  • Redirect .html but not .html?with=options

    - by Leonard
    I'm currently using an .htaccess to get round a problem with a CMS, nothing major and an htaccess fix is tidy enough. I'm currently using the format... redirect 301 /pictures.html http://www.domain.com/gallery.html The problem though this causes is that the CMS uses pictures.html?vars=here to select galleries and so the redirect breaks this part of it. Is there any way I can redirect pictures.html but not when it has variables attached?

    hello I integrated the membership subscription in the website, but I fail to insert data to the database. checking out all the function I make a txt file with php with data and generates me correctly. but I can not verify any data and less insert. <?php // read the post from PayPal system and add 'cmd' $req = 'cmd=_notify-validate'; foreach ($_POST as $key => $value) { $value = urlencode(stripslashes($value)); $req .= "&$key=$value"; } // Post back to PayPal system to validate $header .= "POST /cgi-bin/webscr HTTP/1.0\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n"; $header .= "Content-Length: " . strlen($req) . "\r\n\r\n"; $fp = fsockopen ('ssl://www.paypal.com', 443, $errno, $errstr, 30); // Assign posted variables to local variables $item_name = $_POST['item_name']; $item_number = $_POST['item_number']; $payment_status = $_POST['payment_status']; $payment_amount = $_POST['mc_gross']; $payment_currency = $_POST['mc_currency']; $txn_id = $_POST['txn_id']; $receiver_email = $_POST['receiver_email']; $payer_email = $_POST['payer_email']; $user_id = $_POST['custom']; //Here i make the txt file and it works correctly //but after this does not work or make a txt file //Insert and update data if (!$fp) { // HTTP ERROR } else { fputs ($fp, $header . $req); while (!feof($fp)) { $res = fgets ($fp, 1024); if (strcmp ($res, "VERIFIED") == 0) { //Verificamos el estado del pedido if ($payment_status == 'Completed') { $txn_id_check = mysql_query("SELECT Transaction_ID FROM ".$db_table_prefix."Users_Payments WHERE Transaction_ID='".$txn_id."'"); if (mysql_num_rows($txn_id_check) !=1) { //Si el pago se ha realizado al dueño especificado y coincide con el dueño if ($receiver_email == $website_Payment_Email) { //Tipo de cuenta segun pagado if ($payment_amount == '10.00' && $payment_currency == 'EUR') { //add txn_id to database $log_query = mysql_query("INSERT INTO `".$db_table_prefix."Users_Payments` VALUES ('','".$txn_id."','".$payer_email."')"); //update premium to 3 $update_premium = mysql_query("UPDATE ".$db_table_prefix."Users SET Group_ID='3' WHERE User_ID='".$user_id."'"); } } } } } else if (strcmp ($res, "INVALID") == 0) { // log for manual investigation } } fclose ($fp); } ?> I call this file with require_once () with the connection to the database any ideas? thanks

  • What "exotic" language feature do you use every day?

    - by fmark
    For most programmers using procedural or object-oriented languages there is a language-feature lowest common denominator: variables, procedures, standard control structures, and classes. However, almost all languages add features on top of this. Recent C# versions have LINQ and delegates. C++ has template metaprogramming. Java has annotations. What features such as these do you use every day?

  • Recursion problem; completely lost

    - by timeNomad
    So I've been trying to solve this assignment whole day, just can't get it. The following function accepts 2 strings, the 2nd (not 1st) possibly containing *'s (asterisks). An * is a replacement for a string (empty, 1 char or more), it can appear appear (only in s2) once, twice, more or not at all, it cannot be adjacent to another * (ab**c), no need to check that. public static boolean samePattern(String s1, String s2) It returns true if strings are of the same pattern. It must be recursive, not use any loops, static & global variables. Can use local variables & method overloading. Can use only these methods: charAt(i), substring(i), substring(i, j), length(). Examples: 1: TheExamIsEasy; 2: "The*xamIs*y" --- true 1: TheExamIsEasy; 2: "Th*mIsEasy*" --- true 1: TheExamIsEasy; 2: "*" --- true 1: TheExamIsEasy; 2: "TheExamIsEasy" --- true 1: TheExamIsEasy; 2: "The*IsHard" --- FALSE I tried comparing the the chars one by one using charAt until an asterisk is encountered, then check if the asterisk is an empty one by comparing is successive char (i+1) with the char of s1 at position i, if true -- continue recursion with i+1 as counter for s2 & i as counter for s1; if false -- continue recursion with i+1 as counters for both. Continue this until another asterisk is found or end of string. I dunno, my brain loses track of things, can't concentrate, any pointers / hints? Am I in the right direction? Also, it's been told that a backtracking technique is to be used to solve this. My code so far (doesn't do the job, even theoretically): public static boolean samePattern(String s1, String s2) { if (s1.equals(s2) || s2 == "*") { return true; } return samePattern(s1, s2, 1); } public static boolean samePattern(String s1, String s2, int i) { if (s1.equals(s2)) return true; if (i == s2.length() - 1) // No *'s found -- not same pattern. return false; if (s1.substring(0, i).equals(s2.substring(0, i))) samePattern(s1, s2, i+1); else if (s2.charAt(i-1) == '*') samePattern(s1.substring(0, i-1), s2.substring(0, i), 1); // new smaller strings. else samePattern(s1.substring(1), s2, i); }

  • Type-inferring a constant in C#

    - by Andreas Grech
    In C#, the following type-inference works: var s = "abcd"; But why can't the type be inferred when the variable is a constant? The following throws a compile-time exception: const var s = "abcd"; // <= Compile time error: // Implicitly-typed local variables cannot be constant

  • How can I get the name of the current subroutine in Perl?

    - by kiruthika
    In Perl we can get the name of the current package and current line number Using the predefined variables like __PACKAGE__ and __LINE__. Like this I want to get the name of the current subroutine: use strict; use warnings; print __PACKAGE__; sub test() { print __LINE__; } &test(); In the above code I want to get the name of the subroutine inside the function test.

  • How does Python differentiate between the different data types?

    - by wrongusername
    Sorry if this is quite noobish to you, but I'm just starting out to learn Python after learning C++ & Java, and I am wondering how in the world I could just declare variables like id = 0 and name = 'John' without any int's or string's in front! I figured out that perhaps it's because there are no ''s in a number, but how would Python figure that out in something like def increase(first, second) instead of something like int increase(int first, int second) in C++?!

  • asp.net Multiple Page_Load events for a user control when using URL Routing

    - by Paul Hutson
    Hello, I've recently set up an ASP.net site (not using MVC.net) to use URL Routing (more on the code below) - when using user controls on the site (i.e I've created a "menu" user control to hold menu information) the page_load event for that control will fire twice when URLs have more than one variable passed over. i.e. pageName/VAR1 : will only fire the page_load event once. while pageName/VAR1/VAR2 : will fire the page_load event twice. *Multiple extra VARs added on the end will still only fire the page_load event twice*. Below are the code snippits from the files, the first is the MapPageRoute, located in the Global.asax : // Register a route for the Example page, with the NodeID and also the Test123 variables allowed. // This demonstrates how to have several items linked with the page routes. routes.MapPageRoute( "Multiple Data Example", // Route name "Example/{NodeID}/{test123}/{variable}", // Route URL - note the NodeID bit "~/Example.aspx", // Web page to handle route true, // Check for physical access new System.Web.Routing.RouteValueDictionary { { "NodeID", "1" }, // Default Node ID { "test123", "1" }, // Default addtional variable value { "variable", "hello"} // Default test variable value } ); Next is the way I've directed to the page in the menu item, this is a list item within a UL tag : <li class="TopMenu_ListItem"><a href="<%= Page.GetRouteUrl("Multiple Data Example", new System.Web.Routing.RouteValueDictionary { { "NodeID", "4855" }, { "test123", "2" } }) %>">Example 2</a></li> And finally the control that gets hit multiple times on a page load : // For use when the page loads. protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { // Handle the routing variables. // this handles the route data value for NodeID - if the page was reached using URL Routing. if (Page.RouteData.Values["NodeID"] != null) { nodeID = Page.RouteData.Values["NodeID"] as string; }; // this handles the route data value for Test123 - if the page was reached using URL Routing. if (Page.RouteData.Values["Test123"] != null) { ExampleOutput2.Text = "I am the output of the third variable : " + Page.RouteData.Values["Test123"] as string; }; // this handles the route data value for variable - if the page was reached using URL Routing. if (Page.RouteData.Values["variable"] != null) { ExampleOutput3.Text = "I say " + Page.RouteData.Values["variable"] as string; }; } Note, that when I'm just hitting the page and it uses the default values for items, the reloads do not happen. Any help or guidance that anyone can offer would be very much appreciated! EDIT : The User Control is only added to the page once. I've tested the load sequence by putting a breakpoint in the page_load event - it only hits twice when the extra routes are added. Thanks in Advance, Paul Hutson

  • session management: problem displaying username in the header

    - by aeonsleo
    hi, I am working on a simple login and logout module for my website without any security. I am using wamp on a windows xp machine. I am creating session when a user submits the login informaton it redirects to a process.php file which creates the session variables and starts session. Now if the login is successful user is redirected to the welcome page which includes a header file(which displays the header involving signin logout help options) The problem is the header is not changing the signin link to logout as the user logs successfully. The below code is from process.php which initiates a login. $username = $_POST['username']; $password = $_POST['password']; //echo "{$username}:{$password}"; $connection = mysql_connect("localhost","root",""); if(!$connection) { die("Database Connection Failed".mysql_error()); } $db_select = mysql_select_db("tester",$connection); if(!$db_select) { die("Database Selection Failed".mysql_error()); } $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM user",$connection); if(!$result) { die("Database Selection Failed".mysql_error()); } $q = "SELECT * FROM user " ."WHERE Name='".$username."' AND Password='".$password. "' "; // Run query $r = mysql_query($q); if ( $obj = @mysql_fetch_object($r) ) { session_start(); // Login good, create session variables $_SESSION["valid_id"] = session_id(); $_SESSION["valid_user"] = $_POST["username"]; $_SESSION["valid_time"] = time(); Header('Location: welcome.php'); The following code is from header.php which is included in welcome.php </div> <div id = "userdetail"> <?php if(isset($_SESSION["valid_user"])) { echo($_SESSION["valid_user"]." " ); echo("<a href=logout.php>Logout</a>"); } else { echo("<a href = login.php>Sign In</a>"); } ?> | Help | Search <input type = "text" name = "searchbox" value = "" /> </div> </div>

  • Geben for emacs on Ubuntu 10.04

    - by jhedstrom
    I've had geben running perfectly on previous versions of Ubuntu. After the upgrade, and installing the latest version of geben (0.26), it only half works. Specifically, when in context mode, local variables are always marked as undefined. Has anybody successfully gotten geben up and running under Ubuntu 10.04, or is this a bug in geben (I've reported it as one, but thought I'd check here just in case there is a workaround). geben 0.26 xdebug 2.0.5 emacs 23.1.1 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.1 Thanks!

  • Dynamic Comparison Operators in PHP

    - by BenTheDesigner
    Hi All Is it possible, in any way, to pass comparison operators as variables to a function? I am looking at producing some convenience functions, for example (and I know this won't work): function isAnd($var, $value, $operator = '==') { if(isset($var) && $var $operator $value) return true; } if(isAnd(1, 1, '===')) echo 'worked'; Thanks in advance.

  • How to use the asin() function in objective c

    - by Daniel Thatcher
    I am trying to use the asin() function in an iOS app to calculate an angle from the y axis. I am using trigonometry, but I must be doing something wrong with the asin() function, as when I try to pass in 0.707.... as asin(rotation) where rotation is a double equivalent to 0.707..., I get around 0.78....., where as my calculator gives me 44.991..., which is about correct from the variables passed in. What am I doing wrong, please can somebody help me?

  • Is session destory not enough to clean the session

    - by Kamo
    When the user clicks a logout button, I connect to a script that simply does this session_destroy(); session_start(); I thought this would be enough to reset all $_SESSION variables such as $_SESSION['logged'] and $_SESSION['username'] but when I load the page again, it automatically logs me in as if the session is still active.

  • Mimic Windows' 'Run' window in .NET

    - by chaiguy
    I would like to mimic the Run command in Windows in my program. In other words, I would like to give the user the ability to "run" an arbitrary piece of text exactly as would happen if they typed it into the run box. While System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() gets me close, I can't seem to get certain things like environment variables such as %AppData% working. I just keep getting the message "Windows cannot find '%AppData%'..."

  • Rails 2.3.2: Accessing Model Specific Data in Another Model

    - by Gimli
    I'm using Rails 2.3.2 and using Paperclip to upload photos. I'm also using a slightly customized subdomain_accounts.rb to set some account-specific variables. My question is this: How can I set the bucket used in Paperclip to be dependent on the current account? Since this looks to be a model attribute set up early on, how can I override it later? Thanks.

  • Practical examples of using symbols in Scala?

    - by Jesper
    Scala has symbols - names that start with a single quote ' and which are a kind of string constants. I know symbols from Ruby (where they start with a colon). In Ruby they are used for some meta-programming tasks, like generating getters and setters for member variables (for example attr_reader :name to generate a getter for name). I haven't seen a lot of use of symbols in Scala code yet. What are practical uses for symbols in Scala?
