Approaches for generic, compile-time safe lazy-load methods

Suppose I have created a wrapper class like the following: public class Foo : IFoo { private readonly IFoo innerFoo; public Foo(IFoo innerFoo) { this.innerFoo = innerFoo; } public int? Bar { get; set; } public int? Baz { get; set; } } The idea here is that the innerFoo might wrap data-access methods or something similarly expensive, and I only want its GetBar and GetBaz methods to be invoked once. So I want to create another wrapper around it, which will save the values obtained on the first run. It's simple enough to do this, of course: int IFoo.GetBar() { if ((Bar == null) && (innerFoo != null)) Bar = innerFoo.GetBar(); return Bar ?? 0; } int IFoo.GetBaz() { if ((Baz == null) && (innerFoo != null)) Baz = innerFoo.GetBaz(); return Baz ?? 0; } But it gets pretty repetitive if I'm doing this with 10 different properties and 30 different wrappers. So I figured, hey, let's make this generic: T LazyLoad<T>(ref T prop, Func<IFoo, T> loader) { if ((prop == null) && (innerFoo != null)) prop = loader(innerFoo); return prop; } Which almost gets me where I want, but not quite, because you can't ref an auto-property (or any property at all). In other words, I can't write this: int IFoo.GetBar() { return LazyLoad(ref Bar, f => f.GetBar()); // <--- Won't compile } Instead, I'd have to change Bar to have an explicit backing field and write explicit getters and setters. Which is fine, except for the fact that I end up writing even more redundant code than I was writing in the first place. Then I considered the possibility of using expression trees: T LazyLoad<T>(Expression<Func<T>> propExpr, Func<IFoo, T> loader) { var memberExpression = propExpr.Body as MemberExpression; if (memberExpression != null) { // Use Reflection to inspect/set the property } } This plays nice with refactoring - it'll work great if I do this: return LazyLoad(f => f.Bar, f => f.GetBar()); But it's not actually safe, because someone less clever (i.e. myself in 3 days from now when I inevitably forget how this is implemented internally) could decide to write this instead: return LazyLoad(f => 3, f => f.GetBar()); Which is either going to crash or result in unexpected/undefined behaviour, depending on how defensively I write the LazyLoad method. So I don't really like this approach either, because it leads to the possibility of runtime errors which would have been prevented in the first attempt. It also relies on Reflection, which feels a little dirty here, even though this code is admittedly not performance-sensitive. Now I could also decide to go all-out and use DynamicProxy to do method interception and not have to write any code, and in fact I already do this in some applications. But this code is residing in a core library which many other assemblies depend on, and it seems horribly wrong to be introducing this kind of complexity at such a low level. Separating the interceptor-based implementation from the IFoo interface by putting it into its own assembly doesn't really help; the fact is that this very class is still going to be used all over the place, must be used, so this isn't one of those problems that could be trivially solved with a little DI magic. The last option I've already thought of would be to have a method like: T LazyLoad<T>(Func<T> getter, Action<T> setter, Func<IFoo, T> loader) { ... } This option is very "meh" as well - it avoids Reflection but is still error-prone, and it doesn't really reduce the repetition that much. It's almost as bad as having to write explicit getters and setters for each property. Maybe I'm just being incredibly nit-picky, but this application is still in its early stages, and it's going to grow substantially over time, and I really want to keep the code squeaky-clean. Bottom line: I'm at an impasse, looking for other ideas. Question: Is there any way to clean up the lazy-loading code at the top, such that the implementation will: Guarantee compile-time safety, like the ref version; Actually reduce the amount of code repetition, like the Expression version; and Not take on any significant additional dependencies? In other words, is there a way to do this just using regular C# language features and possibly a few small helper classes? Or am I just going to have to accept that there's a trade-off here and strike one of the above requirements from the list?

I currently was tasked to make a genogram for a family consisting of siblings, parents with aunts and uncles with grandparents and greatgrandparents for only blood relatives. My current algorithm is using recursion. but I am wondering how to do it in non recursive way to make it more efficient. it is programmed in c# using graphics to draw on a bitmap. Duplex communication using NetTcpBinding - ContractFilter mismatch?

I'm making slow and steady progress towards having a duplex communication channel open between a client and a server, using NetTcpBinding. (FYI, you can observe my newbie progress here and here!) I'm now at the stage where I have successfully connected to my server, through the server's firewall, and the client can make requests of the server. In the other direction, however, things aren't quite so happy. It works fine when testing on my own machine, but when testing over the internet, when I try to initiate a callback from the server side, I get an error: The message with Action 'http://MyWebService/IWebService/HelloWorld' cannot be processed at the receiver, due to a ContractFilter mismatch at the EndpointDispatcher. This may be because of either a contract mismatch (mismatched Actions between sender and receiver) or a binding/security mismatch between the sender and the receiver. Check that sender and receiver have the same contract and the same binding (including security requirements, e.g. Message, Transport, None). Here are some of the key bits of code. PHP MVC Framework Structure

I am sorry about the amount of code here. I have tried to show enough for understanding while avoiding confusion (I hope). I have included a second copy of the code at Pastebin. (The code does execute without error/notice/warning.) I am currently creating a Content Management System while trying to implement the idea of Model View Controller. I have only recently come across the concept of MVC (within the last week) and trying to implement this into my current project. One of the features of the CMS is dynamic/customisable menu areas and each feature will be represented by a controller. Therefore there will be multiple versions of the Controller Class, each with specific extended functionality. I have looked at a number of tutorials and read some open source solutions to the MVC Framework. I am now trying to create a lightweight solution for my specific requirements. I am not interested in backwards compatibility, I am using PHP 5.3. An advantage of the Base class is not having to use global and can directly access any loaded class using $this->Obj['ClassName']->property/function();. Hoping to get some feedback using the basic structure outlined (with performance in mind). Specifically; a) Have I understood/implemented the concept of MVC correctly? b) Have I understood/implemented Object Orientated techniques with PHP 5 correctly? c) Should the class propertise of Base be static? d) Improvements? Hi all, I am currently working on a building community website in PHP. This contains forms that a user can fill right from registration to lot of other functionality. I am not an Object-oriented guy, so I am using functions most of the time to handle my application. I know I have to learn OOPS, but currently need to develop this website and get it running soon. Anyway, here's a sample of what I let my app. do: Consider a page (register.php) that has a form where a user has 3 fields to fill up, say: First Name, Last Name and Email. I wanted the foreach ($_POST as &$value) and foreach ($_GET as &$value) loops to loop through the received info from the user submission and strip/remove all malicious input. I am calling a function called clean on the input first to achieve the objective as stated above. This function will process each of the input, whether individual field values or even arrays and allow only tags and remove everything else. The rest of it is obvious. Once this happens, the new/cleaned values will be processed by the fn_register() function and based on the values returned after the validation, we get the corresponding errors or NULL values (as applicable). So here's my questions: 1. This pretty much makes me feel secure as I am forcing the user to correct malicious data and won't process the final data unless the errors are corrected. Am I correct? Does the method that I follow guarantee the speed (as I am using lots of functions and their corresponding calls)? The fields of a form differ and the minimum number of fields I may have at any given point of time in any form may be 3 and can go upto as high as 100 (or even more, I am not sure as the website is still being developed). Will having 100's of fields and their validation in the above way, reduce the speed of application (say upto half a million users are accessing the website at the same time?). What can I do to improve the speed and reduce function calls (if possible)? 3, Can I do something to improve the current ways of validation? I am holding off object oriented approach and using FILTERS in PHP for the later. So please, I request you all to suggest me way to improve/tweak the current ways and suggest me if the script is vulnerable or safe enough to be used in a Live production environment. SSL confirmation dialog popup auto closes in IE8 when re-accessing a JNLP file

I'm having this very annoying problem to troubleshoot and have been going at it for way too many days now, so have a go at it. The Environment We have 2 app-servers, which can be located on either the same machine or 2 different machines, and use the same signing certificate, and host 2 different web-apps. Though let's say, for the sake of our study case here, that they are on the same physical machine. So, we have: https://company.com/webapp1/ https://company.com/webapp2/ webapp1 is GWT-based rich-client which contains on one of its screens a menu with an item that is used to invoke a Java WebStart Client located on webapp2. It does so by performing a simple window.open call via this GWT call: Window.open("https://company.com/webapp2/app.jnlp", "_blank", null); Expected Behavior User merrilly goes to webapp1 User navigates to menu entry to start the WebStart app and clicks on it browser fires off a separate window/dialog which, depending on the browser and its security settings, will: request confirmation to navigate to this secure site, directly download the file, and possibly auto-execute a javaws process if there's a file association, otherwise the user can simply click on the file and start the app (or go about doing whatever it takes here). If you close the app, close the dialog, and re-click the menu entry, the same thing should happen again. Actual Behavior On Anything but God-forsaken IE 8 (Though I admit there's also all the god-forsaken pre-IE8 stuff, but the Requirements Lords being merciful we have already recently managed to make them drop these suckers. That was close. Let's hold hands and say a prayer of gratitude.) Stuff just works. JNLP gets downloaded, app executes just fine, you can close the app and re-do all the steps and it will restart happily. People rejoice. Puppies are safe and play on green hills in the sunshine. Developers can go grab a coffee and move on to more meaningful and rewarding tasks, like checking out on SO questions. Chrome doesn't want to execute the JNLP, but who cares? Customers won't get RSI from clicking a file every other week. On God-forsaken IE8 On the first visit, the dialog opens and requests confirmation for the user to continue to webapp2, though it could be unsafe (here be dragons, I tell you). The JNLP downloads and auto-opens, the app start. Your breathing is steady and slow. You close the app, close that SSL confirmation dialog, and re-click the menu entry. The dialog opens and auto-closes. Nothing starts, the file wasn't downloaded to any known location and Fiddler just reports the connection was closed. If you close IE and reach that menu item to click it again, it is now back to working correctly. Until you try again during the same session, of course. Your heart-rate goes up, you get some more coffee to make matters worse, and start looking for plain tickets online and a cheap but heavy golf-club on an online auction site to go clubbing baby polar seals to avenge your bloodthirst, as the gates to the IE team in Redmond are probably more secured than an ice block, as one would assume they get death threats often. Plus, the IE9 and IE10 teams are already hard at work fxing the crap left by their predecessors, so maybe you don't want to be too hard on them, and you don't have money to waste on a PI to track down the former devs responsible for this mess. Added Details I have come across many problems with IE8 not downloading files over SSL when it uses a no-cache header. This was indeed one of our problems, which seems to be worked out now. It downloads files fine, webapp2 uses the following headers to serve the JNLP file: response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "private, must-revalidate"); // IE8 happy response.setHeader("Pragma", "private"); // IE8 happy response.setHeader("Expires", "0"); // IE8 happy response.setHeader("Access-Control-Allow-Origin", "*"); // allow to request via cross-origin AJAX response.setContentType("application/x-java-jnlp-file"); // please exec me As you might have inferred, we get some confirmation dialog because there's something odd with the SSL certificate. Unfortunately I have no control over that. Assuming that's only temporary and for development purposes as we usually don't get our hands on the production certs. So the SSL cert is expired and doesn't specify the server. And the confirmation dialog. Wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for IE, as other browsers don't care, just ask for confirmation, and execute as expected and consistantly. Please, pretty please, help me, or I might consider sacrificial killings as an option. And I think I just found a decently prized stainless steel golf-club, so I'm right on the edge of gore. Side Notes Might actually be related to IE8 window.open SSL Certificate issue. Though it doesn't explain why the dialog would auto-close (that really is beyong me...), it could help to not have the confirmation dialog and not need the dialog at all. For instance, I was thinking that just having a simple URL in that menu instead of have it entirely managed by GWT code to invoke a Window.open would solve the problem. But I don't have control on that menu, and also I'm very curious how this could be fixed otherwise and why the hell it happens in the first place...

Completing install of ruby 1.9.3 with Ruby for for Mac OS X 10.7.5 Leopard, Xcode 4.5.2 -- problems with rvm pkg install openssl

Embedding mercurial revision information in Visual Studio c# projects automatically

Original Problem In building our projects, I want the mercurial id of each repository to be embedded within the product(s) of that repository (the library, application or test application). I find it makes it so much easier to debug an application ebing run by custiomers 8 timezones away if you know precisely what went into building the particular version of the application they are using. As such, every project (application or library) in our systems implement a way of getting at the associated revision information. I also find it very useful to be able to see if an application has been compiled with clean (un-modified) changesets from the repository. 'Hg id' usefully appends a + to the changeset id when there are uncommitted changes in a repository, so this allows is to easily see if people are running a clean or a modified version of the code. My current solution is detailed below, and fulfills the basic requirements, but there are a number of problems with it. Current Solution At the moment, to each and every Visual Studio solution, I add the following "Pre-build event command line" commands: cd $(ProjectDir) HgID I also add an HgID.bat file to the Project directory: @echo off type HgId.pre > HgId.cs For /F "delims=" %%a in ('hg id') Do <nul >>HgID.cs set /p = @"%%a" echo ; >> HgId.cs echo } >> HgId.cs echo } >> HgId.cs along with an HgId.pre file, which is defined as: namespace My.Namespace { /// <summary> Auto generated Mercurial ID class. </summary> internal class HgID { /// <summary> Mercurial version ID [+ is modified] [Named branch]</summary> public const string Version = When I build my application, the pre-build event is triggered on all libraries, creating a new HgId.cs file (which is not kept under revision control) and causing the library to be re-compiled with with the new 'hg id' string in 'Version'. Problems with the current solution The main problem is that since the HgId.cs is re-created at each pre-build, every time we need to compile anything, all projects in the current solution are re-compiled. Since we want to be able to easily debug into our libraries, we usually keep many libraries referenced in our main application solution. This can result in build times which are significantly longer than I would like. Ideally I would like the libraries to compile only if the contents of the HgId.cs file has actually changed, as opposed to having been re-created with exactly the same contents. The second problem with this method is it's dependence on specific behaviour of the windows shell. I've already had to modify the batch file several times, since the original worked under XP but not Vista, the next version worked under Vista but not XP and finally I managed to make it work with both. Whether it will work with Windows 7 however is anyones guess and as time goes on, I see it more likely that contractors will expect to be able to build our apps on their Windows 7 boxen. Finally, I have an aesthetic problem with this solution, batch files and bodged together template files feel like the wrong way to do this. My actual questions How would you solve/how are you solving the problem I'm trying to solve? What better options are out there than what I'm currently doing? Rejected Solutions to these problems Before I implemented the current solution, I looked at Mercurials Keyword extension, since it seemed like the obvious solution. However the more I looked at it and read peoples opinions, the more that I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the right thing to do. I also remember the problems that keyword substitution has caused me in projects at previous companies (just the thought of ever having to use Source Safe again fills me with a feeling of dread *8'). Also, I don't particularly want to have to enable Mercurial extensions to get the build to complete. I want the solution to be self contained, so that it isn't easy for the application to be accidentally compiled without the embedded version information just because an extension isn't enabled or the right helper software hasn't been installed. I also thought of writing this in a better scripting language, one where I would only write HgId.cs file if the content had actually changed, but all of the options I could think of would require my co-workers, contractors and possibly customers to have to install software they might not otherwise want (for example cygwin). Any other options people can think of would be appreciated. The second problem also remains, and now I have no way to test if it will work with Vista, since that contractor is no longer with us. If anyone can test this batch file on a Windows 7 and/or Vista box, I would appreciate hearing how it went. Finally, my aesthetic problem with this solution, is even strnger than it was before, since the batch file is more complex and this there is now more to go wrong. If you can think of any better solution, I would love to hear about them.

hi guys i need help trying to figure out why the alert box doesnt show up when i run this. im also new at programming. html i due just fine. im currently taking a php class, and the teacher thought it would be fun to have us create a form and validate it. my problem is i am trying to call the function which then would validate it. Get the property, as a string, from an Expression<Func<TModel,TProperty>>

I use some strongly-typed expressions that get serialized to allow my UI code to have strongly-typed sorting and searching expressions. These are of type Expression<Func<TModel,TProperty>> and are used as such: SortOption.Field = (p => p.FirstName);. I've gotten this working perfectly for this simple case. The code that I'm using for parsing the "FirstName" property out of there is actually reusing some existing functionality in a third-party product that we use and it works great, until we start working with deeply-nested properties(SortOption.Field = (p => p.Address.State.Abbreviation);). This code has some very different assumptions in the need to support deeply-nested properties. As for what this code does, I don't really understand it and rather than changing that code, I figured I should just write from scratch this functionality. However, I don't know of a good way to do this. I suspect we can do something better than doing a ToString() and performing string parsing. So what's a good way to do this to handle the trivial and deeply-nested cases? Requirements: Given the expression p => p.FirstName I need a string of "FirstName". Given the expression p => p.Address.State.Abbreviation I need a string of "Address.State.Abbreviation" While it's not important for an answer to my question, I suspect my serialization/deserialization code could be useful to somebody else who finds this question in the future, so it is below. questions regarding the use of A* with the 15-square puzzle

I'm trying to build an A* solver for a 15-square puzzle. The goal is to re-arrange the tiles so that they appear in their natural positions. You can only slide one tile at a time. Each possible state of the puzzle is a node in the search graph. For the h(x) function, I am using an aggregate sum, across all tiles, of the tile's dislocation from the goal state. In the above image, the 5 is at location 0,0, and it belongs at location 1,0, therefore it contributes 1 to the h(x) function. The next tile is the 11, located at 0,1, and belongs at 2,2, therefore it contributes 3 to h(x). And so on. EDIT: I now understand this is what they call "Manhattan distance", or "taxicab distance". I have been using a step count for g(x). In my implementation, for any node in the state graph, g is just +1 from the prior node's g. To find successive nodes, I just examine where I can possibly move the "hole" in the puzzle. There are 3 neighbors for the puzzle state (aka node) that is displayed: the hole can move north, west, or east. My A* search sometimes converges to a solution in 20s, sometimes 180s, and sometimes doesn't converge at all (waited 10 mins or more). I think h is reasonable. I'm wondering if I've modeled g properly. In other words, is it possible that my A* function is reaching a node in the graph via a path that is not the shortest path? Maybe have I not waited long enough? Maybe 10 minutes is not long enough? For a fully random arrangement, (assuming no parity problems), What is the average number of permutations an A* solution will examine? (please show the math) I'm going to look for logic errors in my code, but in the meantime, Any tips? (ps: it's done in Javascript). Also, no, this isn't CompSci homework. It's just a personal exploration thing. I'm just trying to learn Javascript. EDIT: I've found that the run-time is highly depend upon the heuristic. I saw the 10x factor applied to the heuristic from the article someone mentioned, and it made me wonder - why 10x? Why linear? Because this is done in javascript, I could modify the code to dynamically update an html table with the node currently being considered. This allowd me to peek at the algorithm as it was progressing. With a regular taxicab distance heuristic, I watched as it failed to converge. There were 5's and 12's in the top row, and they kept hanging around. I'd see 1,2,3,4 creep into the top row, but then they'd drop out, and other numbers would move up there. What I was hoping to see was 1,2,3,4 sort of creeping up to the top, and then staying there. I thought to myself - this is not the way I solve this personally. Doing this manually, I solve the top row, then the 2ne row, then the 3rd and 4th rows sort of concurrently. So I tweaked the h(x) function to more heavily weight the higher rows and the "lefter" columns. The result was that the A* converged much more quickly. It now runs in 3 minutes instead of "indefinitely". With the "peek" I talked about, I can see the smaller numbers creep up to the higher rows and stay there. Not only does this seem like the right thing, it runs much faster. I'm in the process of trying a bunch of variations. It seems pretty clear that A* runtime is very sensitive to the heuristic. Currently the best heuristic I've found uses the summation of dislocation * ((4-i) + (4-j)) where i and j are the row and column, and dislocation is the taxicab distance. One interesting part of the result I got: with a particular heuristic I find a path very quickly, but it is obviously not the shortest path. I think this is because I am weighting the heuristic. In one case I got a path of 178 steps in 10s. My own manual effort produce a solution in 87 moves. (much more than 10s). More investigation warranted. So the result is I am seeing it converge must faster, and the path is definitely not the shortest. I have to think about this more. List/Grid Toggle for Photo Gallery with Shadowbox

so I'm new to this site, and new to jquery, and javascript as a whole really, but I have very good comprehension of HTML and CSS. For a class in school, I'm making a photo gallery webpage using the Shadowbox plugin. I have that part all down, but one of the requirements is to add some sort of user option that the user can change that will get saved in a cookie. (I haven't gotten to the cookie part yet) For my option, I decided to add a toggle that will switch the view of the page from a grid view (default) with images, to a list view of just the captions of the images. I figured out how to do that, but decided it could probably done in a much simpler fashion with the use of loops. Maven : Is it possible to override the configuration of a plugin already defined for a profile in a parent POM

To clarify some of my requirements : I don't want to get rid of the parent POM and the profile (wls7) defined inside it (since I need many and many properties, configurations, ...) and that is not the process in my company. A solution based on duplicating the parent POM and/or the profile defined inside it is not a good one. Since if the responsible of the parent POM change something, I would have to report it in mine. It's just an inheritance matter (extend or override a profile, a configuration from an upper-level POM) so I think it should be possible with maven2.

How to? WCF customBinding over Https

Hi all, I'm trying to setup a WCF service for internal use, on our external facing web-farm (we dont have a web farm internally, and I need this service to have failover and load-balancing). Requirements: PerSession state, as we need the service to retain variable data for each session. HTTPS. After lots of googling i've read I needed to create a customBinding, which I've done, but not sure if it is correct. Larger message size, as one of the parameters is a byte[] array, which can be a max of 5mb. no requirement to manually edit the client-side app.config. ie, I need the Developer to just add the service reference, and then starts using the object without fiddly changing of app.config. Note: I've previously had this service working under HTTP correctly (using wsHttpBinding). I've also had it working under HTTPS, but it didn't support PerSession state, and lost internal variable values each function call. I'm currently getting this error from the test harness: Could not find default endpoint element that references contract 'AppMonitor.IAppMonitorWcfService' in the ServiceModel client configuration section. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no endpoint element matching this contract could be found in the client element. NOTE: The error is arising on an Test Harness EXE, that has the WCF service referenced directly under Service References. This is not the problem of an exe referencing another object, that then references the WCF service, that i've read about. The WSDL is showing correctly when browsing to the URL. Help with understanding why UAC dialog pops up on Win7 for our application

We have a C++ unmanaged application that appears to cause a UAC prompt. It seems to happen on Win7 and NOT on Vista Unfortunately the UAC dlg is system modal so I can't attach a debugger to check in the code where it is, and running under msdev (we're using 2008) runs in elevated mode. We put a message box at the start of our program/winmain but it doesn't even get that far, so apparently this is in the startup code. What can cause a UAC notification so early and what other things can I do to track down the cause? EDIT Apparently the manifest is an important issue here, but it seems not to be helping me - or perhaps I am not configuring the manifest file correctly. Can someone provide a sample manifest? Also, does the linker/UAC magic figure out that the program "might" write to the registry and set its UAC requirements based on that? There are code paths that might trigger UAC, but we are not even at that point when the UAC dlg comes up. An additional oddity is that this does not seem to happen on Vista with UAC turned on. Injection of banners in my webbrowsers possible malware

Recently I have started to suspect that I have some kind of virus on my computer. There are 3 symptoms: Banners are being displayed on pages that doesn't use commercials, for instance when viewing screen-shots on Steam. It is only displayed after the rest of the page has been loaded and seems to be injected into it. The whole page is replaced with a commercial with the option to skip the commercial. The page is replaced with a search window claiming that the page could not be found. I have tried to scan my computer with Antivir and Adaware but only found a couple of tracking cookies. I have run HijackThis but since this isn't really my area I haven't been able to discern what shouldn't be there except the line about zonealarm since I have uninstalled it. Is there anyone out there who is able to see if there is anything suspicious in the log-file at the end or has suggestions regarding programs that might be better to find the virus than Antivir and Adaware? Cisco ASA: How to route PPPoE-assigned subnet?

We've just received a fiber uplink, and I'm trying to configure our Cisco ASA 5505 to properly use it. The provider requires us to connect via PPPoE, and I managed to configure the ASA as a PPPoE client and establish a connection. The ASA is assigned an IP address by PPPoE, and I can ping out from the ASA to the internet, but I should have access to an entire /28 subnet. I can't figure out how to get that subnet configured on the ASA, so that I can route or NAT the available public addresses to various internal hosts. My assigned range is: 188.xx.xx.176/28 The address I get via PPPoE is 188.xx.xx.177/32, which according to our provider is our Default Gateway address. They claim the subnet is correctly routed to us on their side. How does the ASA know which range it is responsible for on the Fiber interface? How do I use the addresses from my range? To clarify my config; The ASA is currently configured to default-route to our ADSL uplink on port Ethernet0/0 (interface vlan2, nicknamed Outside). The fiber is connected to port Ethernet0/2 (interface vlan50, nicknamed Fiber) so I can configure and test it before making it the default route. Once I'm clear on how to set it all up, I'll fully replace the Outside interface with Fiber. Something very strange with network

Hello, I have Windows 7 and I have very strange thing with my network. Some time I was connected through wireless router and my IP was 192.168.2.103, router's IP was 192.168.2.1 and some other IP was 192.168.2.100. The last I get from page "active DHCP clients" of web interface of the router and from "wireless clients" I may to see that 192.168.2.100 not (!) belong to my MAC address. Router build by EDimax. So after that I disabled wireless function of the router and restarted it. In this time I had not ping to 192.168.2.1. Also I had not any other connection, not wireless nor cable, but (!) I still had ping to 192.168.2.100 and I not understand what this voodoo is...
