  • Ask Field formatting

    I am using ASK fields in a word document, wherein the user are prompted with questions and the document is then built with the answers that the user type in. My question is that word does not allow more that 200 characters in the prompt box wherein the user types in the questions. Is there a way I can increase its maxlength. Also I want to change the font color of the question asked in the prompt box. Is it possible?

The overriden method is called although the instance type of the base class is used and not the instance of the derived type.   • actionscript 2.0 input text box

    So, here's what I'm trying to do, and I, frankly, believe it should be obvious, but I can't figure it out. I am creating a very simple Artificial Intelligence simulation. And in this simulation there's an input box at the bottom of the screen (called "input" exactly). "input" has a variable in its properties that is called "inbox" (exactly). Using a key listener the script calls up a function when the enter button is pressed. This function has 2 if statements and an else statement which dictate the responses of the AI (named "nistra"). The problem is this, When I type in what I want to say, and hit enter, it always uses the second response ("lockpick" in the code below). I have tried variations on the code but I still don't see the solution. I believe the problem is that the "typein" variable holds all the format information from the text box as well as the variable, but I could be wrong, that information is in here as well, underneath the code itself.     I'm working my way through Graham Hutton's Haskell book, and in his recursion chapter, he often pattern-matches on "n+1", as in: myReplicate1 0 _ = [] myReplicate1 (n+1) x = x : myReplicate1 n x Why that and not the following, which (1) seems functionally identical and (2) more intuitive in terms of understanding what's happening with the recursion: myReplicate2 0 _ = [] myReplicate2 n x = x : myReplicate2 (n-1) x Is there something I'm missing here? Or is it just a matter of style?

I have come across this one, but it has not been updated since 2008. If not can anyone recommend a good book/tutorial site for this kind of set up? I did a manual installation (by the book) using the VC6 .zip. I'm running out of ideas of what to try.

    I usually see Ruby on Rails books using script/generate model Story name:string link:string which is a singular Story, while when it is controller script/generate controller Stories index then the Story now is Stories, which is plural. Is this a standard on Ruby on Rails? Is it true in other MVC frameworks too, like CakePHP, Symfony, Django, or TurboGears? I see that in the book Rails Space, the controller is also called User, which is the same as the model name, and it is the only exception I see.

    Hi, so I need the user to write a review about an article or book and send it to a DB via PHP but with some basic HTML formatting.. I mean, I have a form , when the user writes the review, the data is sent but without any kind of formatting, If the user want to write in a new line, the text is sent like plain text, I need to get also those new line breaks and simple stuff. I know how to use PHP and DB connection, I just need to know how to get those new line breakes and stuff..
