0.

  • Unable to map to web folder using WebDAV client on Windows Server 2008 R2

    I have a client running Windows Server 2008 R2 on several servers. One of the servers is also running SharePoint 3.0 and my client has created a web folder to map to. I can map to the web folder from all Server 2008 R2 boxes that have the WebDAV client (part of Desktop Experience feature) installed, except for the server the folder resides on. When I attempt to map to the web folder on the server which the folder resides, I am repeatedly prompted to enter my credentials. I am using the same account that I used to map the web folder on the other servers. I have also tried mapping from the command line and receive 'Access Denied' What may be causing the problem? I would think that if I can map to the drive from one server, I should be able to map the drive from the rest as long as the WebDAV client is installed, especially on the server where the folder is located.     Hello, I wanted to do a joke to my teacher : When she left, she logged out and i set up all the accessibility tools (color blind, narrator.....) When she came back, she turn off her computer by letting the POWER button pushed. Ever since, each time she turns on the computer, all the accessibilty tools came up even if she DISABLES it each time.   • Windows XP loses drive letter for existing partition on disk

    Hi, apologies if this has already been asked - I couldn't spot anything exactly the same. I'm looking for help on the fact that Windows XP has suddenly decided to stop assigning a drive letter to the second partition on my laptop's disk. I haven't added or changed hardware and I keep everything pretty clean in terms of software installed. I've partitioned the disk into a system partition on C: and a user partition on d: but lately, when booting or coming out of hibernation or sometime from stand-by, Windows will lose it's d: mapping. If I notice and remap it from MMC, everything will be perfectly happy and will keep going. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Kev

  • Mac OSX Server 10.6 DNS Issues

    Hi, The server was upgraded from 10.5 from 10.6, during the upgrade the Reverse Zones were lost so I tried to recreate these but found that it's best to delete all zones, definitions and start again. So I've started again and Reverse Zones are appearing but I'm still having issues.     My Word 2007 spell-check seems to work fine, except that when I paste in text from somewhere else, it won't detect any misspellings in that pasted text...no matter what I try. If it makes any difference, when I paste in text, the formatting is preserved (size color etc). I've tried doing a past-special and trying the different options there, but it's still bringing the formatting over. Any ideas on what to try?

When implementing an RBAC model using an LDAP store (I'm using Apache Directory 1.0.2 as a testbed), some of the actors are obviously mappable to specific objectClasses: Resources - I don't see a clear mapping for this one. applictionEntity seems only tangentially intended for this purpose Permissions - a Permission can be viewed as a single-purpose Role; obviously I'm not thinking of an LDAP permission, as they govern access to LDAP objects and attributes rather than an RBAC permission to a Resource Roles - maps fairly directly to groupOfNames or groupOfUniqueNames, right? Users - person In the past I've seen models where a Resource isn't dealt with in the directory in any fashion, and Permissions and Roles were mapped to Active Directory Groups. Is there a better way to represent these actors? How about a document discussing good mappings and intents of the schema?

  • WebDAV mapped drive asking for username and password

    Since we migrated domains we're having problems with mapping a drive using a WebDAV connection in our login script. It's a simple net use x: \\server.domain.com\folder Which used to authenticate automatically (all we needed to do to make this happen was to put the server in the intranet zone in the internet explorer settings). Since the domain migration though, nearly everyone is being prompted for a username and password to connect. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any help much appreciated. The webdav share is on a Windows 2003 server running IIS.

  • Map /dev/bus/usb node to /sys node on Linux

    I'm using libusb to find and access a USB device, but once I get the information I need from there, I need to map it to a /sys node. This could be to the actual USB bus it's on, the /sys/bus/usb-serial node (which is where I'm going to get eventually), or effectively anywhere else since I can walk the tree from there. I can get to a /dev/bus/usb node easily enough, but I'm a bit lost from there. What would be the best route to perform this mapping? Alternatively, a way to get the /dev/ttyUSB device node for a /dev/bus/usb node would work as well, since it gets me the same result.

    I need to find all compressed files/folders regardless of file format on a Windows Server 2003 machine. Search options do not provide this capability. Is there a way to list/view all compressed files? Perhaps, this can be done by PowerShell using file/folder attributes and put into a txt file with file location. UPD: Under compressed files/folders - I mean files which appear in blue color in Explorer after changing file/folder attribute.

  • Copy Network Volume configuration among Linux systems

    I have several standalone Debian Linux (Lenny) systems. As it stands now, all of the systems are configured with a generic login account. This login account has a network volume that connects to a Windows share on a Windows server. I need to create a batch of user accounts on all of the systems (this part I figured out). After I create all of the user accounts, I need all of them to have the same network volume mapping as the current generic account. Is the network volume configuration saved somewhere, where I could copy that configuration across all of the user accounts?

    Hi there, I have recently installed wordpress but i would like to configure extensionless URLs .. I am using IIS7 but on a shared server. I presume i cna add something to web.config file?? I am little bit confused, in IIS7 and asp.net mvc it is done via code... but in PHP i don't think it is .... so the only alternative is to use a re-write module but i can't as I am on a shared server and can't install ISAPI stuff.. so I was wondering if there is a way to do the mapping i.e. when going to testme it would actually load testme.php Any advise really appreciated Thanks

  • how can I stop my sonicwall TZ-210 (SonicOS Enhanced 5.5.1.0-5o) from responding to arp queries on the wan subnet?

    My sonicwall TZ-210 is answering arp queries on the wan subnet (which my isp doesn't like), basically mapping all the wan ips to its own mac address, causing network havoc since it is not set to route those back to the main isp gateway. How the heck can I turn this behavior off? I have already entered in all wan subnet ips in the static arp cache and left them 'unpublished' which I presumed would mean that it did not bother answering arp queries for them. Apparently it did not do the trick. Arp queries are still being answered unfortunately. What can I do? Any suggestions?
