Can anyone suggest either the (probably small) java method to represent this intention or a really good resource specifically about programming dynamic stuff in RichFaces using java? Naturally I've read the javadocs, but they don't give me a concrete example of some JSF, the associated backing bean java code, and a screen shot of the resulting component. It may be asking a bit much, but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that with these three, I'd be able to understand the idea and apply it to many other component types in this family. The RF demo doesn't include dynamic panelMenus or drop downs so I'm a bit stumped.   • Cannot Install/Start MySQL Server

    Okay, I decided to migrate from MySQL Server 5.5.37 to Percona Server 5.6. I ended up removing MySQL Server by the following: sudo apt-get --purge remove mysql-server mysql-server-5.5 mysql-server-core-5.5 mysql-client mysql-client-core-5.5 mysql-common sudo apt-get autoremove sudo apt-get autoclean rm -rf /var/lib/mysql rm -rf /etc/mysql Now here is my problem, when I try to install MySQL Server 5.6 it goes through its process and when it asks me for a password, it comes up with Cannot set MySQL "root" password.     Hello! So... here's my story: I'm trying to create a SQL server data extension (to be precise, I'm trying to get some sample code to run) (SSRS2005). I've done the following: Placed the extension assembly into the ReportServer/bin folder. Placed the assembly into the Private Assemblies folder. Modified rsreportserver.config in, and added the assembly info to the data section. Modified rssrvpolicy.config, and added a code group for the assembly with Full Trust. Modified RSReportDesigner.config in PrivateAssemblies. Added the assembly to the data and the designer sections, specifying the generic query designer. Modified RSPreviewPolicy.config. Added the assembly with Full Trust. The new Data Source type is available for selection, but when I try to view the dataset I get this error: The data extension DataSet could not be loaded. Check the configuration file RSReportDesigner.config. The location of the assembly is configured properly (I think), because I've added logging code and I can see that the constructor of the Connection object is being called. In fact, I've added logging code to every method of every class in the assembly, and as far as I can tell the failure occurs right after the connection object's constructor is called. Any ideas on how I might proceed to debug this? Thanks alot!

I have no idea how to format the data. Here is an excerpt from the manual for the device. "The Net Manager Command structure consists of one start byte, one command byte, five bytes of data, and a one byte checksum.     I have a hybrid ASP.NET WebForms/MVC project. In my Master Page, I have a "menu" User Control and a "footer" User Control. Anyways. I need to pass some data (2 strings) to my "menu" User Control on my Master Page (to select the current tab in my menu navigation, etc.) My views are strongly-typed to my data model. How can I push data from my controller to my menu or at least allow my master page to access some data pre-defined in my controller? Note: I understand this violates pure ASP.NET MVC, but like I said, it is a hybrid project. The main purpose of my introduction to ASP.NET MVC into my project was to have more control over my UI for certain situations only.

    Is it possible to edit data in a SilverLight Child window when using RIA Services and Silverlight 4? It sounds like a simple enough question, but I have not been able to get any combination of scenarios to work. Simply put, I am viewing data in a grid that was populated through a DomainDataSource. Instead of editing the data on the same screen (this is the pattern that ALL of the Microsoft samples seem to use), I want to open a child window, edit the data and return.   • Reading binary data from serial port using Dejan TComport Delphi component

    Apologies for this question but I am a bit of a noob with Delphi. I am using Dejan TComport component to get data from a serial port. A box of equipment connected to the port sends about 100 bytes of binary data to the serial port. What I want to do is extract the bytes as numerical values into an array so that I can perform calculations on them. TComport has a method Read(buffer,Count) which reads DATA from input buffer. function Read(var Buffer; Count: Integer): Integer; The help says the Buffer variable must be large enough to hold Count bytes but does not provide any example of how to use this function. I can see that the Count variable holds the number of bytes received but I can't find a way to access the bytes in Buffer. TComport also has a methord Readstr which reads data from input buffer into a STRING variable. function ReadStr(var Str: String; Count: Integer): Integer; Again the Count variable shows the number of bytes received and I can use Memo1.Text:=str to display some information but obviously Memo1 has problems displaying the control characters. I have tried various ways to try and extract the byte data from Str but so far without success. I am sure it must be easy. Here's hoping.

  • Why does a user have to enter "Profile" data to enter data into other tables?

    EDIT It appears the user has to enter some data for his profile, otherwise I get this error below. I guess if there is no profile data, the user can not continue to enter data in other tables by default? I do not want to make entering user profile data a requirement to use the rest of the sites functionality, how can I get around this? Currently I have been testing everything with the same user and everything has been working fine. However, when I created a new user for the very first time and tried to enter data into my custom table, I get the following error. The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_UserData_aspnet_Profile". The conflict occurred in database "C:\ISTATE\APP_DATA\ASPNETDB.MDF", table "dbo.aspnet_Profile", column 'UserId'. The statement has been terminated. Not sure why I am getting this error. I have the user controls set up in ASP.NET 3.5 however all I am using is my own table or at least that I am aware of. I have a custom UserData table that includes the columns: id, UserProfileID, CL, LL, SL, DateTime (id is the auto incremented int) The intent is that all users will add their data in this table and as I mentioned above it has been working fine for my original first user I created. However, when i created a new user I am getting this problem.     hello stackflow people As a School assignment i'm required to implement Naïve Bayes algorithm which i am intending to do in Java. In trying to understand how its done, i've read the book "Data Mining - Practical Machine Learning Tools and Techniques" which has a section on this topic but am still unsure on some primary points that are blocking my progress. Since i'm seeking guidance not solution in here, i'll tell you guys what i thinking in my head, what i think is the correct approach and in return ask for correction/guidance which will very much be appreciated. please note that i am an absolute beginner on Naïve Bayes algorithm, Data mining and in general programming so you might see stupid comments/calculations below: The training data set i'm given has 4 attributes/features that are numeric and normalized(in range[0 1]) using Weka (no missing values)and one nominal class(yes/no) 1) The data coming from a csv file is numeric HENCE * Given the attributes are numeric i use PDF (probability density function) formula. + To calculate the PDF in java i first separate the attributes based on whether they're in class yes or class no and hold them into different array (array class yes and array class no) + Then calculate the mean(sum of the values in row / number of values in that row) and standard divination for each of the 4 attributes (columns) of each class + Now to find PDF of a given value(n) i do (n-mean)^2/(2*SD^2), + Then to find P( yes | E) and P( no | E) i multiply the PDF value of all 4 given attributes and compare which is larger, which indicates the class it belongs to In temrs of Java, i'm using ArrayList of ArrayList and Double to store the attribute values. lastly i'm unsure how to to get new data? Should i ask for input file (like csv) or command prompt and ask for 4 values? I'll stop here for now (do have more questions) but I'm worried this won't get any responses given how long its got. I will really appreciate for those that give their time reading my problems and comment.

    I have a website (python/django) that needs to use a load of Java resources that may or may not be on the same server. Therefore I am writing a mini webserver in Java that will receive a request and then when processing is finished, POST some data back to a url on the site. I have got the java code receiving connections on sockets and responding with some simple HTML. My problem is that I will POST data to the Java server and that code needs to act on the data. How do I go about reading the data that is posted in the HTML request, if it is even possible. If not, is there any other way you would do this. If you think I am going about this in completely the wrong way then please tell me and I will consider another method, but after conversing with some Java developers, this seemed like the best way for what I was doing.   • Reading a Serial Port - Ignore portion of data written to serial port for certain time

    I would like to read data coming and Arduino on a serial port on intervals. So essentially something like Take a reading Wait Take a reading Wait Take ... etc. The problem I am facing is that the port will buffer its information so as soon as I call a wait function the data on the serial port will start buffering. Once the wait function finishes I try and read the data again but I am reading from the beginning of the buffer and the data is not current anymore, but instead is the reading taken at roughly the time the wait function began. My question is whether there is a way that I am unaware of to ignore the portion of data read in during that wait period and only read what is currently being delivered on the serial port? I have this something analogous to this so far: import serial s = serial.Serial(path_to_my_serial_port,9600) while True: print s.readline() time.sleep(.5) For explanation purposes I have the Arduino outputting the time since it began its loop. By the python code, the time of each call should be a half second apart. By the serial output the time is incrementing in less than a millisecond. These values do not change regardless of the sleep timing. Sample output: 504 504 504 504 505 505 505 ... As an idea of my end goal, I would like to measure the value of the port, wait a time delay, see what the value is then, wait again, see what the value is then, wait again. I am currently using Python for this but am open to other languages.

    My Team are evaluation to a bigger Business portal. (Invoicing, Bookkeeping, Salaries.....) We are all used to work with DDD, O/R mappers with NHibernate as our first choice. We have chosen to work with CompositeWPF to keep modularity between all modules and part system in the business portal. Now we have evaluated Ria Services and are kind of disappointed how it works in a Data Oriented way, Data Oriented can be good in a service oriented scenario, but we feel that we can with an Object Oriented approach to, and we feel that we can get an application with less complexity with the OO approach than the DO approach. For example it doesn't allow Value Objects, Many-to-many relations, everything needs to have keys and so on. We haven't looked at WCF Data Services yet so our question is WCF Data Services our answere? Does it integrate good with Silverlight 4? Can we work with it in a OO manor?

    I've created two new custom attributes in the UserProfile. When the service we wrote returns data about a specific user by using the UserProfile object, sometimes the data isn't returned, even though if we look at the user in SSP it look populated. Some users work; this is the first user we set up with data. I'm not sure if sometime in the meantime after setting up the first user and testing, if there's something we ran and need to run again. How can I get all the users to get their data returned in a call to their UserProfile?

As it turns out the original answer wasn't definitive and problems were found. ======================================================================= In my app, I access my sqlite database at the following hard-coded location in my code: /data/data/com.mydomain.appname/databases/database.db If I turn ON copy protection in the Market Place, will my app still have access to this location? Or will I have to change it to something like: */data-private/*data/com.mydomain.appname/databases/database.db (or something like this) Since I have a Dev phone only, I have no way of testing to see if my app still functions normally after turning on copy protection.     Does anyone have any recommendations for plotting scientific data in .net (c# winforms). Some of my requirements are: real time plotting, 3D (waterfall), multiple axis, ability to accept BindingList as a data source and recognize any changes to the data. I also need a high level of user interactivity such as the ability to graphically select 1 or more series, draw regions. highlight part of a series, etc. So far I've looked at Nevron, Synchfusion, Infragistics, TeeChart and a few others.

  • jQuery ajax link, returned data includes a from that wont submit

    Hi everyone, I have a problem with the returned data from a ajax request. Basically when I click on a link it runs a ajax request to load some html into a div, that part is working fine the problem comes when the data has been loaded. Part of the html loaded is a form, this form works fine if I load the page directly but when it is loaded through ajax into the div it wont submit but the rest of the links in the html work fine. Here is the code that requests the remote html data: // Ajax to load image editing page $('a.editpicture').click(function(e) { e.preventDefault(); var picture = $(this).attr("id") $.ajax({ url: 'http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/viewpicture/' + picture, success: function(data) { $('#update-picture').html(data); } }); }); This is the form it loads: <form method="post" id="updatepicture" name="updatepicture" action="http://localhost/digital-xposure/index.php/members/editpicture"/> <p>Title<input type="text" name="title" id="title" style="input" value="<?php echo $title; ?>"></P> <p>Album<?php echo $albums;?></p> <p>Description<textarea name="description" id="description" cols="50" rows="5"><?php echo $description; ?></textarea></P> <input type="hidden" name="filename" id="filename" value="<?php echo $filename; ?>" /> <input type="button" name="update-submit" id="update-submit" value="Update details" class="button"> Or <input type="button" onClick="location.href='<?php echo base_url(); ?>index.php/members/deletepicture/<?php echo $filename; ?>'" value="Delete picture" class="button"> </form> Any ideas why the form wont submit after being loaded into the div?
