weird space in IE - Any suggestions?

The below table is the only element inside a body tag - This displays fine in Firefox 3 as i expect it to be but it does not look good in IE7. There is a weird space just between the nested table and the row above. textbox disappears in paging - php

Center footer fixed at the bottom IE

I started out with the basic Bootstrap template, then added the bootstrap navbar. form not showing for empty records

I have a relatively simple PHP page called editcustomers with 3 columns. The problem I'm having is that the form will show when there is a record in the database and the fields will be populated with that info. When no such records exists, the form is not even shown, eliminating the possibility to insert a record. My page layout is as follows: Column 1 shows a form containing customer information, allowing it to be edited. Column 2 allows ordering of products and showing how many products were ordered Column 3 shows the total paid so far, and the total owing. I'm trying to validate user input in php. This code will check if the values are null or not. If it is null, this will require the user to input the values that are null. When all the text boxes in the html form that came before this. This code will show the submit button, and that submit button will save the inputted data into the mysql database. Hello! I have a stupid problem. An jQuery.ajax request return me a full HTML text as a string. I receive such response in an case of error on the server. The server give me an error description which I want to place inside of the corresponding place of my current page. So now the question: I have a string contains full HTML document (which is not an XML!!! see <hr> element inside). I need to have for example only BODY part as a jQuery object. Then I could append it to the corresponding part of my page. PHP mailer containing HTML not showing correctly

Hi guys, here is some code I've been working on, basically I need to set up a auto e-mail that gets sent to a user after they fill in a form, which at the moment it is doing, but the HTML is not displaying as it should inside of the email client. I checked in Gmail, Outlook and Mac mail and none of them display the HTML correctly. Every time that the user selects one category, the subcategories are loaded (AutoPostBack=”true”). The primary user flow works fine: User selects one category, subcategory and selects a file to be uploaded (submitted). HOWEVER, if the user selects a file first, and then selects a category, the screen will do a partial refresh and the selected file will disappear (field goes blank). As a result, the user needs to select the file again. This causes an issue because the fact that the file is no longer selected can easily be overlooked. Seems straighforward --- but causing us a lot of grief. Any experts out there that can help? BIG thanks!

When installing Ubuntu (with Unity), I can't select the keyboard layout.

I can select language, (I wanted English), but I wanted to select "international (with dead tilde)" and I cannot find an option to do it unlike Xubuntu or Lubuntu. Usually, in previous editions, before unity, there were two columns ... one for selecting language and other to select the kind of layout and there was a box so you can test the keyboard. Now, there is only one column and I need the dead tilde. How can I do it? Why is Ubuntu hiding these options? Thanks

The problem is, q.owner_uid is not recognized in the owner sub-query. What am I doing wrong?

Random select is not always returning a single row.

The intention of following (simplified) code fragment is to return one random row. Unfortunatly, when we run this fragment in the query analyzer, it returns between zero and three results. As our input table consists of exactly 5 rows with unique ID's and as we perform a select on this table where ID equals a random number, we are stumped that there would ever be more than one row returned. Note: among other things, we already tried casting the checksum result to an integer with no avail. Dynamic model choice field in django formset using multiple select elements

Each group has 20-200 distinct product numbers (pnumber), so there are at least a few thousand CatalogItems. I am working on formsets for the Transaction model. Instead of a single select menu with the several thousand CatalogItems for the ForeignKey field, I want to substitute three drop-down menus, for group, run, and pnumber, which uniquely identify the CatalogItem. I'd also like to limit the choices in the second two drop-downs to those runs and pnumbers which are available for the currently selected product group (I can update them via AJAX if the user changes the product group, but it's important that the initial page load as described without relying on AJAX). What's the best way to do this? As a point of departure, here's what I've tried/considered so far: My first approach was to exclude the item foreign key field from the form, add the substitute dropdowns by overriding the add_fields method of the formset, and then extract the data and populate the fields manually on the model instances before saving them. It's straightforward and pretty simple, but it's not very reusable and I don't think it is the right way to do this. My second approach was to create a new field which inherits both MultiValueField and ModelChoiceField, and a corresponding MultiWidget subclass. This seems like the right approach. As Malcolm Tredinnick put it in a django-users discussion, "the 'smarts' of a field lie in the Field class." The problem I'm having is when/where to fetch the lists of choices from the db. The code I have now does it in the Field's __init__, but that means I have to know which ProductGroup I'm dealing with before I can even define the Form class, since I have to instantiate the Field when I define the form. So I have a factory function which I call at the last minute from my view--after I know what CatalogItems I have and which product group they're in--to create form/formset classes and instantiate them. It works, but I wonder if there's a better way. After all, the field should be able to determine the correct choices much later on, once it knows its current value. Another problem is that my implementation limits the entire formset to transactions relating to (CatalogItems from) a single ProductGroup. A third possibility I'm entertaining is to put it all in the Widget class. Once I have the related model instance, or the cid, or whatever the widget is given, I can get the ProductGroup and construct the drop-downs. This would solve the issues with my second approach, but doesn't seem like the right approach.

I'm trying to write an XPath that will select certain nodes that contain a specific word. In this case the word is, "Lockwood". The correct answer is 3. Both of these paths give me 3. count(//*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')]) count(BusinessLetter/*[contains(../*,'Lockwood')]) But when I try to output the text of each specific node //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][1] //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][2] //*[contains(./*,'Lockwood')][3] Node 1 ends up containing all the text and nodes 2 and 3 are blank. Can some one please tell me what's happening or what I'm doing wrong. ASP.Net MVC 2 DropDownListFor in EditorTemplate

I have a view model that looks like this: namespace AutoForm.Models { public class ProductViewModel { [UIHint("DropDownList")] public String Category { get; set; } [ScaffoldColumn(false)] public IEnumerable<SelectListItem> CategoryList { get; set; } ... } } It has Category and CategoryList properties. The CategoryList is the source data for the Category dropdown UI element. I have an EditorTemplate that looks like this: <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<ProductViewModel>" %> <%@ Import Namespace="AutoForm.Models"%> <%=Html.DropDownListFor(m => m.Category , Model.CategoryList ) %> NOTE: this EditorTemplate is strongly typed to ProductViewModel My Controller is populating CategoryList property with data from a database. I cannot get the DropDownListFor template to render a drop down list with data from CategoryList. I know CategoryList is getting populated with data in the controller because I see the data when I debug and step through the controller. Here's my error message in the browser: Server Error in '/' Application. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Thanks Tom As a followup, I noticed that ViewData.Model is null when I'm stepping through the code in the EditorTemplate. I have the EditorTemplate strongly typed to "ProductViewModel" which is also the type that's passed to the View in the controller. I'm perplexed as to why ViewData.Model is null even though it's getting populated in the controller before getting passed to the view.

Struts 2 development with Dreamweaver

Does anyone here use Dreamweaver for Struts development? I've been working on a web application using Eclipse/vi, but want to use Dreamweaver so that I can apply some nice looking Dreamweaver templates. I looked for tutorials on Struts development with Dreamweaver, but couldn't find any, and when I tried to import my page, a lot of stuff was broken, which I guess is expected since a lot of the html is dynamically generated by servlets/jsps. So, has anyone had any luck with dreamweaver/struts and if so, could you share how you configured it?

How to disable Cufon on certain elements?

Hiya, I currently use Cufon accross our site with something similar to Cufon.set('fontFamily', 'DIN Medium').replace('h1'); Now for a single H1 tag i would like Cufon to be disabled, this is without changing the H1 tag to any other tag, it must remain as it is. I can add classes etc to the H1 tag if required, and can do any HTML/CSS/JS just not changing the actual tag. Anyone know if this is possible and if it is how? Thanks in advance, Shadi

Is there a way to enforce this in this browser (possible even that the phone will have it's number mode on when entering the form)? And if I wanted to allow floats, is something possible then?
