• Mysql server fails to start

  Googling since two hours, I require your assistance. I'm on a Debian virtual machine and I cloned it. The only change is the new IP adress it has. Mysql doesn't start any more: Starting MySQL database server: mysqld . . . . . . . . . . . . . . failed! There is no process called mysql. • jQuery-ui problem with modal dialog from ajax

  Hi I have following setup index.html with <div id="container"</div using anchor method I load different html content into this container. My content contains div for modal dialog "dialog-form" and I initialise it with the custom function from the javascript included in index.html on successful ajax load using callback $.get("callback.php",query, function(data){ $("#container").html(data); initPos(); // here we run javascript to initialise modal dialog }); Everything is ok until user click other menu (we load different content) and after that again clicks menu with this modal dialog, so page loads again, we call script again (everything is ok yet), dialog opens, information from the dialog is submitted to server and on sucessful sumbit I want to close the dialog with ('#dialog-form').dialog('close');it worked first time, but no longer works because we initialised this dialog twice and using Firebug I can see two different instances of modal dialog with the same name. So, what is the right way to do the thing? Is there any way to close multiple dialogs with the same name or maybe we can kill all closed modal dialogs when user clicks different menu?

  Hi, I've created an index with various bits of data for each document I've added, each document can differ in it field name. Later on, when I come to search the index I need to query it with exact field/ values - for example: FieldName1 = X AND FieldName2 = Y AND FieldName3 = Z What's the best way of constructing the following using Lucene .NET: What analyser is best to use for this exact match type? Upon retrieving a match, I only need one specific field to be returned (which I add to each document) - should this be the only one stored? Later on I'll need to support keyword searching (so a field can have a list of values and I'll need to do a partial match). The fields and values come from a Dictionary<string, string>. It's not user input, it's constructed from code. Thanks, Kieron

  For example, i always generate an auto-increment field for the users table, but i also specifies an UNIQUE index on their usernames. There is situations that i first need to get the userId for a given username and then execute the desired query. Or use a JOIN in the desired query. It's 2 trips to the database or a JOIN vs. a varchar index The above is just an example There is a real performance benefit on INT over small VARCHAR indexes? Thanks in advance!

  Trying to query a 'Favorites' model to get a list of items a user has favorited, and then querying against a different model to get the objects back from that query to present to the template, but I'm getting an error: "invalid literal for int() with base 10" Looking over all of the other instances of that error, I couldn't find any in which the asker actually wanted to work with a comma separated list of integers, so I'm kind of at a loss.   Hello, how can I change a default working directory/drive for shell in Emacs (on Windows)? Normally, shell starts in the same directory as the file in current buffer. However, when my current file is on D: drive, it starts in c:. Manually changing drive to D: in shell brings me to my directory of course, but I want to avoid this extra step. Is it possible?

  I want to run a HelloWorld JOGL programm on the commandline. I downloaded the .jars from jogamp.org and put the gluegen-rt.jar , jogl.all.jar , gluegen-java-src.zip , jogl-java-src.zip , gluegen-rt-natives-macosx-universal.jar , jogl-all-natives-macosx-universal.jar in a directory "jar" in my HelloWorld folder - as described in http://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Downloading_and_installing_JOGL . Now I try to compile with javac -classpath "jar/gluegen-rt.jar:jar/jogl.all.jar" HelloWorld.java as described on https://jogamp.org/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_a_JogAmp_project_in_your_favorite_IDE . • Chnaging Displayed Image on a Webpage Using Javascript

  Hi all, I'm having some trouble changing an image being displayed on a page by way of a dropdown menu selection. This works fine.. getting the dropdown menu to give me an alert when I make a selection. Even though the menu is embedded within a division, paragraph, and label tag, it still works.   I've written a custom view, with the OpenGL_1 technology, in order to let user rotate a red triangle just by dragging it along x axis. (Will give a rotation around Y axis). It works, but there is a bit of latency when dragging from one direction to the other (without releasing the mouse/finger). So it seems that my code is not yet "goal perfect". (I am convinced that no code is perfect in itself). I thought of using a quaternion, but maybe it won't be so usefull : must I really use a Quaternion (or a kind of Matrix) ? • ASP.Net MVC Toggling IsAjaxRequest property based on file upload?

  I have a form all setup to upload a file and that is working fine. However the way my form is submitted is through AJAX. The button that submits is still a type="submit" in case JS is off. When I save my form the controller determines whether the IsAjaxRequest is true and if so returns some JSON otherwise it does a RedirectToAction. When I don't specify a filepath in my input type="file" it considers IsAjaxRequest as true. If there is a filepath set then it thinks that IsAjaxRequest is false. How is it determining that? My other problem is that when it thinks IsAjaxRequest is false and does a RedirectToAction("Index") I don't actually get sent to the Index view. Thanks

• codeigniter site, swfobject not fully loading swf

  I am having a strange problem. I have a view that is supposed to load a swf. The swf was compiled with Flex and the mxml preloader displays but it loads a blank screen. When I path directly to the file it loads fully and works fine. • ASP.NET MVC Route Contraints with {ID}-{Slug} Format

  I have a route like following, ideally I would like it to match: domain.com/layout/1-slug-is-the-name-of-the-page routes.MapRoute( "Layout", // Route name "layout/{id}-{slug}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = @"\d+$" } ); But when I hit the url, I am keep on getting this exception: The parameters dictionary contains a null entry for parameter 'id' of non-nullable type 'System.Int32' for method 'System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult Index(Int32)' in .... The above route will match the following though: domain.com/layout/1-slug or domain.com/layout/1-slug_permalink Seems like the hyphen that separates the ID from the Slug is causing issues.

• Troubles configuring SSL for an Apache host

  I configured it on Friday night and all worked well. Today for some reason it stopped working and I can't figure out why. When you goto the secure page it's acting like I have a self-signed certificate and I don't. I have the host configured like so ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot "/path/to/site" Servername www.mydomain.com ServerAlias mydomain.com DirectoryIndex index.cfm index.htm SSLEngine on SSLCipherSuite ALL:!ADH:!EXPORT56:RC4+RSA:+HIGH:+MEDIUM:+LOW:+SSLv2:+EXP:+eNULL SSLCertificateFile /etc/httpd/path/to/mydomain.com.crt SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/path/to/www.mydomain.com.key SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/httpd/path/to/gd_bundle.crt Apache starts with no errors and I can't seem to find anything meaningful in any of the logs. It's got to be something minor but I can't seem to see it. It's an updated Centos/Apache VM. I have worn Google out.

• MySQL unique clustered constraint not constraining as expected

  I'm creating a table with: CREATE TABLE movies ( id INT AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY, name CHAR(255) NOT NULL, year INT NOT NULL, inyear CHAR(10), CONSTRAINT UNIQUE CLUSTERED (name, year, inyear) ); (this is jdbc SQL) Which creates a MySQL table with a clustered index, "index kind" is "unique", and spans the three clustered columns: full size However, once I dump my data (without exceptions thrown), I see that the uniqueness constraint has failed: SELECT * FROM movies WHERE name = 'Flawless' AND year = 2007 AND inyear IS NULL; gives: id, name, year, inyear 162169, 'Flawless', 2007, NULL 162170, 'Flawless', 2007, NULL Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?

• Rails: Object#id will be deprecated; use Object#object_id

  Hi everyone, Very quick question. My server is warning me that line 37 will be deprecated, specifically: #Server error: views/projects/index.html.erb:37: warning: Object#id will be deprecated; use Object#object_id #Views/projects/index.html.erb: 6: <% for project in @projects do %> 36: <%= project.id %> 37: <%= Matching.find_all_by_customer_id_and_project_id( @customer.id, project.id).id %> 38: <%= @customer.id %> Here's my confusion. Line 36 project.id isn't raising a warning, so I assume the issue is that I'm calling ID on the Matching model. Why is it the case that only Matching raising an error and not customer or project? How can I rectify this in my code? Thanks very much.
