• Problem with PHP/AS3 - Display PHP query results back to flash via AS3

  Hi, Ive made a query in PHP, and i'm trying to send the results back into Flash via AS3, but its throwing up this error Error: Error #2101: The String passed to URLVariables.decode() must be a URL-encoded query string containing name/value pairs. at Error$/throwError() at flash.net::URLVariables/decode() at flash.net::URLVariables() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete() Here is the relevant part of the PHP and AS3 code, including the query. • ExtJS: dynamically ajust layout after adding/removing some form fields

  I have form layout with some TextField elements and one HtmlEditor element. Some TextField elements are "hideable", i.e. could be hid or showed. After hiding/showing elements HtmlEditor instance break layout — there appear empty space or element doesn't end at the window border. Is it possible to tell to HtmlEditor instance use all remaining available space? Even in case when some elements are hidden/showed. I've tried to use anchor property, but it works well until some element removed from the layout. • ASP.NET validation not executing in a JavaScript showModalDialog call

  I currently open a pop up window from my parent page using using a JavaScript .showModalDialog function. The pop up window contains some ASP.NET validation controls which do not display when the user clicks the ASP.NET button to submit the form. If there is an error on the page, the validation message(s) do not display, the record is not updated on the server side and the pop window closes. (The asp.net validation controls do not stop the pop up window from doing a server postback) Has anyone expereinced this behavior before and is there any way to prevent it?   I'm experimenting with using a string for storing different kind of data types in a database. When I do queries I need to cast the strings to the right type in the query itself. I'm using .Net with NHibernate, and was glad to learn that there exists functionality for this. Consider the simple class: public class Foo { public string Text { get; set; } } I successfully use Projections.Cast to cast to numeric values, e.g. the following query correctly returns all Foos with an interger stored as int - between 1-10. var result = Session.CreateCriteria<Foo>() .Add(Restrictions.Between(Projections.Cast(NHibernateUtil.Int32, Projections.Property("Text")), 1, 10)) .List<Foo>(); Now if I try using this for DateTime I'm not able to make it work no matter what I try.   Hello, I'm looking for help to convert an ASCII MD5 hashed password into a Unicode MD5 hashed password? For example, I'll use the string "password" . When it's converted to an ascii byte array, I get a base64 encoded hash of X03MO1qnZdYdgyfeuILPmQ== When it's converted into a unicode byte array, I get a base64 encoded hash of sIHb6F4ew//D1OfQInQAzQ== All my passwords are stored in an md5 hash that was applied to an ascii byte array, but I'm trying to migrate my application's user data to a system that stores password in an md5 hash that is applied a unicode byte array. In case it's not clear, with the following C#code: var passwordBytes = Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("password"); var hashAlgorithm = HashAlgorithm.Create("MD5"); var hashBytes = hashAlgorithm.ComputeHash(passwordBytes); My current system uses this, but the system I'm moving to has a diff first time. It usese Encoding.Unicode.GetBytes. Does anybody know how I can convert my passwords? From X03MO1qnZdYdgyfeuILPmQ== into sIHb6F4ew//D1OfQInQAzQ== I'm guessing the answer is that I can't.. the encoding is being done before the hashing, but I thought I'd inquire the bright minds of stackoverflow and see if anybody has a way.

• Time flies like an arrow demo in WinForms

  Looking at the Reactive Extensions for javascript demo on Jeff Van Gogh's blog, I thought I'd give it a try in C#/Winforms, but it doesn't seem to work so well. • jquery tab switching links so they jump to top of page?

  I was given some great help by redsquare to get this far to change jquery tabs from links within the content, but I have one more issue that I'm looking for support on... When a user clicks a link to switch to a different tab from within the content, can i get the page to jump to the top of the page? Within my demo link, scroll to the bottom of the page to click the links and they switch tabs just perfectly, which you can confirm if you scroll up. So, I'm looking for the switch to also jump the user to the top of the page, so the user doesn't have to "scroll" to the top of the page to begin reading new content. • Loading JNI lib on OSX?

  Background So I am attempting to load a jnilib (specifically JOGL) into java on OSX at runtime. I have been following along the relevant stackoverflow questions: Maven and the JOGL Library Loading DLL in Java - Eclipse - JNI How to make a jar file that include all jar files The end goal for me is to package platform specific JOGL files into a jar and unzip them into a temp directory and load them at start-up. I worked my problem back to simply attempting to load JOGL using hard-coded paths: File f = new File("/var/folders/+n/+nfb8NHsHiSpEh6AHMCyvE+++TI/-Tmp-/libjogl.jnilib"); System.load(f.toString()); f = new File ("/var/folders/+n/+nfb8NHsHiSpEh6AHMCyvE+++TI/-Tmp-/libjogl_awt.jnilib"); System.load(f.toString()); I get the following exception when attempting to use the JOGL API: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jogl in java.library.path But when I specify java.library.path by adding the following JVM option: -Djava.library.path="/var/folders/+n/+nfb8NHsHiSpEh6AHMCyvE+++TI/-Tmp-/" Everything works fine. Question Is it possible use System.load (or some other variant) on OSX as a replacement for -Djava.library.path that is invoked at runtime?

• Blockchain API, AJAX request has stopped working, CORS issues?

  I've been playing with the multiple address look up API from blockchain info (documented here https://blockchain.info/api/blockchain_api), I had my code working earlier in the day but bizzarely it's stopped. The purpose of it is to eventually write a little JQuery library which will search the DOM for bitcoin addresses as data attributes and then insert the final balance into that element creating a polling mechanism to keep the page updated as well. The original problem I ran into earlier while developing it was because it's a CORS ajax request but later I adjusted the query per the blockchain info API documents and I added cors=true it then seemed to work fine but now it doesn't seem to want to work at all again. I don't get how changing computers would effect this kind of request. • Problems requesting the LDAP: The server is unwilling to process the request.

  We have written an authentication provider for a SharePoint web application which can requests multiple LDAP directories. One of the LDAP server have to be requested via SSL. So we imported the CA certificate which was used to sign the LDAP server's certificate into the certificate store of the SharePoint server. The following code snippet shows how we authenticate an user. The passed credentials (account, password) belong to the user we want to authenticate. var entry = new DirectoryEntry("LDAP://<ldap-server-address>", "cn=account,ou=sub,o=xyz,c=de", "password", AuthenticationTypes.SecureSocketsLayer); var searcher = new DirectorySearcher(entry); var found = searcher.FindOne(); When the code is processed, the call to searcher.FindOne() throws following exception. System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80072035): The server is unwilling to process the request What circumstance can lead to this error? UPDATE: I found some information about the error message. There the problem seems to be the certificate store, as the user has only stored the certificate in the in the user's store and not in the computer's store. Unfortunately we've already stored it there. So could this be still a certificate issue? UPDATE/SOLUTION: Actually the problem is solved. It seems as if the root CA certificate was imported correctly but the error messages the LDAP server responded was caused by an expired user account our customer gave us for testing.

Below is the code i am using: Ext.Ajax.request({ url: incomingURL , method: 'POST', params: {param1:p1, param2:p2}, success: function(responseObject){ var obj = Ext.decode(responseObject.responseText); alert(obj); }, failure: function(responseObject){ var obj = Ext.decode(responseObject.responseText); alert(obj); } }); but it does not work, the request is sent using OPTIONS method instead of POST. I also tried to do the same thing using below code but result is the same: var conn = new Ext.data.Connection(); conn.request({ url: incomingURL, method: 'POST', params: {param1:p1, param2:p2}, success: function(responseObject) { Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'success'); }, failure: function(responseObject) { Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'Failure'); } }); But when i tried to do the same thing using basic ajax call ( using the browser objects directly i.e. XMLHttpRequest() or ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")) it works fine and i get the response as expected. Can anyone please help me, as i am not able to understand what i am doing wrong with extjs ajax call?

• How can I get controller type and action info from a url or from route data?

  How can I get the controller action (method) and controller type that will be called, given the System.Web.Routing.RouteData? My scenario is this - I want to be able to do perform certain actions (or not) in the OnActionExecuting method for an action. However, I will often want to know not the current action, but the "root" action being called; by this I mean I may have a view called "Login", which is my login page. This view may include another partial view "LeftNav". When OnActionExecuting is called for LeftNav, I want to be able to determine that it is really being called for the "root" aciton of Login. I realise that by calling RouteTable.Routes.GetRouteData(actionExecutingContext.HttpContext), I can get the route for the "root" request, but how to turn this into method and type info? The only solution I have so far, is something like: var routeData = RouteTable.Routes.GetRouteData(actionExecutingContext.HttpContext) var routeController = (string)routeData.Values["controller"]; var routeAction = (string)routeData.Values["action"]; The problem with this is that "routeController" is the controller name with the "Controller" suffix removed, and is not fully qualified; ie it is "Login", rather than "MyCode.Website.LoginController". I would far rather get an actual Type and MethodInfo if possible, or at least a fully qualified type name. Any thoughts, or alternative approaches? [EDIT - this is ASP.Net MVC 1.0]

• Uploadify - Passing Information Back to The Original Form

  I have an Send.aspx page that has an uploadify control on it. Upload.ashx handles the file upload. I am adding a file record to a sql database in the Upload.ashx file and I need to get the ID of that record back from Upload.aspx when it is done. Can't get it working with Sessions. =( Something to do with an Adobe bug? What would the best way to handle this be? • Sharepoint OLE DB - field not updateable

  I need to write a simple C# .NET application to retrieve, update, and insert some data in a Sharepoint list. I am NOT a Sharepoint developer, and I don't have control over our Sharepoint server. I would prefer not to have to develop this in a proper sharepoint development environment simply because I don't want to have to deploy my application on the Sharepoint server -- I'd rather just access data externally. Anyway, I found out that you can access Sharepoint data using OLE DB, and I tried it successfully using some ADO.NET: var db = DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase(); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); using (var command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("SELECT * FROM List")) { db.LoadDataSet(command, ds, "List"); } The above works. However, when I try to insert: using (var command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("INSERT INTO List ([HeaderName], [Description], [Number]) VALUES ('Blah', 'Blah', 100)")) { db.ExecuteNonQuery(command); } I get this error: Cannot update 'HeaderName'; field not updateable. I did some Googling and apparently you cannot insert data through OLE DB! Does anyone know if there are some possible workarounds? I could try using Sharepoint Web Services, but I tried that initially and was having a heck of a time authenticating. Is that my only option?

  I have a advanceddatagrid that has around 15 columns. Some are string, some are numbers. I have shown 4 columns below. The number columns have formatting done for zero precision and 2 digits precision. The itemRenderer is just to show Blue Color if the number is +ve and Red Color if the number is -ve. It looks something like below ... I am trying to save the users setting of column order when he closes the application and reload with the same order when the user opens the applications. I am using SharedObjects and below is the code. for(var i:int=0; i< adgrid.columns.length;i++){ var columnObject:Object = new Object(); columnObject.columnDataField = adgrid.columns[i].dataField as String; columnObject.columnHeader =adgrid.columns[i].headerText as String; columnObject.width = adgrid.columns[i].width; columnArray.push(columnObject); } and then I save the columnArray to SharedObject. I retrive them using the below code for(var i:int=0;i adgrid.columns[i].dataField =columnArray[i].columnDataField; adgrid.columns[i].headerText =columnArray[i].columnHeader; adgrid.columns[i].width = columnArray[i].width; } How can I save and reload the Formatter and ItemRenderer data . I am having trouble saving the formatter and itemrenderer and reloading it again. I would really appreciate if you can shown the code. How can I reshuffle the columns but can preserve all the properties of it to the sharedobject and recover it again.
