jQuery UI datepicker will not display - full code included

I am having trouble displaying the jQuery datepicker as shown here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/ I believe I downloaded all of the proper files, but to be certain, I started from scratch and ripped the demo site. Not all of it, but what I believed to be the important parts. The result is no datepicker to be shown and no javascript errors. How do I invoke a SimpleModal OSX dialog on page load?

I was wondering if there is a way to invoke the SimpleModal OSX dialog box on page load? I tried http://stackoverflow.com/questions/522864/open-jquery-modal-dialog-on-page-load but wasn't able to make it happen. Currently, the dialog is invoked on clicking a button / link. I would like to invoke it on page load. Javascript with Django?

I know this has been asked before, but I'm having a hard time setting up JS on my Django web app, even though I'm reading the documentation. I'm running the Django dev server. My file structure looks like this: mysite/ __init__.py MySiteDB manage.py settings.py urls.py myapp/ __init__.py admin.py models.py test.py views.py templates/ index.html Where do I want to put the Javascript and CSS? I've tried it in a bunch of places, including myapp/, templates/ and mysite/, but none seem to work. Simulate mouse movement in Ubuntu

Problem Am looking to automatically move the mouse cursor and simulate mouse button clicks from the command-line using an external script. Am not looking to: Record mouse movement and playback (e.g., xnee, xmacro) Instantly move the mouse from one location to another (e.g., xdotool, Python's warp_pointer) Ideal Solution What I'd like to do is the following: Edit a simple script file (e.g., mouse-script.txt). Add a list of coordinates, movement speeds, delays, and button clicks. For example: (x, y, rate) = (500, 500, 50) sleep = 5 click = left Run the script: xsim < mouse-script.txt. Question How do you automate mouse movement so that it transitions from its current location to another spot on the screen, at a specific velocity? For example: xdotool mousemove 500 500 --rate 50 The --rate 50 doesn't exist with xdotool. I could write a script that uses xdotool to get the current mouse coordinates then move it a pixel at a time to the destination with a suitable sleep interval; what automated testing tool already does this? The reason why i ask this is the onload="if(loaded==1)inittextarea() code is working fine on Firefox and not IE8. Why is this happening? Is there something specific i need to do here? Hi All. I have a problem with Jquery UI modal dialogs. I have modal dialog (dialogA), which can create another modal dialog (dialogB). After the second creation and closure of the dialogB the overlay of dialogA disappear. Calling jquery function from ascx not working

Hi Guys, I'm having a problem with the following situation. I have an ascx which contains a submit button for a search criteria and I am trying to call a validation function in a js file I've used throughout the site (this is the first time I'm using it in an ascx). Having trouble plugging jQuery FullCalendar into Squarespace page

When I test the fullcalendar widget locally, it works fine. However, when I try to integrate it with Squarespace, it doesn't show up. Unable to run jQuery Masonry in a Sencha Touch 2 app

I am experience with Masonry on regular web app but can;t make it work here. It's like Masonry isn't running at all. It is being loaded (checked on the network tab) and jQuery is being loaded (on network tab and tested using if (jQuery) {alert('hey there');. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? }

Colorbox does not refresh its contents when I change URL

I am trying to make use of Colorbox on my webpage. One specific feature does not work as expected, though. In their example (Outside Webpage - Iframe specifically) Google appears in the Colorbox when clicked. When you change href on that link (Using Firebug or JavaScript, e.g.) to, let's say, Yahoo, it works as expected and Yahoo is displayed after click. But not in my case. Once I click the link, I have no way to change the URL. Href, as displayed in browser, changes (to Yahoo), but click always opens the first page (Google). What might be the problem? Vim lint check - only show message if there's an error

I have this line in my .vimrc, which means "when I save a .rb file, run it through ruby -c" (the ruby interpreter's error checking). autocmd BufWritePost *.rb !ruby -c <afile> When I save that file, I always see output at the bottom of the screen, so I get used to it and start ignoring it. What I want is to only see output if there are errors. I can see that when there are errors, after it says what they are, at the bottom, it says "shell returned 1." How can I modify this line so that it only shows a message if the shell returns 1? Is there a way to conditionally surpress output from a shell command run in vim?

How to get osx terminal.app and screen/vim scrolling to play nice?

OSX 10.6.3 terminal.app Am a pretty dedicated screen user. Terminal.app line buffer and/or scroll does not seem to work for me. That is while in screen anything that goes past the top of the frame is gone, can't scroll back to. This seems to work ok in other terminal apps gnome, cygwin. Problem running python/matplotlib in background after ending ssh session.

Hi there, I have to VPN and then ssh from home to my work server and want to run a python script in the background, then log out of the ssh session. My script makes several histogram plots using matplotlib, and as long as I keep the connection open everything is fine, but if I log out I keep getting an error message in the log file I created for the script. The way that I'm creating the figures is, loglog() hist(list,x) ylabel('y') xlabel('x') savefig('%s_hist.ps' %source.name) close() The script requires some initial input, so the way I'm running it in the background is python scriptToRun.py << start>& logfile.log& Is there a way around this, or do I just have to stay ssh'd into my machine? I'm have some that uses jQuery.clone() to get the html of a page and then add it to a pre tag. Jquery dynamic button : how to bind to exisitng click event by class

I have a click event triggered by the class selector inside the jquery ready scope: $(".testBtn").click(function() { alert("This Works"); }); This works fine for static buttons how ever this doesn't work for dynamic buttons which are added upon clicking the button with "addRowBtn" id. I'm guessing that it has something to do with that the button is created after the event is registered but still the new button has the 'testBtn' class so it makes sense it should work. Any idea what am i doing wrong and how to make the dynamic buttons registered to the class selector click event? Facebook Like Meta Tags not showing Images

I have implemented the Facebook Like button on all our pages and it works properly by posting to Facebook with the correct meta tags. However, the images do not show in Facebook. The image meta tags show up properly when I use the Facebook Linter, but they don't show on someone's facebook page where the Like is posted on their wall. Also, is there any way to have the info recache more often? The tags take forever to update. Our site is built with CakePHP. How to parse text as JavaScript?

This question of mine (currently unanswered), drove me toward finding a better solution to what I'm attempting. My requirements: chunks of code which can be arbitrarily added into a document, without an identifier: [div class="thing"] [elements... /] [/div] the objects are scanned for and found by an external script: var things = yd.getElementsBy(function(el){ return yd.hasClass('thing'); },null,document ); the objects must be individually configurable, what I have currently is identifier-based: [div class="thing" id="thing0"] [elements... /] [script type="text/javascript"] new Thing().init({ id:'thing0'; }); [/script] [/div] So I need to ditch the identifier (id="thing0") so there are no duplicates when more than one chunk of the same code is added to a page I still need to be able to config these objects individually, without an identifier SO! All of that said, I wondered about creating a dynamic global variable within the script block of each added chunk of code, within its script tag. As each 'thing' is found, I figure it would be legit to grab the innerHTML of the script tag and somehow convert that text into a useable JS object. Discuss. Ok, don't discuss if you like, but if you get the drift then feel free to correct my wayward thinking or provide a better solution - please! d

jQuery Ajax load images problem

I have a code that would call $.load() to get an HTML fragment. In the fragment there will be a list of images and a script that would do some calculation based on the list size. The fragment looks like <div> <ul> <li><img .../></li> <li><img .../></li> ... </ul> </div> <script> //... script to do calculation on the list width </script> Originally, I use css's max-width to ensure that the image would not exceed 180px. But as IE has no max-width, I use the expression hack. However, it seems when the image are first load, the script cannot get a correct width of image list. Seems like the script load earlier than the CSS expression. If it is a new page, I can certainly call $(window).load() to ensure all the images are loaded. But what can I do in an ajax html fragment request?

Little help with some (simple) Javascript code

I'm a newb when it comes to javascript. Perhaps somebody could help me with this. I assume it is not very complicated. This is what I would like: <SCRIPT type=text/javascript> var StandardURL = "http://site/Lists/test/AllItems.aspx"; </script> <SCRIPT type=text/javascript> var FilterURL = "http://site/Lists/test//AllItems.aspx?FilterField1=Judge&FilterValue1="; </script> var DynamicURL = FilterURL + DynamicUserInf (no space between it should be like one url link), dynamicuserinf contains different value depending on the user that is logged in no need to worry what is in it. It already contains a value befor this runs Get current URL in [var CurrentURL] <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> if (CurrentURL == StandardURL) { location.href= (DynamicURL);} </script> ElSE do nothing (i assume this is not neccarry with only one if statement) Hopefully not much of a mess.
