    I have imported a GWT project from GIT , but when i run maven Install it says .m2\repository\commons-logging\commons-logging\1.1\commons-logging-1.1.jar; cannot read zip file entry and if i simply run my application , i get this \git\my-Search-Engine\qsse\war}: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/inject/servlet/GuiceServletContextListener I tried to find out the way , one solution i found was to move the guice-servlet-3.0 from build path to \qsse\war\webinf\lib but if i do that i start gettin the exception ava.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/inject/Injector any idea how can i resolve this

    What is the best approach for working at a customers site (with several people) where there maybe not internet access the whole time and using a subversion repository? (Migrating to Git or Mecurial is out of the question at the moment) But wouldn't it be possible to leverage something like, for instance the Git SVN Integration, to create a proxy which acts like a subversion repository for the clients and may be used at the end to synchronize the changes back to subversion? Is there already something like that available?

    We have a mercurial repository (the stable branch) on a mapped network drive (windows). I want to know what happens if more than one user attempts to push at the same time. Or if someone pulls while another is halfway through a push. Is the mercurial client notified by the OS that the file is in use by another process and bails? Is there a risk that I could corrupt the repository with this setup?

  • rsync over ssh is not working anymore, while ssh itself is working fine (Write failed: broken pipe)

    This issue started happening after i changed router. This is the scenario: Windows7 Host Ubuntu 10.04 Guest (VirtualBox) Ubuntu 10.04 remote server What i used to do is run a very basic rsync command: rsync -avz --delete /local/path/ username@host:/path/to/remote/directory This worked perfect until i did change adsl provider, and i changed router aswell: now, this happens: rsync on Ubuntu Guest is not working anymore (to any random server), if using this new router rsync on Ubuntu Guest is WORKING, if i switch back to old router i tried a new virtual box ubuntu install, and the command is WORKING with both the routers So, the not-working-combo is oldUbuntu + newRouter. To get things worst, i can state that (on the not-working ubuntu) i ping the remote host plain ssh connection to the remote host is working fine (i can auth, connect, and do stuff on the remote host) Because it's hosted on Windows, and we have some large files in the repository, we have to use the Serf HTTP library instead of neon. This is normally specified by manually editing the Subversion "servers" file on the client machine and adding the line http-library=serf Is there a way I can customize the TortoiseSVN installer to do this automatically? I'm just trying to get it up and running as easy as possible for our new SVN users.

  • Linq to SQl over WCF Timesout after several calls

    I have a L2S Repository class which instantiates the L2S DataContext in its constructor. The repository is instantiated at run time (using Unity) in a service hosted in IIS with WCF. When I run up the client MVC applicaton the calls to the backend WCF service work for a while and then timeout. I suspected perhaps a database issue as I was depending on IIS garbage collection to dispose of unused DataContext instances in the IIS host but when I checked the characteristics of the problem I notice the following: The client makes the call to WCF but the WCF service does not respond. Next, the client times out Some time later (several minutes) the service actually executes the request by instantiating the repository and servicing the call. I have checked both client and server traces logs and only the client shows WCF errors (the timeout error). Where should I look? Is it something in WCF or is L2S possibly blocking with unfreed conenctions, resources etc.? Many thanks Brian

  • svn branch commit - experimental commit

    I've made some experimental code that I would like to save in the repository, but I don't want it on the main branch. How would you commit this to a branch? Maybe I got this wrong, but of what I've understood about branching, all you actually do is copying already checked in code to another directory in the repository. I suppose one could copy the main branch to another location, and then change the working copy repository location pointer to point at that location, and then commit the experimental code. But that seems a bit long-winded. Is this really how you do it?

I am confused with "head revision" and "working copy", as they appear same to me. EDIT: Problem 2: Why cant we branch from Repository GUI itself, (would be head revision) ?     I'm releasing an application I wrote as an open-source project by creating a public source-code repository. I use a third-party library which is also open-source and freely redistributable. I'm not versioning the third-party library, but should I include it in my repository for the convenience of those cloning the repository or should I expect them to download the third-party library on their own? To be clear, I'm not asking if I should version the third-party code or if I can redistribute it, but whether it is standard practice to include third-party source code as a convenience.

  • MEF part unable to import Autofac autogenerated factory

    This is a (to me) pretty weird problem, because it was already running perfectly but went completely south after some unrelated changes. I've got a Repository which imports in its constructor a list of IExtensions via Autofacs MEF integration. One of these extensions contains a backreference to the Repository as Lazy(Of IRepository) (lazy because of the circular reference that would occur). But as soon as I try to use the repository, Autofac throws a ComponentNotRegisteredException with the message "The requested service 'ContractName=Assembly.IRepository()' has not been registered." That is, however, not really correct, because when I break right after the container-build and explore the list of services, it's there - Exported() and with the correct ContractName. I'd appreciate any help on this... Michael

    Any idea how I can tell AutoMapper to resolve a TypeConverter constructor argument using StructureMap? ie. Any ideas? Or ideas to other approaches for using Automapper to hydrate domain objects from viewmodel ID's using a repository?
