• SOLVED: deploying applications that use LINQ to Entities.

  HI COMUNITY!!!! I want to use L2E since it s very convenient to my company's apps, I created a demo project, the demo does run on every machine but when I, lets say, press a button that has some code that uses the entity I get this error: specified store provider cannot be found in the configuration, or is not valid. note that I get this error only on machines that does not have VS2008 installed, on these machines (the ones with VS2008) the demo works well. any advice is appreciated. I am using MySql server with Mysql Conector 6.3 and the model is created with ADO.Net entitiy model.   I downloaded the nServicebus binaries as of May 17th and have two different vb.net projects (one in .net 3.5, the other in .net 4.0) that both have the error "Reference to Assembly nServicebus, Version 2.0.0.1145, culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=9fc386479f8a226c containing the type NServicebus.IStartable. Add one to your project. I have in the references already nServicebus.dll, nservicebus.Core.dll, and log4net.dll

• SmartGWT Program not displaying getting wnd.isc.Browser is null

  When running my gwt program in GWT Development Mode it fails to display showing this error in the console: com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (TypeError): '$wnd.isc.Browser' is null or not an object I do not believe the error is due to my project setup. Other member of the team can compile fine. It is most likely some type of config problem on my end. I have re-checked out the project and still get the error. I am using the latest jdk 1.6.0_19 if that matters

• Orientation in a UIView added to a UIWindow

  OK, bear with me. I have a UIView which is supposed to cover the whole device (UIWindow) to support an image zoom in/out effect I'm doing using core animation where a user taps a button on a UITableViewCell and I zoom the associated image. The zooming is performing flawlessly, what I haven't been able to figure out is why the subview is still in portrait mode even though the device is in landscape. • issues horizontal scrolling using jQuery.ScrollTo / jQuery.SerialScroll

  Hi, I am trying to develop auto horizontal scrolling for our website using - jQuery.ScrollTo / jQuery.SerialScroll. I am not sure if this is the best jquery library to do that, but if there's something better, please let me know. Here's the behavior that I want, check out foursquare's "Recent Activity" list. The data that will refresh will come from a ajax request that I make every few seconds using window.setInterval. I am not really a CSS/java script guy so I havent been able to figure out jQuery.SerialScroll. Here's the website - look at the "Live job Feeds" list. Currently the list does refresh the data coming from the ajax call, but I dont see the effect, the animation, in fact I dont even think serialScroll is being used. Right now I am doing a - $('#feed-ticker').prepend(content) to pre-append the newly arrived data. You can do a view source to look at the current code. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

  Hi! I'm having a problem with UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp and landscape mode. In my landscape application I have a view controller that manages two fullscreen views. In the controller I have a container view for the transitions. To switch between the two views, I use a curled transition but the animation is performed as if it were in portrait mode. I have setted the UIDeviceOrientation in info.plist, also the supported orientations to both landscape right and left. The controller returns true in shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation only for landscape right and left. I have also tried to start the controller and views with 480 width and 320 height manually. I dont know where is the problema and dont know what else to try. Could someone help me? Thank you!

• How do I rotate only some views when working with a uinavigationcontroller as a tab of a uitabbarcon

  Here is a flow that I can not figure out how to work. ( when I state (working) it means that in that current state the rules for orientation for that view are working correctly) First View: TableView on the stack of a UINavigationController that is a tab of UITabBarController. TableView is only allowed to be portrait. (working) When you rotate the TableView to landscape a modal comes up with a custom UIView that is like a coverflow (which i'll explain the problem there in a moment). A Selection made on tableview pushes a UIScrollview on to the stack. UIScrollView is allowed all orientations. (working) When UIScrollView is in landscape mode and the user hits back they are taken to the custom UIView that is like the coverflow and only allows landscape. The problem is here. Because the UIScrollView allows full rotation it permitted the TableView to rotate as well to landscape. I have a method attached to a notification "UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification" that checks to see if the custom view is the current controller and if it is and if the user has rotated back to portrait I need to pop the custom view and show the table view. The table view has to rotate back to portrait, which really is okay as long as the user doesn't see it. When I create custom animations it works pretty good except for some odd invisible black box that seems to rotate with the device right before I fade out the customview to the tableview. Further inorder to ensure that my tableview will rotate to portrait I have to allow the customview to support all orientations because the system looks to the current view (in my code) as to whether or not that app is allowed to rotate to a certain orientation. Because of this I many proposed solutions will show the customview rotating to portrait as the table view comes back to focus. My other problem is very similar. If you are viewing the tableview and rotate the modalview of the customview is presented. When you make a selection on this view it pushes the UIScrollview onto the stack, but because the Tableview only supports portrait the UIScrollview comes in in portrait while the device is in landscape mode. How can I overcome these awful blocks? This is my current attempt: When it comes to working with UITabBarController the system really only cares what the tabbarcontroller has to say about rotation. Currently whenever a view loads it reports it supported orientations. It is responsible for poping the customview and showing the tableview. There are two different versions in place that originally were for two different versions of the SDK but both are pretty close to solutions. The reason the first is not supported on 3.0 is for some reason you can't have a view showing and then showen as a modal view. Not sure if that is a bug or a feature.   Hi everybody. I'm working with gwtai to integrate a java applet into my gwt - project. Basic communication from my main application to the applet (such as invoking simple methods that return int or boolean values) works. But the main reason why I need to integrate this applet is, that I need it to connect to another server and receive a answer and pass it to my gwt-application. So there's one basic method in the applet: public String SendAndReceive(String host, int sendPort, int receivePort, String query) that connects to the server, receives an answer and returns this answer as a string. When I now try to invoke this method like this: applet.SendAndReceive("0.0.0.0", 9099, 2000, "show streams;"); I constantly run into following error (full error message at the end): com.google.gwt.core.client.JavaScriptException: (String): Error calling method on NPObject!   I want to have a TabBar controller inside a navigation controller. So that when an item is selected on the first Navigation Controller it pushes the TabBar into view. Inside this tabbar on the first tab is another navigation controller. However I only want one navigation bar. I've come up with 2 ways but not sure which way is better (Ie more acceptable etc)? 1) The first navigation controller isn't actually a navigation controller but to the user it looks like one. So when a cell is selected on it's table view the first navC's view is removed from the superview and the TabBarC's view is added, animation would have to be done manually. 2)The first NavC is actually a NavC and when an item is selected and the TabBar is pushed on to the screen the first NavC's navigationbar is hidden so that the first tab's navigationBar is the only nav bar on screen.

I am using core data with a sqlite database to hold simple profile objects which have a name and a score attribute (both of which are of type NSString).   Hi, I am trying to develop auto horizontal scrolling for our website using - jQuery.ScrollTo / jQuery.SerialScroll. I am not sure if this is the best jquery library to do that, but if there's something better, please let me know. Here's the behavior that I want, check out foursquare's "Recent Activity" list. The data that will refresh will come from a ajax request that I make every few seconds using window.setInterval. I am not really a CSS/java script guy so I havent been able to figure out jQuery.SerialScroll. Here's the website - look at the "Live job Feeds" list. Currently the list does refresh the data coming from the ajax call, but I dont see the effect, the animation, in fact I dont even think serialScroll is being used. Right now I am doing a - $('#feed-ticker').prepend(content) to pre-append the newly arrived data. You can do a view source to look at the current code. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

• Disable Autocommit in H2 with Hibernate/C3P0 ?

  I have a JPA/Hibernate application and am trying to get it to run against H2 (as well as other databases). Currently I am using Atomikos for transaction and C3P0 for connection pooing. Despite my best efforts I am still seeing this in the log file (and DAO integration tests are failing): [20100613 23:06:34] DEBUG [main] SessionFactoryImpl.(242) | instantiating session factory with properties: .....edited for brevity.... hibernate.connection.autocommit=true, ....more stuff follows The connection URL to H2 has AUTOCOMMIT=OFF, but according to the H2 documentation: this will not work as expected when using a connection pool (the connection pool manager will re-enable autocommit when returning the connection to the pool, so autocommit will only be disabled the first time the connection is used So I figured (apparently correctly) that Hibernate is where I'll have to indicate I want autocommit off.
